Monday, August 11, 2003:  Negotiate!
I thought to was going to be dull, but there's some interesting strategies developing.

10:30AM BBT  Jun and Jack are the first up today. Jack tells Jun that Justin might not be "acting right," and if they get HoH, they'll [Jack and Erika] put him and Robert on the block to get Justin out of the way.   "If you see Robert is having a hard time in the HoH comp, we'll take responsibility for that."  He wanted her to know that she and Jee were not targets (I guess).  Jun says she already has talked with Jee about the topic and will discuss it with him again.  This way, if Jun or Jee get the PoV, they won't interfere with the plans.  At first I thought Jack was crazy for telling her this, but why not?  Jun already knows the house is split, this only gives her playing options.  Jun had told Jack that if Justin goes, her and Jee would join Jack and Erika against Robert and Ali.  Around 12:20PM, she presented the idea to Jee as a viable plan (should Jack and Erika get any power).  Jee didn't seem committed to it, they were whispering with the water running, so it was hard to tell.

Another day has started, sort of...

11:10AM  The rest of the house gets a wake-up call.  At some point Erika snuck off to bed again, and at 11:30AM BB gave her, Justin and Jee a personalized, wake-up call with a little edge to it, "Erika, Justin, and Jee, I said it's time to get up for the day!"

12:45PM The stooges mull over the information they've received.  They think Jack's plan is pitiful.  Justin says he thought Jack was smart when he first met him, now he thinks he's a feeble old man that can't win challenges and has screwed up his chances of getting anywhere in the game.  Later Nate visits the HoH room with one last pitch.  Nate tells Justin he can't trust Jack, and Ali stabbed in the back.  Justin tells him that he knew she couldn't be trusted and tried to warn him when she talked him into using the PoV to save her.  Nate pleads for a reprieve, and this time Justin may be considering it.

Justin takes Nate's cause to the stooges.  He explains to them that Jack's the target for next week, "and remember the loyalty we felt towards Dana when she saved us..." So why not just move Jack's eviction up a week...   Robert fears that Nate could win HoH and start taking them out.  Jun joins the discussion and asks why they should believe Nathan.  Justin really gives Nate a strong pitch, and Robert strongly protests.  The stooges are going to talk to Nate again, but they are completely against it.  Justin, however, wants Nate as an ally, because he knows he's on Jack's list, so why keep the guy you know working to evict you.

2:00PM The stooges go to Nate to hear him out. Another meeting with Jun and the stooges follow.  The team decides to let things stand and vote out Nate (but the day isn't over).

4:04PM An Indoor LD interrupts the guy's basketball game.   The HGs could hear all kinds of construction going on in their BY, but when LD was over there wasn't anything new in the yard.

Nate and Ali discuss how they've carried Jack and Erika, who they believe haven't come close to winning a competition.

7:00PM  Jack and Jun talk about post-Nate strategy.  But how sincere is Jun?  Earlier we saw her campaign against Justin's wishes that they keep Nate and dump Jack.  Now we find her with Jack talking about about breaking up the stooges. After Jack leaves, Robert pays a visit to Jun's kitchen  followed by Jee and Justin.   When they ask what Jack was talking to her about, she lies and tells them he was just asking about tomorrow's vote.  Justin and Robert leave her alone with Jee.  She tells him that she was not going to try for HoH because Robert and Justin are bigger targets, so let one of them win it. She suggests that it might be good if Jee throws the competition too, but she tells him to do what he wants.

9:21PM We learn that Erika doesn't sleep in the nude at home.  She said if she gets up in the middle of the night, she doesn't want her dogs staring at her, "...and I live in California.  You never know when an Earthquake will hit and you'll need to go running into the street."

Sunday, August 10, 2003:  PoV Meeting Today

Morty's Memory Wall
(or: Last year at this time...)

I seem to be agreeing with the popular opinion that BB is boring this year.  We tend to forget, so I looked at my reports from this week last year to see.

Josh feels nuts when he's nominated in week five.

Eric just got evicted in a 3-4 vote (he was up against Lisa).  The HGs were let in on the twist and were shown that great video of Amy in "Margaritaville."  Chiara was HoH.  She nominated Josh and her boyfriend Roddy (remember the look on his face, she told him it was going to be Gerry).   Lisa won PoV and let the noms stand.  The America's choice vote was for a kitchen appliance and they got the microwave.

In my opinion, you're right, it was much more exciting, I didn't even mention Danielle or Marcellas.  You can re-live week five of BB3 HERE. (The audio-video clips may no longer work)

1:15AM BBT A House Divided Nathan asks the stooges why they're calling him a big baby,  "I'm not making deals or anything like Dana, I think I'm taking it like a man." The boys tells him that they were just repeating what they heard from Ali.  And Nate tells them he tired of Jun stirring things up by saying he shouldn't trust Ali.  The conversation continues, acting as a wedge to further divide the house.  When it's over, Jee wants a cigarette, but doesn't want to go outside with "them."  They discuss what a trouble making pain in the ass Ali's been, Justin says, "I told you she was a pathological liar!"  Jee takes it further by saying "All the women in this house are whack-jobs."  which isn't music to Jun's ears, "You're pissing me off."

Later Robert and Jee talk to Nate on the patio:
Jee: "I understand that you had to say what you had to say. But I don't understand what you meant about Jun."

Nate: "Well she just came up and said I shouldn't trust Ali and I don't appreciate it."

Robert: "It seems to me that it's been the fucking girls since the beginning."

Nate: "Yeah.  That's the girls...   And Jun's been doing this the entire game and all I said was stop--  'Stop causing trouble I don't want to hear it.' "

While this is going on, Ali and Justin are arguing about gossip in the bathroom.  You see, the problem here is that last year, the HGs were empty vapid people that did nothing but talk about pop culture (Roddy had hoped for so much more).  This group doesn't even have that going for them and they just talk about how miserable the other team is. All this talk about each other isn't good.

9:30AM BBT Wake Up Call  Does nothing by 10:45 BB Gets Justin out of Bed for a DR call, and the whole house is up.  Despite last night's bickering and a last ditch effort to get Robert to use the veto and put up Ali, it looks like everything's the same today.

Noon:  The PoV Meeting was held and Robert passed.  The campaign to evict Ali must have gained some steam, as Robert was heard to say, "I didn't use it, but I wanted to."  Ali's aware that she's a target of the stooges.  Erika says to her "he's got to go," referring to Justin.  Ali says, "Oh yeah, I have no problem with that.  I might just get HoH and do it myself.  I kinda like that HoH room."  Ali's still playing both sides, so I wouldn't depend on that.  PoV meeting image

At 4:22PM the HGs saw a plane.  It's not clear if the plane was towing a banner, or skywriting.   The HGs believe it was a message to them that they're going to Hawaii, they could read "Aloha, HG,"   But as everyone came out of the house to look, Robert says, "Oh shit, there's another one." and they switched to FotH.  When we returned (seven minutes later)  they were all in the house playing cards, talking about being called in from it. Justin blamed Robert for saying something before they have a chance to read it, once again we got FotH.  Later Ali confirms it was a banner.   There was also something on the banner about "03."   The HGs think it meant 2003, folks in the chats think it was "o3" as in "original three."  I'll go further, and suggest it didn't say "ALOHA" but rather "ALI HO," keep in mind that there are no lower case letters on those banners.

4:45PM  Nate asks Ali to rate Justin on a scale of one to ten, Ali: "Looks, uhmm, seven.  Personality, nine.  Overall: 7.2"  Erika rates her boyfriend (didn't know she had one), "Looks: Nine.  Personality: Eleven Overall: Ten"  She says he's her type, likes people and animals. She says Robert used to be that way. She doesn't understand why he is playing the game the way he is.  Things are so slow in the house that'll have to do as news.

6:05PM BB sends Justin to the storage room, they had beer and wine for tonight.  I guess BB was bored with them too.  There are pre-recorded BB messages for just about every occasion.  It's a male voice, it wakes them in the AM, cals them to the DR and reminds them when they've forgotten their mic.  There's a female BB, however that doesn't use the recordings.  I've caught her a couple of times and agree with the stooges, she has a very sexy, seductive voice.  Unfortunately, every time she speaks, it causes a FotH.

6:45PM As Jun stirs up dinner, she tries to stir up Justin by telling him that "they" say things like "blondes are more beautiful" because they're racists.  Ali's outside hoping she'll see another plane before BB does.

The evening concludes as usual:  Jack and Erika are sorry Ali didn't put up Justin for eviction.  They know their only hope is to start winning challenges, a line of thought repeated many times.  The stooge camp's targets after Nate remain as Jack, Erika and now Ali and sometimes Jun.  There's been a little discussion on voting Jack instead of Nate, but things are still on track with Nate's expulsion.  Ali's welcome in both camps, trusted in neither.  Nate still pouts, but less than before.  His mantra has been, "Oh if I only had one more week."

Saturday, August 9, 2003:  Sudsy Luxury Challenge
9:51AM BBT Big Brother wakes the HGs By 10:00AM they're starting to get up and at 10:30AM  BB announces there will be a luxury challenge in 30 minutes.

If the HGs complete the task, the reward will be laundry service for the whole house.   With women in one-piece swimsuits and men in tight trunks, they go out to the yard.  There's an area fenced in with vinyl with a big industrial hose suspended overhead.  Justin explains the rules, "Each of you has a letter, hidden in the patch inside your bathing suit. We must use those letters on the clothesline to form a word, the catch is you will have to remove your suit and each hang a letter to complete the word. We have 5 minutes to get the word right. If we get it right, the word will be our luxury prize.  Those of you who are a little shy, don't worry, because your cover will come from the sky!"

When the soap bubbles started flowing from the hose, the HGs had to remove their swimsuit and hang it on the line.   Inside the suits were the letters that they would use to spell out the mystery word,
"L-A-U-N-D-R-Y"  Ali figured it out first.  The prize was laundry service for the week, but some of the HGs aren't real pleased because in the past the service lost as much as they returned.  Jun says, "I'm not sending them my panties."   They're happy they can send out their sheets and towels, those that have sheets.  Justin was just happy that the contest was something clean this time.  Everyone got an eyeful of each other, but there were many FotHs to prevent us from seeing much.  Apparently the bubbles didn't provide ample coverage, and Jun suggests they use some computer generated bubbles in editing.

12:15PM Jun's cooking while Erika, Ali, Jack and Nate play cards, the stooges are not shown.  So it appears we had our hour of fun, and it's back to dullsville.

2:00PM Subway Lunch Arrives.  Rob brings up the subject of Erika's breasts and Nate asks her how much they cost, she couldn't remember.  Erika picks her favorite L.A. area places to live:  Bel Air, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, Westwood, West Hollywood.

3:15PM  Jun tells Robert and Jee that Nate and Ali are racist.  She said they were telling Mexican and Chinese jokes, like when Ali asked, "What do you call a Mexican Baptism?  A bean dip."  Jun, says, "Can you imagine how they talk when we're not here?"  Rob says they gotta go, they [Nate and Ali] make him sick.

Midnight:  (Had to wait over six hours to find something to write.)  Incorrectly reported elsewhere on the net, was that Nate, Erika and Jack where told about the California recall election. They were talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger making a run for governor and Erica said the Republicans wouldn't but him on the ticket because he's from "liberal Hollywood." Jack and Nate said he'd make a good governor.   Although the subject is current, their point of reference was dated.

Friday, August 8, 2003:  Robert wins PoV
While we wait for something to happen, you might want to read this interview with "Big Brother" producer, Arnold Shapiro. on MediaFiends.com .  He tells us there's still a twist coming.  Explains that the sequester house is at a secret location, not on the CBS lot.  He wouldn't answer questions about how the show was cast.   Start here and read PART 1 and then go here to PART 2.  It's a very good interview, the second part includes info on Shapiro's other reality show, "The Family," which airs on ABC, Wednesday at 10:00PM.

8:45AM BBT Wake-Up Call PoV Challenge in 90 Minutes, but at 11:00AM the contest hadn't begun.  At 11:08 we got FotH, so maybe it's starting now.  1:00PM (That was a really long FotH!)  All four feeds were on the oasis room where Jack and Erika were talking about the irony of the game.  They played a game based on Quoridor.  PoV Quoridor gameimage Jack says Nate played poorly, and it was like Jee had never played before.  I determined that Robert had won, and posted it as so.  After checking my two favorite update sites, (www.bbchatter.com and www.bb4bbq.com) they had Jee listed as the winner.   So I switched my site to Jee, and then BB4BBQ switched to Robert. It's been a rough day.  I think it's Robert.  If I'm wrong it doesn't matter, neither will use it.  1:50PM Subway lunch arrives.

4:00PM Nothing's Happening.  Stooges Hang Out  [5 minutes] image If you're wondering what they're doing, just play the clip.  If you want to hear what they said yesterday,  just play the clip. if you want to know what they'll say tomorrow, just play the clip.  BTW, the clip also has confirmation that Robert won the PoV.

Tonight's Broadcast:  Showed re-caps of Dana's eviction,  and the HoH contest, followed by new footage of Justin getting his HoH room.  The segment centered around  the ego and arrogance of the stooges, but hey, they won...  On the other side, we also saw Jack flaunting the fact that he had food when Robert and Jee did not.  The second quarter showed the Slice 'n' Dice food competition image, and the HG's reaction to seeing the smaller table for the first time.  We saw another look at Jun and Jee's relationship and history, followed by Robert and Erika's relationship and history, which focused on Robert's overcoming his drinking problem.   The third quarter of the show included the eviction nominations image.

Meanwhile back in the house...  Ali's still trying to calm Nate, telling him to try again to talk to Justin.  It's pretty much a rerun of last night's talk at 8:35PM.

7:30PM  Ali, Nate, Erika and Jack are playing cards, Robert is in the hot tub, Jun is in the kitchen, Justin's on the basketball court, and Jee is just sort-of roaming.  And there's nothing to report in the BB house.   Things could change, the HGs are expecting booze tonight, and Justin wants to have a talk with Nate.

8:45PM Ali's in the HRD room with Nate. They're teasing each other and I think Ali's trying to cheer him up (you can't really tell what Ali's up to half the time).  Nate was surprised to hear that when they leave they don't get to do the press tour, "No Letterman, no Entertainment Tonight, no Jimmy Kimmel, straight to sequester..."  In a moment of true reality, Nathan says, "I don't think we'll be real famous when we get out of here."  Ali agrees, reminding him that no one else became famous on Big Brother, if it was really popular Nate would have heard of it before he was selected to be on it.  They laugh about Robert's promises to hook the stooges up with the VP of Warner Brothers and all the hot babes that will want to sleep with them.

Their teasing continues with Nate asking, "Why are you so high strung?
Ali: "Why are you so feminine?"
Nate: "Who says I'm feminine?"
Ali: "Me."
Nate: "That's your opinion."
Ali: "My opinion and America's."  "I may be know as the flirt but you're the fag of the house."

Jack: "But I did make a great strawberry.  I'm gonna parlay that into something when I get out of here.

10:30PM Basketball continues, Nathan's joined the game now too.  Later, Jack pumps up Nathan telling him that Hollywood will be clamoring for him when he gets out.  Nate says he's done some modeling "back in Oklahoma."  Nate hopes to see Michelle again, and even adds "I always said I wanted to marry a virgin."

With Dana gone, Jun takes over the nightly back rubs for King Justin.

After Ali works on Nate all day to talk to Justin about the eviction, we hear Justin telling the stooges that he has doesn't want to hear any more of Nate's lame offers, "The fact that he was nominated should tell him I'm not interested."

Justin tells Jee he should propose to Carmen on live TV, Robert adds, "It would be a first." (I guess they missed it when Mike Boogie did it two years ago.) Justin thinks an engagement ring is a great thing.  All you do is buy one, if you break up, you get the ring back and give it to the next girl.  "You only need one engagement ring in your life.  They're a good investment."  Justin also thinks the best deal in the world is for a man to divorce after he has kids like his dad did.  Then you've got the best of both worlds, you have the kids to hang out with, and some responsibility, but you have the freedom to go out and do what you want.

Thursday, August 7, 2003:  Food Competition and Nominations Today
Today's food challenge will be a whole house contest, rather than teams.  It should begin around 11:00AM BBT

Here's the plan as I understand it:  Justin puts up Nate and Jack.  If Nate or Jack win PoV, Erika goes up.  If Erika wins PoV and uses it, Ali goes up (but they vote out Nate). Ali will not win PoV because it would only cause her problems.  She has a deal with Nate to use PoV to save him, as he did her, and she has a deal with Justin to not use the PoV to save anyone.  It's not a given that Jun will vote Nate, sometimes Jack gives her the creeps.  Jee, Robert and Erika will vote Nate.  Ali may vote Jack, it shouldn't really matter.  Remember, this is Big Brother, plans change.

Nathan's Ex:  So many people have asked me to comment on the rumor that Nathan's ex-girlfriend will be brought into the house. I could believe this, except that she's the one spreading the rumor.  She'd be sequestered if they intended to introduce her into the game.  And when would this twist happen?  This might be Nate's last week.  It's not a good idea to plan your big twist around an HG that could have been voted out in the first week.  So I don't see any truth in this one either.

Dreamer captures Chef Justin getting ready for the food contest.
Robert as a wiener.
Banana Jun about to be covered in goo.
When the HGs return to the house, they found a new smaller kitchen table.

9:45AM Slice 'n' Dice Food Competition:  The HGs divided into four pairs.  Each couple had a chef, with poofy hat, and represented a meal.  Erika and Jack were the pair representing breakfast, Erika was the chef, and Jack played the role of the food that Erika had to prepare.   Food Competition image

As the game begins, the chef must run to a recipe board and reveal the ingredients, then in just ten minutes, the chef had to prepare the meal, using her partner as an ingredient.  In breakfast, the recipe was:
Recipe:
Get Into Fruit Suit
Add cereal to bowl
Add sugar
Pour in milk
Top with fruit (Jack)
The retired FBI man is
is dressed as a giant strawberry and will be added to a giant bowl of cereal and milk.

For lunch, Robert was dressed as a hot dog that chef Jee put on a giant bun and covered with mustard and catsup.  For dinner chef Ali will prepare chicken fajitas with Nate in a chicken outfit, wrapped in a giant  tortilla with sour cream, guacamole and onions.  Alison sustained a minor injury while preparing her dish when her ring cracked and went into her finger.  For dessert chef Justin prepared a banana split, that included gallons of chocolate syrup, ice cream,  whipped cream, sprinkles and strawberry sauce, dumped on a banana named Jun. Jun gets creamed image

The HGs completed all their recipes in time and won their food, including Subway for the weekend.

3:00PM  Happy Birthday Ali  BB calls Justin to the DR.  There are sundaes in the storage room and they're going to surprise Ali with them for her birthday (no cake).  By 3:15PM they where eating their sundaes and it seemed a little sad that that's all there was.  I think Ali might have been a little homesick too.

5:00PM  Nominations.  All feeds are FotH and this is the regular time for nominations.  If I haven't covered this before, here's what happens.  Before the HoH goes to his room with the keys, he is called to the DR, where BB prompts him on what is to be said and what to do,  where to stand, how to put the keys in the box, etc...  This is followed by an outdoor LD.  While the HGs are out, a cameraman comes in and shoots scenes of the memory wall to be used on the show.  The LD is usually about a half hour.  Next, live feed viewers get FotH until everything's over.  The the HoH comes in and takes the keys from the wall, goes to their room and puts the keys in the box like you see on TV.  The  HGs are called in, meeting held, and only after all that do the live feeds go back on.  Then we listen like detectives to determine who got nominated.

6:30PM Conspiracy Theories: Both in and outside the house rumors and conspiracy theories abound.  Prior to the live show, I heard Jack say to Erika, "If you think I should throw the competition, I will."  It happened at a time when the folks in the control room had just come back from a FotH and where jumping around the house looking for a scene to focus on, so the comment was caught completely out of context and without reply. I thought Jack was sincere in his shock that he got the question wrong. Today, Ali surmises that Jack threw the HoH competition.  Both inside and outside the house people have suggested that the contest was rigged so that Justin would win on a question that only he knew the answer to.  The HGs later recalled that they read each others answers when they all entered the house, so although Justin was the only one with Alison's calendar, they all knew that the animal she would most like to be is an elephant.

6:45PM  Ali's Injury  Ali tells the HGs more about what happened when the food competition was stopped.  BB asked Ali to hold her finger up so the camera could focus on her finger.  When they saw the seriousness of the injury, they sent her to the storage room where she waited covered in guacamole for the CBS paramedics.  Ali was seen by a woman who removed the ring, which Ali says went into her finger so deep it hit the bone.  BB wasn't going to let her return to the game, but Ali insisted and they picked up right where they left off.

Random Stuff:  Ali says that if things don't work out with Donny she may move to New York or L.A.,  It may not work out for Ali and Donny, she says "He can't even hold down a job.  How could he provide for me?  Even now he borrows my car for weeks at a time." Justin would visit Jack outside the house, Robert wouldn't.   When Jun and Jee dated, Jee had a crush on Topanga from "Boy Meets World."  Jun says he even wanted to name their daughter "Topanga," whereas Jun would have named their son, "Heaven,"  that's one boy that would learn to fight early.  Ali told Rob she'd like to win PoV and then not use it to save Nate, but both Ali and Jun talked and said they weren't even going to try to win PoV.  Jun?  Right, Jun shared a bed with Nate last night.

8:15PM:   Nate pouts in the HRD room while Ali explains that she didn't turn on him.  Ali says she still cares for him and if he wants to stay he should try to make a deal with Justin.  Nate says he tried, but Justin wouldn't even look him in the eye.  Ali says Justin is stupid if he wants Nate out.  Nate still feels that Ali is the only one in the house that deserves to win.  Nate says he knows he's leaving , but he will go out will his integrity, knowing that he kept his word, and didn't lie.

8:30PM:   Jun prepared a terrific chicken dinner that made me hungry.  After the dishes were done the boys worked out on the patio.

First they vote out Dave, and tonight they eliminated my favorite team on The Amazing Race, reality TV just isn't fun anymore.

Wednesday, August 6, 2003:  Live Eviction & HoH Contest Tonight

While we wait for tonight's exciting live show, you may want to read an interview with Alison's mother, from the Alison Irwin website. CLICK HERE.  Alison's mom says she talks to Donny every day.

Ever read the Starr report on Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky?  There's a part in it where Monica says "I love you" to Clinton.  Clinton replies, "Well thank you, that's always nice to hear."  This morning Ericas_Hideous_Hat_Boots_&_Glasses on www.bbchatter.com caught this similar moment:

-----
Dana: "You know I love you right?"
Justin:  [Quiet you can hear the crickets chirping for miles. ]

Dana whispers that she fell in love with him when she first saw him enter the house.
Justin changes the subject starts talking about Pennsylvania.

Justin whispers to Dana and says that for the finals for BB he couldn't afford the ticket/airfare to come out for the finals of BB and Ali paid for his ticket, no one knows it's a secret. No FOTH when he says this. A lie maybe? Hmmm
------

A game of cards can be intense if you play with the right people.

Many of you have asked how they cast the x-factor BB parts.  It all sounds a little shady if you ask me.  From what I've been able to piece together, Jun's brother applied to be on the show, told them about Jun and Jee and BB went out and found them.  Jee never applied to be on the show. It sounds like Jun knew Jee was going to be on the show before they entered the house.  Now we've got this info that Ali paid Justin's airfare to come out for the finals [Hey Donny, you readin' this?] .

10:40AM:  Wake-Up Call, no one moved, second wake up call at 10:41AM

1:45PM:  The HGs are in rehearsal for the live show,   This is what we see image    This is what I think image

2:45PM: Nate and Ali discuss targets for next week.  Nate says he'd put up Justin and Jee.  Alison agrees that it's a good idea.   The HGs have been memorizing facts about their time in the BB house, in the hope one of the facts will turn up in a HoH competition quiz.

The Broadcast:  Julie introduced a Dana segment that showed Erika and Jack considering the pros and cons of voting out Jun, because Dana does not have them as targets.  Was saw Jun's stress over Dana's campaign, and Ali playing both sides.  Julie asked Erika how it feels to be the oldest girl in the house, "the big sister."  Erika say's she likes being with the girls, it makes her feel young.  There was chat with Justin and Jee, since it's their significant others on the block.  The DR scenes were teases of how the HGs voted, leading us to think it might be Jun that's leaving.  This was followed by clips of Lisa, Dana's cousin and roommate and scenes of Dana breaking boards in her karate gi.  Next up was Jun's brother, Danny  saying that Jun's mother choose not to watch the show, as it's not part of her culture for women to where bikinis on TV.  The HoH chat with Julie and Alison revealed that her alliance with Nate isn't all that tight.  She also said she intends to honor her deal with Justin, not to nominate him, or vote against him.

The second half started with a tribute to the three stooges, narrated mostly by Jack, who says Justin is their Moe.  Julie then spoke to Dana and Jun briefly before going into the break.  The eviction image The 6-0 vote was announced followed by hugs and the walk to Julie's studio.  Dana told Julie the vote was 6-0 because she told her people that if they were sure they couldn't save her, to vote against her so Alison wasn't the tie-breaker.

Dana Evicted 6 to 0

We saw Dana's taped messages from the HGs, including Ali saying she admires her, the other were more honest.  Jun was quite blunt and said, "No one wants you here anymore."   Then Julie told her she was on the jury, but no details on the sequester, and of course, no family or friends for Dana.  The HoH competition imageAs always, the last quarter was the HoH contest, called who said it.  Jack was the first out, and I heard him tell Erika he would throw the competition, but the reasons weren't clear.  The second question eliminated Jun, Jee and Erika.  In the final Justin became the new HoH.  Before leaving, Julie asked all the HGs what they missed from the outside world.image  Jack, Erika, and Justin said family.  Robert said his daughter, Ali misses Donny, Jun misses Bob, and Jee misses Carman.  The final word:  Next week America's Choice returns and the eviction voting will be live, so we'll find out the same time Julie does who leaves the BB house.

Nate, a marked man, plays solitaire.

By 10:05PM Their attentions turned to food.  The PB&J restriction ends tonight.  Robert tells Jee that he thought it would be one of them that wins HoH.

Ali watched in silence as Nate played solitaire.  You can see Nate's nervous.  Jun went back to her room and was sobbing.  I don't think anyone knows she's there to ask her what's wrong.

7:50PM The HGs were explaining to Ali that there's no family or friends to meet her.  They're piecing things together and know that they're all going to be in the  same house.  The wonder what vacation spot they're destined to go to.

8:10PM:  Jack and Nate talk about the nominations, they assume they're the ones. "No hard feelings?" Nate asks Jack, "No not at all, do whatever you have to.  I think one of us will go, but they want you out more than me."
Justin shows Jee his Old Maids Cards.
Everyone visits the HoH to to what Justin got.

8:35PM Justin Gets His Room:  His gift basket includes:  Coke, Heinekens, Lunchables, a deck of Old Maids, macadamia nuts, cookie dough ice-cream, his bronzed  wrestling shoes, a statuette of his mom's Airedale Terrier that won in dog shows, and a Dave Mathews Band CD.

The three stooges always maintain their egos in an instant inflate mode.  Robert's talking trash again and thinks that on the outside they're referred to as "the dream team."

9:00PM The Food Arrives:  They got Thai food.  Shrimp fried rice, basil chicken, steamed vegetables, wine, more.  Nate likes steak and American food,  this is just not his night.  Earlier tonight Jun had made cheese steaks subs.  Nate had never had one before.  Add that to a list of foods that includes egg plant, veal, humus and turnips.  Erika thought it was the best meal ever, but she's been on PB&J all week.

Tuesday, August 5, 2003:  They Voted Today
The HGs will vote secretly in the DR today.  This is not shown on the live feeds.

2:15AM:  Jun and Jee Meet in the Bathroom Area   Jun and Jee are talking about the game in hushed tones.  They're glad Dana's leaving and want Erika out next.  Their clandestine meeting is interrupted when Robert walks in.  He tells Jun that Dana and Justin are getting pretty hot and heavy and are considering just going a head and doing it under the covers.  Jun and Robert discuss that Justin doesn't like the way Dana plays the game, and yet at night they turn into lovers.  Robert thinks Dana is very masculine and not attractive.  Jun points out that Dana chews with her mouth open and it's not pretty (I'd listen to Jun, she's an expert on chewing).  The three of them   take their time going back to their room because they don't want to see Dana and Justin getting sexual.

When we return to Dana & Justin on camera three, it's no more heated than any other night.  Lots of grabbing and giggling under the covers.

9:05AM Wake-Up Call.  9:35AM They Wake Up   10:30AM DR Calls start for voting

In a brief HoH room scene with Nate and Ali, they select their targets for the next round.  Jack and Erika are mention.  For Ali, they have to be as she has deals with everyone else.  Nate agrees with her, but if he's sincere, he's crazy.  Jack and Erika are the only ones in the house that don't hate him.  Even Ali is tired of him.

2:30PM Nothing's Happened.  They've been playing cards and Quoridor, gossiping and trashing Dana.

The Broadcast:  Tuesday's show is always just a recap, and the PoV.  The first quarter establishes that Ali has made out with Davidimage, Nate and Justin, and that Jack and Erika would have preferred that she had nominated Justin instead of Jun. The second quarter had Justin doing impersonations of Jeeimage and miscellaneous clowning around.  Turning back to the game, we saw Dana trying to work her magic on Jack and Erika, and the resulting conversation that I wrote about on Friday, August 1.  Jun and Jee targeting either Nate and Erika, or Nate Jack for next week (if they get some power). The second half once again went back to the subject of Nathan's sexualityimage.  Robert and Erika were shown as a couple, planning their game play.  Next Robert tries to comfort Jee, who's upset over his father's death (see Saturday), and the ceremonyimage that followed. The PoV challengeimage  was shown. This is the contest that took so long for BB to set up and caused speculation and false rumors about Scott in the chat rooms.   Robert won the challenge.  As always, the last quarter showed the PoV meeting image, in which Robert did not use the veto.

Meanwhile, Back at the House:  Nothing continued to happen.

News:  Thanks to Bryan for sending this link to another interview from Seattle's Jackie and Bender morning show.  This is a good candid, interview with our favorite HG, David Lane.

9:30PM: Justin is helping Dana pack, and Jun's packing her things for their pending eviction on tomorrow's live show.   On the patio, Nate, Jack Ali, and Erika are practicing Quoridor.

Justin and Jee try to negotiate a trade in household chores with each other.  The conversation deteriorates into another funny chop fight with Justin doing his Jee impersonation.

Ali asks Jun why she's bothering to pack everything.  Ali better watch what she says.  I believe Dana's leaving, but it's going to be the first time in quite some time where the target actually got voted out and not the decoy.

Midnight:  It's been peaceful and dull in the BB house.  HGs are picking out clothes to wear on the live show and engaging in pleasant conversation.  Jun has tried to give the impression of being a good sport, but the fear of a surprise eviction lurks below the surface.  Justin, who was seen making smart remarks about Nate wearing make-up, got a manicure with clear polish.

Justin and Erika talk about how great it'll be when they're sequestered some place cool "like a club med place." I'm very anxious to see how they handle this on tomorrow's show  when Dana gets sent to a new BB house, all by herself.
