Justin Kicked Out... |
 |
Justin
and Krista |
I don't watch soaps. I don't watch
Jerry Springer, so what's my vice? I'm a fan of "Big
Brother."
The CBS reality show
follows the every move of twelve people living in a house
with 38 cameras, One of the cool things about this
show, is that you can watch them live on the
internet.
Justin has been kicked out of the
house by the Big Brother producers! Over the course of the
last few days, Justin had been exhibiting some violent
tenancies and last night, after getting drunk, he continued
to break the rules and held a knife to Krista's throat and
asked her if she'd be mad if he killed her. He wasn't
serious, but CBS certainly wasn't going to take any
chances. Justin left in the middle of the night after
a long discussion with the psychologist. |

Head of the House |
While
they didn't show it on TV, a Head of Household
challenge was held. The challenge was for Big Brother
to ask questions that were on each houseguest's
applications. There was a tie-breaker and Krista won
the challenge. Krista has already selected her two
nominees, we'll have to stay tuned to find out who they are.

No More Booze |
Big
Brother won it's time period--beating out both Friends
and Spy TV with 9.2 million viewers, however Big
Brother producer, Arnold Shapiro, said that he
is debating whether he should give the housemates any more
liquor. "We'll have to decide how much [alcohol] they
should have, or if they'll get any." The producer
said beer and wine had been provided to the house to allow
the housemates to have a drink or two with dinner or
afterward. "Maybe they chose to consume it in
different ways," he said. "They're going to run
out. They probably already have." |
Saturday,
July 14, 2001:
Food Challenge |
The
Houseguests competed in a food challenge today. The men won
the food challenge, while the girls lost. The girls
have to live on peanut butter and jelly and water for the
next week, while the guys pig out. The guys
cannot give any food to the girls or they will be given a
penalty nomination. The challenge was to guess how
much you weighed. Here's the results:

Texas Barbeque Challenge |
There
was a challenge for a Texas-style Barbeque. The teams
were the girls vs. the guys. The had to ride a
mechanical bull. The girls won the challenge and were
given a break from the peanut butter and jelly sandwich diet
they were sentenced to for losing the weight guessing
challenge. Kent isn't happy with Nicole for
nominating him and is seriously thinking about joining the
brat pack.
Hardy starting to slide:
Hardy has become the public's favorite house guest.
Live feed viewers have gone so far as to notice that Hardy
is one of the few houseguests to wash his hands after going
to the bathroom (even Doctor Will does not). But the
stress of living in the Big Brother house may be getting to
him. He recently started smoking Kent's
cigarettes. |
Monday,
July 16, 2001:
Party Plans and a Phone Call |
Krista
Win Phone In Vote: Krista won the phone in
contest that I call the "throw away $.99 vote) and got
a message from her brother. She chose Mike to have the
gourmet dinner with her. They had dinner including crawfish,
French fries, sushi, fried fish, and chocolate
cake. They also got wine.
Birthday Party Plans:
Mike and Krista will celebrate a birthday in the Big Brother
house. The other housemates have arranged for
cake with candles. There'll be some booze too,
Kent says he'd rather smoke a joint. |

Kent or Autumn: Who's Leaving? |
I've
been reading the updates on Reality
411 and, as of today, it looks like Autumn will be
out, but don't count on it. This group re-aligns
its self over and over again. This is not a likable
group of people. Even my alliances have changed since
the series started. I'm on Kent side now. The
ratings are down again, maybe they need more
knives. Meanwhile, calendarlive.com has a good story
on the backlash CBS is getting for charging for the live
internet feed, read
it here. |
Wednesday,
July 18, 2001:
Gossip |
Houseguests
regaled each other at poolside with tales of things they
wished they hadn't done. Will said he was banned from
Disney World for 10 years and had to complete 250 hours of
community service because, as a teen, he was caught helping
to push the actor portraying the character Goofy into a
pond. Kathy, the Big Brother shrink, was brought in to
tell Autumn that her family may not be there tomorrow if she
gets evicted. Autumn took it really hard. |

July 19, 2001:

second houseguest to be voted out of the Big Brother
house. Here's how they voted:

New Head of House:
The challenge for head-of-house was held, and the
ruler of the roost for the next week will be Hardy. |
Friday,
July 20, 2001:
Eviction Nominations |
Hardy is
head of the house this week and his duty is to nominate two
of the houseguests for eviction. Most of the
week, Bunky and Hardy have been at odds with each
other. Is Bunky would be on his hit list?
Nope! Will and Shannon are going to be nominated
tomorrow. Hardy told Krista he's going to have a chat
with Bunky about the nominations. He's going to tell
Bunky that he'll agree to not nominate him as long as Bunky
doesn't nominate him if he gets to be head of the house.
BTW: There was a great story on Will's dad in the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Read
it here. |
Saturday,
July 21, 2001:
Food Challenges & Dirty Deeds |
Food
Challenge: The guests
competed in a food challenge today. Each person
had to choose three foods they really want in the
house. Hardy wrote each food on a tennis
ball. Each ball were thrown to them, every ball that
was caught was a food that would add to their
groceries. The gang did pretty well in the challenge,
but were disappointed when they got their groceries and
discovered many important condiment items weren't included
with their food, such as: mayo, ketchup, salad dressing,
pasta sauce and mustard.
Dirty Deeds: Shannon
has already agreed to be the one to go, and has decided to
unleash a can of "whoop-ass" on the other
housemates. Her plan is to get the others to hate her
by doing petty and nasty things to the other guests.
Shannon decided to use Hardy's toothbrush as a toilet
cleaner. We heard her tell Mike what she was about to
do, go to the bathroom, get Hardy's brush and head for the
toilet - then feeds were cut. A few minutes later, Big
Brother made Shannon confess to Hardy. Shannon told Hardy
she "dropped" his toothbrush and it broke. |
Sunday,
July 22, 2001:
Luxury Challenges |
The
guests competed in a luxury challenge today, the prize,
professional laundry service for a week. The
winners were Bunky, Nicole, Shannon and Kent. |
Monday,
July 23, 2001:
Wills Dying of Leukemia & Shannon's a Killer |
Will
cooked up a lie to win sympathy and stay in the house.
He let the others overhear him talking to Shannon and
telling her he's dying of leukemia. It might have
worked, but a viewer had a plane fly a banner over the
house exposing the story as a scam. Meanwhile,
it's been revealed that in 1998 while driving at approx 85
mph, Shannon sideswiped a van , lost control of her vehicle
and went across the median into oncoming traffic. Her
Expedition head-on'ed a vehicle driven by Jack LaSalle, age
66, killing him instantly. She was found guilty and
responsible for LaSalle's death and fined $1000, $438 in
court costs, and ordered to attend driving school. Shannon
never apologized to Janice LaSalle (victim's widow) for
causing her husband's death.
America's Choice: The
results of that stupid phone-poll contest are in, the house
guests got a toaster oven. |

Birthday - Arrest Record - Big Brother 3 |
Future
News: Les
Moonves said it's unclear whether Big Brother will return in
2002. Moonves say "Big Brother" is an
experiment, "I'm tired of putting Diagnosis
Murder reruns on in the summer," he said. When
asked if he thought the show was 'good TV' , "It's an
experiment, and I think it's succeeding on that
level." CBS Entertainment president Nancy Tellem
said 14,000 fans have paid to watch streaming video from the
house, where the knife incident was seen on CBS' Web site.
Mike's Arrest Record: Michael
Carri, 31, was arrested by Burbank police in October
1996 after Warner Bros. security personnel detained him
outside the set where "Batman & Robin" was
being filmed. A search of Carri and two cohorts turned up
forged Warner's ID cards and several phony drivers'
licenses. Carri, who uses the surname Malin on "Big
Brother 2," was also found to be carrying a miniature
35mm camera in his sock, and his hat appeared to be wired
for use with a hidden video camera (though none was
recovered by cops). In addition, police found a stolen
Warner Bros. walkie-talkie in the group's getaway car, which
had its license plates removed. He was sentenced to
three years' probation. CBS says it was aware of
the arrest but didn't consider it a problem. Read
the complete story HERE. There's also an interview
with Mike's friends at the Belly Lounge HERE.
Birthday Girl: Krista
celebrated her actual birthday today and Big Brother
supplied her with beer. Lucky Mike got a big kiss on
the lips from Krista. |
Thursday,
July 26, 2001:
Head on House & Eviction Vote #3 |
Head
of House: The new head of
house is Kent, this will be good! Already,
the group has decided that Mike will be the next to
go, Kent's only decision is who to nominate against
him. Kent wasn't happy with the contents of his head on the
house bonuses, he got champagne, he wanted Coors
Light, he wanted salted peanuts, got un-salted mixed
nuts. They also included other "gourmet"
items he didn't care about. After bitching for a
couple hours, Big Brother, Joan, called him into the diary
room and told him they've heard his requests. He also
wants five cartons of Basic Lights cigarettes,
"if they won't pay for them, just call my wife, you can
use her credit card." As if we can't hear him
plotting, Kent wants to nominate his buddy Bunky, "it'd
make good TV, everyone would think we had a tiff."
Eviction Vote #3:
Shannon was the third houseguest to be voted out of the Big
Brother house. Here's how they voted:

Friday,
July 27, 2001:
Nominations are In |
Kent
nominated Krista and Mike. The game plan is that this
will remove Mike from the house. Mike knew that as
soon as he was nominated, and he was shocked. He
thought he'd be competing against Will, and he'd stand
a chance of winning that contest. |
Sunday,
July 29, 2001:
Ghost Hunts & Music |
Ghost
Hunt: It's a night
with the spirit world in the Big Brother house.
Big Brother provided the houseguests with candles, tarot
cards and a Ouija board. But even the Ouija board
could tell who was going to be voted out. Kent thinks
the vote is all sewn up up, maybe not. . Nicole
continues to play both sides, even suggesting to Kent that
they get rid of Krista instead of Mike.
A Little Music in their Lives: Big
Brother came up with what I think is a pretty cool challenge
and reward. Allow some music in the house.
Reality 411 has the full
details, read it here. |
Monday,
July 30, 2001:
America's Choice: Hardy |
Hardy
won a three minute phone call from home. He got to speak
with his Grandmother and brother. Nothing real exciting
because they were not allowed to discuss the game.. |
