Monday, August 30, 2004:  Seems Like a Long Way to Thursday
Feels like Adria's been on the block for months.  The PoV meeting is today, usually around noon.  Also remember to watch (or tape) "The Young & the Restless"  today to see Marvin's big debut as a soap star.  imageMarvin [2 minutes]  See also imageBB on E! [3 minutes]

9:15AM They're starting with those damn fish early today.  ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚

10:00AM Shocking!  Cowboy has a letter from home.  Where did it come from?  The three girls are mad because reading material is against BB rules.  The letter is on plain paper and April wrote on it that they couldn't afford a card.  The girls think that's the stupidest, most transparent thing they've ever heard [It is funny at that].  Karen says CBS rigged the America's Choice because there's no way anyone would want to see him win, "They just added a zero to the end of whatever votes he got to push him over the top."  They also consider the possibility that they're being portrayed as three evil bitches and Cowboy's being portrayed the poor guy.  [I always like it when they blame editing for what we watch live.]

10:15AM  The girls question Marvin about where Cowboy got the letter from.  BB asks Marvin to move his microphone higher.  Karen says, "Look, they're listening, but they're not calling him into the DR..."  Diane saw the letter when he was un-packing his suitcase last week.  The envelope was marked "do not open until sequester."

10:35AM  Karen tells Nakomis that she overheard Diane and Drew talking last night.  She couldn't hear all of it, but she did hear "..if we don't put up Marvin..."  Karen worries what kind of a deal Diane and Drew made with Marvin.

Karen and Adria have lunch together following the PoV ceremony.

11:40AM  ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚  12:05PM The PoV Ceremony is over.  The PoV was not used, and from what we hear, Karen cried.

More Shocking News!  Karen's talking about Lucy and Desi being TV pioneers for inventing "I Love Lucy," and Drew says he's never seen it!  He doesn't even know what decade it was, he asks if it was a '70's show!  He's never seen "The Honeymooners," either.

6:00PM Just letting you know I'm still on the job, they're just playing cards, eating cookies trashing Adria.  There's just nothing worth reporting.   Drew's teaching the gang how to play Euchre.  Diane tells Cowboy it's complicated, he might not be able to get it.

6:30PM Hey, something happened!  Big Brother gave them a new game, it's like an electric shock game. It kind of looks like a prop from "Lost in Space," like a crown.  It lights up, they grab it and it electrocutes them  [which sounds good to me].  Here's what the maker says: "Here's how Lightning Reaction Game works -- Anywhere from two to four people can play at once. You remove a handle from the base and get ready. When you press the button in the center, a red light pulses and suspenseful music plays. As soon as the red light turns green, you press the red trigger button as quickly as possible. If you're the slowest player, you will get rewarded with a painful electric shock. If you were faster than your opponents, you can simply laugh as the loser screams in pain. It sounds simple, but the suspense of waiting for the light to change is excruciating. You'll be tempted to press the trigger early... but don't! If you press it before the light changes, you get an electric shock and lose the game. "  The girls shriek and squeal, and within minutes the new toy is abandoned.

6:50PM Yet another LD, this one's outdoor.  BB has been doing LDs all day, inside, then outside.

9:30PM Strange things happen when Diane mixes her red wine with the white.   Listen to the clip and hear how lovey-dovey Diane is with Marvin.  She cries when she talks about the first time she saw her father hugging and kissing with his new girlfriend, and how dad's suicidal.  It makes her Diane [15 minutes]

Lightning Reaction Game
Test your reaction time and challenge your friends to prove their Lightning Reaction--if they dare! Each player grabs a trigger. Then, press the button to start the game. When the sound stops and the signal light goes from red to green, get ready to scream, because the last to press their trigger gets a shock! But be careful not to press too soon either, or zap! the result could be electrifying! For 2-4 players. (Not recommended for small children or persons with medical conditions.) Uses 3 "AAA" batteries, not included. 6.5"H x 4.5" diameter. Lightning Reaction Game $28.98
Midnight: Alcohol + Shock Toy = Torture Bets
If you loss this hand, you have to hold the shock handle to your nipples, testicals, calf, and other sensitive areas.  Nakomis complains that after shocking her pierced nipples they became painfully hard.  Other bets included jumping in the cold pool, in various states on undress (these challenges were never carried out).  imageMore like a slide show [6 minutes]

Diane and Nakomis, who are afraid that CBS is editing the show to make them look like bitches,  stole Adria's beer after they finished all of their own.  There are more challenges made involving drying off each other after a shower or hot tub session, and lesbian kisses.  imageSloshed [6 minutes]  They end up making quesadillas instead.

2:00AM Nakomis cuts her finger on the cheese grater.  Cowboy showers, Nakomis decides to skip hers,  While Diane takes a shower (she waited for Marvin to go to bed so he wouldn't be sitting there leering at her) Drew talks about his relationship with Diane to Karen and Nakomis.  They warn him that the house isn't reality and he may have other feelings when he gets out.

Drew is talking to Cowboy.  Diane is afraid that she'll get hurt when they're out of the house and Drew isn't interested in her any more.  He wants her to know he'll continue to feel this way after the show.  He tells Cowboy that he really likes her and she's really cute, but when she gets nasty it's unattractive. Cowboy gives him advice on how to talk to her, but Cowboy's still thinking about Marvin, who made disparaging remarks about Nakomis's body tonight.  Drew and Cowboy want Marvin out next week.

Sunday, August 29, 2004:  Cowboy Phone Home

Poll Results

Who Will win a Phone Call From Home?

Whoa!  I screwed up the poll.  Until Friday night, the votes were going to the wrong people and Karen's votes were not counting.  The problem was corrected. but the old votes didn't count.

Cowboy (1274 votes) 48.63%
Adria (488 votes) 18.63%
Karen
(279 votes) 10.65%
Marvin (247 votes) 9.43%
Drew
(177 votes) 6.76%
Nakomis (110 votes) 4.20%
Diane
(45 votes) 1.72%
(Total Votes: 2620 )

This is an unofficial opinion poll and has no bearing on the outcome

BB told Cowboy there would be an early AM event. The HGs think it's the results of an America's Choice contest where the winner gets to make a call home.  I think they're right, and I think our poll is right that Cowboy will be the winner.

8:10AM  ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚  by 8:25 the feeds were back and there were signs of life.

9:20AM Sounds like Animal Planet, Karen, Nakomis, Drew, and Diane are talking about pets, bugs, birds, turtles, and fish.  Drew talks about the two puppies they had at his frat house.  Puppies are chick magnets.  Adria's there too, not talking much.  There's nothing happening and they're considering going to the DR to see if anything's scheduled, but they know BB never tells them.  9:45AM Cowboy joins the group. 9:50AM  Marvin joins them.

10:00AM HGs are called to the living room to find out what the surprise is.  ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚ They got to see what the AC prize is, but not the winner.  They got to see themselves in the shows intro for the first time.

10:30AM Diane is doing laundry talking to Nakomis, they're plotting to evict Marvin next week  Diane said she guaranteed his safety for next week, but she didn't promise it.  [Poor Marvin, forgot to seal the deal with a pinky swear.]  Tricky Females [5 minutes]

11:00AM Diane tells Drew that Marvin's been trying to kiss her.  Drew says he heard that he already did kiss her  Drew's perturbed that Diane didn't tell him and that she's not telling him the whole truth now.  Drew says he'll call Marvin out on it if she wants.  She's called to the DR and Marvin comes in, and asks what Diane's problem is, they attribute it to her period.  Her DR was brief, and they go back to their talk.  It's a Matter of Trust [15 minutes]

Noon Cowboy tells Adria that when he gets married April will keep her last name.  They're doing it so that Chasen's name will be part of the relationship. Cowboy has to wait three years before he can adopt Chasen, then everyone's last name will be "Ellis."   "Ellis" is Cowboy's mother's maiden name, Cowboy never took his stepfather's name.

12:30PM Mysterious Object Lands  After an outdoor LD, the HGs come inside to find a T-Mobile phone display in the living room.  The instructions say not to touch it until it rings.

While we wait for it to ring, note that the coffee table and sofa are smaller.  The original table had round designs on the top.

1:00PM ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚   When the feeds return at 1:50PM, we find Karen and Nakomis talking on the patio about Adria's trying to influence Karen. Karen's going to tell Adria that she's defiantly not going to use the PoV.   Then the feeds switch back to Drew and Diane still going back-and-forth about trust.  Then the feeds switch Karen and Adria on the patio, Karen tells her she's not going to use the veto.  At 2:00PM, BB calls for another outdoor LD.

Confirmed!  Cowboy Won AC   Cowboy asks Adria that she not be upset that he won the phone call.  Adria assures him that no one minds that he won, and that everyone felt a little closer to home through his connection.  April's been watching on the internet, she tells him to "Step it up." and he's not sure what that means.  He also told him to quit streaking. The kids at Chasen's schools are making posters in his support.  April said that her dad said that if Michael didn't stop crying, he would put a boot up his butt.
After yet another outdoor LD, they came in to find the old coffee table back.

A Little Venom:  Karen and Nakomis are talking about Cowboy's phone call.  Karen says, "America doesn't know how insufferable it is being in the house with him 24 hours a day."  Nakomis adds, "It'll be like Chasen this and Chasen that 25 hours a day.  He's not even his kid."  They're so annoyed that Cowboy keeps asking if they're bothered that he won the phone call.  Diane enters, she just woke from a dream where Marvin was making advances towards her.  She tells the whole Marvin kiss story again.   They Sound Bothered [22 minutes]

8:15PM Adding Fool to the Fire  Adria gets Drew's ear in the cloud room.  Drew tells Adria he'd like to go to the end with her and Cowboy.  Drew thinks that the real plan is the three girls, Karen, Nakomis, and Diane to the end.  Drew thinks the m Marvin/Diane thing is weird, and he felt a weird vibe from Marvin all week, and now Drew can't stand to be around him.  Drew says he's met girls much more attractive than Diane,  both physically and personality wise, "But Diane thinks she is God's greatest gift ever."  Adria is smart enough to know not to go too low, and passes off Diane's problems as  insecurity and she used to be a bit like that too.

Adria says that if Diane wanted Will to stay so bad she should have come to Adria and requested she use the veto to take him off.   Drew does not believe Diane anymore. Drew doesn't think that a person that can be trusted has to keep asking him to trust her. He also thinks she's very insecure, but doesn't understand how she can be so cocky at the same time.  In short, Drew says he doesn't trust Diane and doesn't like how she's playing the game.  Adria has her own problems, and with no way out.  Please note that Drew and Diane's latest strategy is to tell everyone in the house what they want to hear, so maybe Drew just told Adria about Diane because that's what she wanted to hear.

9:20PM Cowboy and Drew in the Gym:  Drew: "Do you know who the strongest alliance in this house is?"  Cowboy: "Marvin and Diane."  Drew: "I'm on the same page with you dude."  They both want Marvin out and two of the girls.  Since the girls also want Marvin out next week, they consider throwing the HoH competition so that the girls will win and get Marvin out, then the following week, both Drew and Cowboy will be able to win HoH, and only two of the three girls would be available.  April told Cowboy (or so he says) that Diane looks like a bitch on TV.

9:45PM Meanwhile... On the patio, Diane and Nakomis are plotting to throw the HoH contest so that Karen wins.  Nakomis, however, will keep competing until Drew is out because she doesn't know what he'd do as HoH.  at 9:55PM Marvin and Karen join the group and the conversation returns to twin bashing  Karen: "I looked her right in the face and I shared intimate stories with her and she looks at me and doesn't even know if it was her or not?"  Marvin starts back up on his triplet theory (if you missed the first performance, it was at 10:00PM last night).  Another favorite topic is that Cowboy isn't as poor as he says.  During today's phone call from April, we learned that she bought six pairs of shoes.  Cowboy insists that if April bought six pairs it was from the bar gin bin at Wal-Mart and the six pair must have included flip-flops, sandals and other $5 selections.  So Marvin thinks April's dad, the oil man, is footing all their bills.  Karen can't believe that America [hey that's us!] is so gullible that they'd fall for Cowboy's sob story [hey, wait, that's us].  So for the next thirty minutes they bash Cowboy and Adria until Cowboy joins them.

11:15PM Adria tries to Work Karen Again  Adria puts in a pitch for Karen to use the PoV to save Cowboy.  Karen asks Adria why she doesn't campaign with the voters but she feels it's not even worth trying. They go over the same points I've heard so many times before, and just like before Karen starts crying that the twin twist freaked her out.  Karen reiterates, for the umpteenth time, that she doesn't want to second guess the judgment of the HoH.  Adria asks Karen what she thinks Marvin would do if she used the PoV, and later adds, "You're telling me that neither Drew, Nakomis or Diane would want to see you gone?"  Karen says "no," and Adria says, "Well then if you get rid of me, I can't help you." Karen sticks to her excuse of not challenging Marvin's selections, and basically tells Adria that her only hope is to change people's minds and get them to keep her, "You never know what these people are thinking."  Adria asks her how she's going to vote.  Karen says she hasn't decided, neither her or Cowboy have ever given her a reason to be voted out.  Adria asks that if she doesn't know how Karen will vote, then how will she know how to vote in the sequester house.

I think that was a little blatant, but Adria and Nat are two out of the four votes needed for someone to win.  It's a point she should have tried on the others.

And if you think that was boring, you should hear what's going on outside.  The high point was a discussion of, "What's the biggest lie you ever told to get a day off?"
Diane cried and told her boss her best friend died to get a day off from work.  Drew's there and chuckles nervously, as he sees just how skilled a liar she is.

Edukashun:  Diane regrets going to college, says it's a complete waste and she's sorry she went.  Nakomis regrets not going to college.  Cowboy graduated high school at 19 because he was held back.  Diane says that she had to take math for four years before she made it to a college level. Nakomis calls it "Algebra for people who didn't pay attention in high school."

Cowboy thinks would qualify for a full scholarship now.  He says that if he doesn't get a TV series or anything he's going to go back to school  so he'll have something to fall back on.  He wants a degree in producing/directing.  [Jed: "Jethro can't decide if he wants to be a double naught spy, fry cook or a brain surgeon."

12:45AM Bedtime.  Lots of clowning around. Cowboy admits he's a lesbian, cause he likes women.

Saturday, August 28, 2004:  Suppose No One Wants to Play in the PoV?
The PoV Challenge is scheduled for today, but even Adria is ready to skip it, she has no one to play for her.  As HoH, Marvin gets to pick a team mate first, he will select Drew.  Cowboy will select Nakomis to play for him, Adria will have either Diane or Karen to play for her, both have told her that if they win, they will not use the PoV.  The HG not selected to play will act as host.  Marvin predicts that the producers will have rigged the game so that Adria will win.  [I can't even imagine someone suggesting that this show isn't on the up-and-up.]

PoV contests can start at any time of the day depending on the type of challenge.  BB did not warn the HGs of an early wake-up, so I doubt anything will take place before noon BBT.

9:25AM Wake-Up Call.  BB Announces the PoV contest will start in 90 minutes.  9:45AM Second wake-up call for Drew and Cowboy.   Morning ADLs are in progress, not much talking going is going on.

10:20AM The HGs select players for the veto competition.  ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚

While we wait for something to happen, last night Marvin related a story about the first time he was HoH.  When he got his beers, BB told him not to drink them for a few minutes.  When he was alone in the HoH room, he asked BB if he could have a beer, and BB said "yes."  "Then you could hear on the other side of the wall, 'You want me to get a shot of him drinking the beer?'  I'll never forget that nerdy white guy,  'You want me to get a shot of him drinking the beer?'"  Well, it was funny the way Marvin told it...

10:35AM  HGs get jumpsuits with their names on the back.  "Karen says, "I look like I should be servicing a toll booth."  Nakomis replies, "I look like a convicted felon."  With a matching cap, sunglasses, and the jumpsuit open in the front, Marvin's trying to pull it off as "a look."  They think the contest has something to do with snow or ice, maybe a veto in a block of ice that they have to break through to get.  10:55AM  ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚

Noon   The camera gives us a look at the BY, we see blocks of ice with stuff embedded in it.  Looks like they haven't started chopping yet?  The contest is over and it appears that Karen has Won PoV  She says BB will let her keep the one she pulled out of the ice block  Diane tells Cowboy that she [Karen] won't use it.

2:00PM  Looks like everyone's taking a nap, so I will too.

2:30PM Adria starts to work Karen to use the PoV.  Karen says, "I try to respect who HoH puts up unless it's something I really don't agree with.  I've never been HoH, so I don't know what that's like."  If you listen to the clip, note that Adria not only asks Karen to save her, but she also asks that they not vote out Cowboy, and that someone else should be put on the block. Karen says she's not a "Hang your head down and go with the majority type person." [Ha!] Karen tells Adria (after 35 minutes of talk) that she'll tell her if she's going to use the PoV before the meeting so she won't be surprised.  She continues to say, 'If the house is so hell-bent on getting you out, if I use the it to save you, you know I'll be on the block with you next week."  Adria says she feels like Roddy from BB3. She saw Roddy as a nice guy that was looking for a deeper conversation in the house and was frustrated that he couldn't find one.   Adria and Karen [20 minutes]

When was your first time?  Drew was 17, it was on a trampoline in 1998, Diane was twenty, Cowboy was 16, but it was almost his 17th birthday.  Diane's been with six people in her life, Cowboy's had four different partners   Sex and the Single Cowboy [20 minutes]

4:30PM Karen goes to Marvin and tells him she's not using the PoV.  She tells him she didn't want him to hear that she's been talking to Adria and worry about her using the veto.  She said Adria was saying that she tries to be like Jesus.  I listened for an hour and never heard Jesus mentioned.  They did go to ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚  but it was during talk about various relatives that had been sick and death, and grief.

Marvin goes off on his rant about Adria being in a hotel livin' the life of Riley (who was that Riley dude?), but this time he veers off a bit into feelings.  He talks about the betrayal of switching places with her sister.  Marvin says that the one person in the house that he really felt a connection to was Adria, and then he found he wasn't really bonding with Adria, sometimes it was Natalie.  Karen says it's like sleeping with a guy and finding out he's been switching with his twin.

I'm writing this because I'm starting to understand why everyone suddenly stopped trusting Adria.  Up until the week she was nominated for eviction with Holly, everything was cool.  That was a tough week, and she connived a bit to stay in the game, but her team knew that she had to do that, and it was OK, because that's what you do in this game.  Being in that house, with relationships and emotions intensified over what occurs in the real world, it must have been very disturbing to them to find out that the person you thought you knew didn't exist, and was really a composite of two people.

5:05PM  Cowboy tells Drew he [Drew] has a good chance of making it to final three because Diane would take him, Marvin would take him and Cowboy would take him to the end.

7:00PM Cowboy and Marvin go to the BY to play frisbee golf, a game played with yogurt lids on the putting green. When Cowboy goes to get the lids, he finds that BB has taken them away.  They are very upset and want their improvised toys back.

10:00PM   Cowboy is Smart and Adria and Nat are from Triplets!  These are two things that Marvin is positive about.  Without a doubt, he'll guarantee you that Adria and Natalie have another identical sister that has been swapping in and out of the house.  Marvin brings up some interesting points to "prove" his theory.   They've all had conversations with one of the two girls that neither later remembers.  They've done things that neither girl could forget, and yet neither can remember.  One particular instance the Marvin points out is one night he traded six clean towels for their beer ration, and the next day neither remembered.  Diane brings up something that Adria said (I heard her say it too), and that is that she [Adria] can't wait to the wrap party to tell her what they really do.  Diane thinks they both have lots of money.  Marvin says they don't really design web sites because he asked them if they design in  Flash (a popular graphics software) and she acted like she never heard of it.

Marvin also believes that Cowboy is really smart and all this is just an act (Nakomis says she hopes so).  His theory on this subject is simple, "No one can be that dumb."  Marvin says when he asked Cowboy what he wants to take in college, he said "readin'." The wanting to go for either acting or premed has got to be a put-on, no one can be that dumb Marvin asserts.  Marvin and Diane's conclusions come to us tonight without the aid of beer [maybe that's why they're so far off.] Triplets and Smart Cowboys [14 minutes]

Early to Bed!  it's 11:30PM in the BB house and the kids are going to bed early [Hallelujah!]  BB has told his housemates that BB says there will be an early AM event. They think it might be a call from home AC contest, [Well aren't they the clever ones. ] I see Marvin's up again, in the gym on the treadmill, but I'm still going to bed myself.

Friday, August 27, 2004:  Adria and Cowboy are Nominated

"I love my Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, This Much"

There's no food challenge today.

Karen thinks Marvin's going to put up Cowboy. Diane says, "Hell, if he puts up Cowboy, he can put me up next to him, I wouldn't care-- He'd be out of here and good riddance."  Marvin said he wants to balance the genders again. He told Nakomis she's safe, and he's got a deal with Diane and Drew-- So who will it be?

11:00AM Finally A Wake-Up Call   Then fish!

At 11:50AM they were still eating their Frosted Flakes. Diane was talking about how much she drank last night, and how she'll never drink that much again.
Lots of ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚ at 12:15PM BB announces a two hour outdoor LD.  The HGs think that BB is converting the cement room into a gym.

2:00PM Worth the Wait  The HGs think it was worth having the to wait outside two hours for their new gym.

Diane talks Marvin into putting up Cowboy and Adria.  Marvin doesn't  want to nominate Cowboy, but Diane said unless he was on the block,  Adria could pick him and he could win veto and save her.  As HoH, Marvin gets to pick a player in the PoV contest first and he'll select Drew, leaving Adria with no one to select.  If for some reason the PoV is used, Marvin will put up Karen, whom he doesn't like because she's a butt kisser.  When Diane tells Karen,  she says that Marvin will put Diane up if one comes down.

When Diane tells Drew the plan, she says they have to keep Marvin in the game one more week, next week, because she promised to protect him.  But, in-fact, last night she promised to protect him to the end, not just one more week.  Here's the New Deal [10 minutes]

2:30PM After two hours of outdoor LD?, the HGs are allowed inside.   Cowboy decides to have lunch and then take a nap.  More riveting excitement.

5:15PM After a long outdoor LD, the HGs come back for the start of the nomination ceremony.   ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚  The feeds returned at 5:40 and we confirmed that Cowboy and Adria were nominated.  Marvin and Cowboy are in the HoH and Marv's explaining the plan. Adria is the target,  He tells him that if Adria wins PoV, Karen's up, and will be out. Marvin counts Drew as a vote against Karen, might not be a vote he should count on.  Cowboy's taking it pretty good again.  Adria goes out to the hammock, she is alone reading the Bible, the others are in the gym.

6:00PM Cowboy talk with Adria.  She realizes if she doesn't get voted out this week, she'll be put up again next week. The whole house wants her out. Saying she is proud of how she handled HoH. Cowboy says he wants to be friends with her and Natalie after they get out of the house.  She hopes they stay in touch too.  Cowboy wants to do a children's charity event with some of the HGs after the show.

9:30PM   Nothing left to plot, nothing left to say.  Adria asks Karen if she'd play for her in the PoV contest.  Karen: "I don't know that you'd want me, I haven't been on a winning streak."  Adria: "If you won it would you use it?"  Karen hedges, then says, "I'd be afraid to."  Adria says  that's how everyone  feels.  Karen says she thought Marvin would have put her up this week, Adria says that she knew what the plan is, and that she'd be up. Nobody to play [2 minutes]   10:38PM  Adria asks Drew to play for her in the PoV contest. He didn't give her a straight answer, but pretty much he said no.  Drew will play for Marvin and not use the PoV, at least that's the plan.  Beer's Here

11:30PM It's poker time again.  Tonight's topic of discussion is how unfair it was that the twins got to stay in a hotel, with a book, while he was here in the BB house with a camera on him while he went to the bathroom, and a light in his eyes when he tried to sleep.  It's one of Marvin's favorite rants, I've heard it many, many times before.

Meanwhile, inside, Karen's having another sob-fest. Karen is crying that they couldn't really get to know both her and Natalie that well. Karen says she's never really had friends. She spends twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week with the same person (Larry). She finally finds someone to connect with, Adria, and then all of a sudden there is two people instead of one...  Karen's still crying and asks Adria, "Why couldn't you tell me, once you got to know me?"  Adria replies, "That I was a twin? There were so many times we were close to saying things--   I wanted to tell you.  But then it wouldn't be fair to Natalie and then she wouldn't be able to come in the house. You guys made it though the finals and got in. That's not how we got in. We had to go five weeks before we got to go in the house."  Adria says she's sorry if the twin twist upset her.  Adria thinks Karen should talk to the DR shrink about it.

Marvin Says: "This place would be better if they'd have some hookers come in and fellate you every so often."

Diane says she kissed another girl on a Girls Gone Wild Video.

2:15AM The Party Winds Down.  By 2:40 everyone's in bed and Drew and Diane are annoying me with their usual chatter and kissing.

Thursday, August 26, 2004:  Natalie Evicted - Marvin's HoH

The girls think tonight's HoH challenge was rigged to favor Marvin and Drew, two experienced golfers. [If they care so much they should have practiced like Marvin and Drew did last night.  As outgoing HoH, Nakomis can't compete, Karen didn't practice much, and I think she still isn't going to try to win HoH  Diane didn't practice, I suppose she's depending on Drew.]  What will happen on another exciting live broadcast of Big Brother?

10:30AM Wake-Up Call   It must be a musical day, 'cause we got fish.  From 11:45 to Noon, Karen Diane and Marvin are trying to stump each other on "Sopranos" trivia.  Karen says she's the ultimate expert because she lived in Jersey where it's filmed (town called Lodi), but Marvin holds his own against the chick from Jersey.  As Diane announces that she ready to go back to bed, we get fish.   On feed three we see them napping again.  Drew asks Diane if she'll cut his hair today, and she asks if Adria shouldn't be cutting his hair.

At 12:50PM Cowboy is sitting on the nominees couch mumbling.  At first I thought he was praying, but he was rehearsing his final words that Julie  will allow him to say before she reads the votes.  "I'd like to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to play this game called Big Brother.  When I came into this house I hoped I might make a friend, maybe two.  I had no idea that thirteen people....".  I couldn't hear the rest, he mumbled and Karen was vacuuming.

Tonight's Broadcast:
After the week's review, Julie greets Nakomis in the HoH room.  "How hard was it to put up Cowboy?"  She says it was hard because he’s her brother, but he was all right with it, and she was told he’d be safe.  Next, Julie asks her, "You went back on a promise to Michael.  How is this different from the promise Adria broke?"   She felt it would be riskier to put up Drew if Cowboy was evicted it would  be a sign she'll be leaving soon also,  Julie says "Thank you, and Nakomis replies “Cool Beans!”

Marvin Wins America's Choice.  "For something good like that to happen after all this bad stuff has been happening to me here, that was shocking and amazing. It was an emotional moment. I think that's the first time I've cried in about ten years. I have never cried tears of joy before in my life. That was the first time ever."  Julie tells them that the vote's for America's Choice were very close. Marvin received 25.7% of the votes. Drew received 24.3%. "That's a little more than a 1% difference." Julie tells the guests.  Marvin has a chance to comment and says, "I want to thank the 'Young & the Restless'  staff, Michael, Melody Thomas Scott and Michelle, who I did my scene with and Christian LeBlanc. They were great. It felt great to do it. Oh, man. I'm such a huge fan of 'The Young & the Restless,'  Being on 'Big Brother' isn't like being on TV. It's like living with the 12 crazy people. Being around TV stars, I don't know how to act."   imageThe Young & the Marvin [6 minutes]

Next up, was our first sight of the sequester house.  Will sees the house for the first time and likes what he sees.  "For almost two months I've seen these same house, the same people and the same yard. This beats the 'Big Brother'  backyard tenfold. Seeing sheer beauty was just absolutely overwhelming."  Will sees the cold hearth and says, "Wow. Cold, dirty, dark, hard, yeah, this is the perfect place for Adria to sleep.   I think we can fit Natalie over there in the corner."  Will says that even though he's in a great location, at the end of the day he'd rather be back in the BB house fighting for that prize.  imageSequester House [3 minutes]

Julie: "Tonight's live eviction is minutes away. Let's head back to the living room and talk with the two nominees."

Cowboy gets to speak first and says, "First off, I do want to thank God and my wonderful fiancée, April, and our son Chase and her mom and dad Rick and Judy because of the... they're the reason why I'm here playing this wonderful game we call 'Big Brother,' Natalie, you are a friend, a sister, you've been wonderful to me in this game, and it is hard being on the block against you. Like we always say, this is not good-bye, this is I'll see you later. I love you. My life motto is: If you want something more in life, don't let anything get in the way of your dreams. We all had a dream to be on this show. The first day I didn't think I would ever gain one friend and I gained 13. I thank you all for that great opportunity. You all have given to me to get to know each one of you all. Thank you all.

Natalie speaks next and says, "Well, I have to agree with Michael that I couldn't be sitting on the block next to a better person. We definitely have a friendship that will last forever. We know that. That's what makes this week so tough, but as you asked me a couple weeks ago, Julie, how did I feel coming into the house as Natalie and getting to blame the game as that, hope tonight I have the chance to have this opportunity to play the game as Natalie. I wouldn't be here without the support of my loving husband Breck who has given me so much. I want to wish April a happy birthday coming up this weekend as well and to Adria and her husband on their sixth year anniversary that's coming up this weekend. I have made so many friendships in this house and so many commitments, I hope that tonight people look at me as an asset and see me as something they could use further in the game.

Eviction Vote Number 7

Natalie
Adria

Cowboy
Marvin

Diane

Drew
Voted For:
Natalie
Natalie was evicted by a vote of 4-1.
*The HoH only votes in the event of a tie.

Karen is the first up to cast her vote she votes to evict Natalie, Marvin enters next and also votes to evict Natalie.  Adria's called in and votes to evict Cowboy.  Diane and Drew follow and vote Natalie.

Julie makes it official, reading the vote, Natalie doesn’t look very surprised.  As she makes her way to the door she has a hug for everyone, including Nakomis. The last hug is reserved for Adria, who is crying. imageThe Eviction of Natalie [6 minutes]

When Julie interviews Natalie she asks if her housemates ever saw her and Adria  as individuals?  Natalie says, "Definitely after this week speaking with the houseguests and having a lot of heart to hearts and stuff, this has been one of the toughest weeks because I've only wanted the respect of any decision to be made as Natalie, and it's been something I think in their psychological standpoint they could not overcome at this point. I know a lot of people are still going to deal with it. I hope by me being gone today I give Adria 100% chance of having a real chance at this game. "

Julie: "Nakomis said she nominated you and Adria because of the pinky swear.  Was that fair?"

Natalie: "I don't think Nakomis was fair in her nominations. All I asked Nakomis, and I spoke with her one on one,  and asked her to give me the respect as an individual player and give me a reason. She gave me reasons related to Adria and things that may have been something different. Will was not a part of my pinky swear or I was not even HoH.  I was a voter in the game. I hoped that I wish her the best of luck in this game. If it's a strategic move, then that's the answer I was looking for, not so much of vengeance. I do pray for her."

Julie: "Drew and Diane voted to evict you. They were part of the twin's alliance. How does that make you feel? "

Natalie:  "I think it's a game of chance. You have to have trust in people. You just just trust maybe someone can relate to you as much on a level and stick to that."

America's Choice: Who would you like to see win a T-Mobile phone call from home?

The last quarter of the show is the HoH contest:  Julie explains the game: "Here's how it works. You have been divided into two groups of three. Each group will step up to the green. The first person to sink a putt and whose ball drops all the way to the bottom of the tube wins the round. The winner of each group will face off in a final round. Those two will be given 60 seconds to putt. Whoever gets the most balls in the hole will become the new head of household."

Group One steps up. Cowboy knocks his in first, on the first ball.  Group Two steps up–and Marvin wins it!

It’s Cowboy v. Marvin. Whoever gets the most balls in their hole will be HoH.  After 15 seconds no one has scored,  then Marvin gets one at :28 seconds, and in 32 seconds sinks four balls.  imageMarvin's Week [5 minutes]

Meanwhile, back at the house..  Marvin is hoping that BB gives him a CD from his own collection.  Marvin tells Nakomis she played the game straight out and she's safe this week.

8:15PM  Cowboy and Drew are in the backyard trying to figure out who Marvin will put up.  Drew tells him that sometimes Diane really annoys him.  [Hmm an odd thing to say when you're talking nominations.]  They talk about how tight the Karen/Nakomis/Diane alliance is.  They the it would be good if Marvin broke them up.  Cowboy suggests that Drew mention that to Marvin, Drew answers, "No, I don't want to piss Marvin off when he's thinking about nominations."

A Curious Discovery  As Drew and Cowboy are about to go back inside, they discover a set of handmade cards with the names of the HGs on them, they were in a drawer on the patio chest of drawers.  They recognized them as made by Nakomis.  There are numbers, like "Jase -2"  Drew thinks the cards are some kind of a rating system, maybe a hit list.  Drew doesn't want to ask them about it.

10:00PM Marvin gets his room a letter from his home dated August 6, the Prince 1999 CD. Peanuts, Red Bull, PowerAid, and Sociable Crackers.  Marvin's Room [17 minutes]

10:45PM Adria's really depressed.  Karen's with her, telling her how she understands how she feels and just being her usual sappy sweet self.

The HGs got beer and wine, and another Duraflame log for the outdoor fire pit.  At 11:30PM Drew, Diane and Nakomis are sitting outside by the fire, drinking, and Drew confronts them about the cards he found in the drawer.  It turns out that they were for the Big Brother game Nakomis was going to make before BB gave them playing cards.

11:45PM Savage JR., the dragonfly, was cremated in a ceremony on the patio.  Everyone but Adria was present.

Marvin asks for a deal with Diane. Sure he's had a few beers, but here's the deal, "Me you and Drew to the end."  He tells her she's safe this week, if she'll promise that he's safe next week.  She agrees and swears that she'll not only protect him this week, but she'll protect him to the end.

Diane tells that her father would put cats in a sack and throw them off a bridge.  She says he buried them in the ground with their heads sticking up and ran the lawn mower over them, then she pauses and says it might have been his brother, she's not sure it was her dad.

1:30AM  The night continues with more drinking.  The go inside to make quesadillas with guacamole and pico de gallo. Diane is chopping ingredients with a knife and Marvin and Nakomis give her a lesson in how the chop without loosing any flesh.  A timely lesson since she's drunk.  Dinner is followed by some card tricks by Marvin, and Drew wrestling with Nakomis.

2:45AM Bedtime:  As Drew and Diane are doing the teeth brushing, getting ready for bed stuff, Karen tells Diane, "Your hot little boyfriend is drunk.  I think you should take advantage of him."  Diane says, "Oh no no no, we gotta keep it PG-13 for the kids."

Diane and Nakomis have a pillow fight [Guys, I know it sounds hot, but trust me, it wasn't.]  Diane gets in bed with Drew and claims her bit her tongue. She gets up again and steps on something left of the floor. While she's out of the room,  Drew, who's visibly annoyed at her behavior, Ask, "Maybe I should pass out before she comes back.  I wouldn't even want her if I was sober."  Karen invites him to snuggle up on her side of the room.

By 3:00AM things are pretty quiet.

Wednesday, August 25, 2004:  HGs to Cast Votes Live Again
There is no voting today, it will be done live on tomorrow's show. It also looks like everyone will be true to their word and vote out Natalie.

9:05AM The HGs may have been wakened with music, we had fish.  Karen and Nakomis are talking about the twins and how they take turns working Drew.  It also bothers Karen that the BB rule book forbids two players from making any deals that involve splitting the money.  She thinks you'd have to be bonkers not to think that Adria and Natalie don't have deal to split the money.

10:30AM Diane joins the conversation and is upset that she walked in on Adria  with her arm around Drew looking at the family picture she got when she was HoH.  Then, Diane says, Adria started to rub Drew's back.  Nakomis asks if that means that she can't give him a back rub. Diane explains that her, or Karen can massage him, but not people she doesn't like.    WARNING:  It's going to get worse!  Diane is PMSing! For God's sake get them people out of the house!

11:00AM Yesterday, Marvin determined the water volleyball set they got from amazon.com was junk.  Every year they find several sponsors to dis.  One of my favorites was when Robert won the T-Mobile phone call from his daughter and he had to take the call in the yard because the reception was so bad.  But I digress--  They decide to set up the volleyball set on land.  The set it up using the tables to give the net some height.  Diane sends the ball flying over the backyard wall.  Shortly after someone throws the ball back to the grateful HGs.   ˚°◦ FotH ◦°˚  When the feeds return from a brief fish break they're no longer playing.  Oops there goes Diane's mouth again, "If I paid for shipping and handling on that thing I'd be pissed."

12:15PM Marvin rehearses Cowboy for his big audition that he'll snag when he gets out of the BB house.  They're doing a scene from "A Few Good Men," where Col. Jessep shouts, "You can't handle the truth."  Cowboy has trouble remembering and delivering the line.  Cowboy says he can do better with romantic material. Cowboy Rehearsal [6 minutes]

Earlier it sounded like they were going vote live again on Thursday, but I couldn't confirm.  Karen confirmed it, it bothers her that the twins have an extra day to campaign, she admits when she's on the block it won't bother her as much.

Around 2:00PM I saw Natalie packing, she's not doing a thorough job because her stuff is all mixed together with Adria's things. Natalie thinks the other HGs are avoiding her.  I haven't seen Cowboy pack, Marvin's been teasing him that he's been duped and is really the target for eviction.  Surprisingly, Cowboy doesn't seem too freaked.

Marvin and Karen have been complaining to BB that they want flour for cooking and baking.  Week after week their request is denied.  Today they got flour, so Karen made more cookies.    Now she wants brown sugar.

7:45PM  An indoor LD ends and the HGs go outside to find three golf practice greens.  Nakomis reads from the directions BB provided and tells the HGs that they can practice on them for tomorrow's HoH contest.  "The goal is accuracy, not strength."  Earlier today they asked all the HGs if they were right or left handed.  BB provided them with a left-handed putter.  The only HG that's left-handed is Nakomis, who isn't eligible to try for HoH tomorrow.  She tells Marvin that it must be so that she's not just standing around tonight with her thumbs up her ass, Marvin has that look on his face like another twist is coming.

Marvin and Drew appear to be the most skilled players so far.

Tonight's trivia theme is MTV and 80's music videos.  Every night they manage to come up with some piece of misinformation that all the HGs accept as fact.  Tonight's mangled detail is the name of the group that sang "Money for Nothing."  No one can remember who performed it, then Nakomis clears everything up, it was Men at Work.  The only problem is, it was really Dire Straits

A Short Story About Savage Jr.:
When I watch the feeds I have to decide if some tiny event will become integral to the plot at some point in the future.  I decided the appearance of a dragonfly in the BB house wasn't important. Oh, sure, it was fun throwing it on Diane to make her scream, but outside of that, what can you do with a dragonfly.

The HGs adopted the insect as a pet.  They named it "Savage Jr." They played with it, Cowboy even took it to bed with him when he took a nap, and as you would expect it died. [I personally think Savage Jr. committed suicide rather than live in the BB house.]

Savage Jr. lies in state on the BB coffee table.

After spending some time in suspended animation in the freezer, the boys decide it's time to give their fallen comrade a proper funeral, luckily Marvin's a mortician.  They made a coffin for it, and they've been called into the DR to talk about it several times.

They intended to cremate Savage Jr., BB often has rules about such things, so we'll have to see what happens.

Dragonflies, and spiders. Every year in the BB house the HGs enjoy watching the large spiders in the backyard.  They found that they can stun a fly or other bug and throw it into the web. The spiders dart for the helpless insect, wrap it up in silk and consume it.

This year they threw another spider into the web to watch the two duke it out.  Tony Soprano, the large spider, is the favorite.  Karen, "This is sick, it's like cockfighting." Nakomis: "I know, and I'm a member of PETA."

Midnight, Lights Out:  BB is trying to get the kids to go to sleep early on Wednesday nights so they turn the main lights off at midnight.  Natalie and Adria are in the hammock discussing various possible scenarios and the HGs.  They nail Karen for being insincere and trash Nakomis for being such a high and mighty HoH.  The feeds switch to the HoH room where Karen and Nakomis are discussing various possible scenarios and the twins.  They trash them for acting so high and mighty.   Two Teams [30 minutes]

Tuesday, August 24, 2004: A Trivial Day in BB History
There's nothing scheduled for today in the BB house.  Tonight on Big Brother, you'll see the amazing Morph-o-Matic PoV challenge.

8:50AM Wake-Up Call.  Marvin's up, and Nakomis and the twins are next.

Cheer Up Losers!   Marvin just reminded me when Nakomis said he's a big soap star now, and he replied, "Shoot, we're already on TV three times a week."  The soap appearance may be gold for an actor's clip reel, and more respectable than one of those nasty reality shows, but the reality is, that "Big Brother" gets a  6.0  ratings share, which breaks down to about, 9.5 million viewers.  "The Young & the Restless" only gets a  4.2 share, being seen by  5.3 million viewers.  Kind of a shabby prize...

5:30PM  It has been such a boring day that BB has given the HGs rainbow bubbles to play with.  Diane's reaction, "The treat us like ten year olds."  Along with the bubbles were the instructions they are only to be played with outside.  This is a problem in that they're in indoor LD.   Cowboy starts his second nap.

Tonight's Broadcast:
The Pinky Swear:  They showed the footage I disputed and I stand corrected, there was a pinky swear made by Adria!  Adria goes to the cloud room and asks Diane and Drew to play in the PoV challenge.  Drew told her everything's cool, but you can take him at his word, the DR scene that followed showed him saying they he hadn't really decided.  imagePinky Swear [2 minutes]

The luxury competition with the amazon.com shopping spree prize started the second quarter.   They won 14 items.  Cowboy came in third place, Adria second, and the winner of the $1000 bonus prize was Diane. Everyone had a good time, Marvin joked [I think it was a joke.], "I kinda liked everybody for a little while an' stuff and I hate these people." They got to shop online in the HoH room.  imageBrought to You by amazon.com [9 minutes]

After the challenge Adria's still working on Diane, who can't make up their mind.  Then the HGs  got their delivery from amazon.com.  They grilled the lucky cat figurine Holly left for Jase.  Marvin says, "It didn't do Holly any good, and it sure as hell didn't do Jase any good."

Cowboy tells Drew that they're safer on the twin's side.  Drew asks what if they win PoV, who goes up when one comes down?  Cowboy thinks it would be Marvin. Next week, if one of them are on the block with a twin, the other HGs would vote a twin out over them.

Next, the mighty Morph-o-Matic PoV Challenge!   The Morph-o-Matic mixed the photos of three HGs into one.  The contestant had to identify the three HGs used to make the composite.  When they were correct, the picture would change, and they'd go on to the next one.  They had to unscramble six photos, the contestant with the shortest time wins.  Scores were:  Cowboy: 14, Marvin: 11, Natalie: 6, Drew: 7, Adria: 4,  Nakomis: 7 minutes, Adria won, and Karen, as host of the competition, gave her a big hug.  imageMorph-o-Matic [10 minutes]

The twins agonize over which one should go, and Karen, Diane and Nakomis  agonize over who to put up.

The last quarter was the veto meeting.  Adria used the PoV to save herself, you could see there was some doubt in Natalie's mind that Adria might use it on her, reading her expression, she was pleased with Adria's decision.  imagePoV Meeting [6 minutes]

7:00PM  Meanwhile, Back at the House.... It's fish time again! The fish swam until 7:30PM, and when we came back Diane was overheard to say, well that really makes me want to see a movie.  They talk about the gym, and we can tell they just saw "The Young & the Restless."   Marvin says he was interviewed by Soap Opera Digest and tried to get them to tell him what he's missed on his stories.

8:30PM Karen Plans to Talk to Twins!  The way Karen described her intentions to Nakomis I thought there was going to be something really big, but she just wants to tell them that the reason she's voting Natalie out is because they're too strong as a couple.

Diane joins the conversation and Karen and Nakomis quiz Diane on Drew, "How's he going to vote?"  Diane says he'll vote the same as Diane, and Diane double checks that they're still voting out Natalie because, "Cowboy really needs to go."  Karen says that if Drew votes to evict Cowboy, then that strengthens Adria's bond with Drew.  It's important that Drew votes out Natalie to send a message to Adria.  They're worried about Marvin, he won't tell them how he's voting.

Diane repeats all the details of last night's conversation with Drew. "He knows he hurt me once with Marvin and Will, he knows not to do it again."  She continues with telling Nakomis that if either of them get nominated, they'll teach the house how to behave when you're on the block, meaning not being depressed, angry, campaigning, etc..

In case you don't read our message boards, the topic of discussion is this message posted on the twins official web site. Read it Here. Adria's brother-in-law, who's gay, defends the twins on all counts.

9:08PM  BBT (Had to list the time as 9:08, because Nakomis announces it at the end of the clip) .  Marvin's prepared lobsters for dinner.  When there's food on the table they all gather around the table and get along like a family.  After dinner they all meet outside and talk trivia.  Diane's been obsessed about remembering the names of the characters in the movie "The Neverending Story."  The other night she remembered the name of the horse was "Artex." Tonight she's going crazy trying to remember the name of the Childlike Empress (her name is shouted during a storm).   The conversation spread to the production crew and DR staff.  Diane told them she'd pay for the rental if they'd watch it and find out.   Ralph, a DR interviewer that the girls  thinks has sexy voice, told them he them how old he is if they can remember the turtle's name in "Neverending Story."  They couldn't get it and moved of to SNL trivia.  The spent about a half hour trying to remember Phil Hartman's name [I kept yelling it at my screen, didn't do any good..]

Diane's trying to impress her housemates with some movie trivia tid-bits, like she tells them the women in the diner in "When Harry Met Sally" that has the line, "I'll have what she's having." is Billy Crystal's mother.  The only problem is she's wrong, it's Rob Reiner's mother, Estelle, Mrs. Carl Reiner.

Midnight  Movie trivia on the patio continues
