Monday, August 25, 2003:  Can't We All Take Monday Off?
1:00AM  Jun has been crying for the last hour, another bout of hormone driven homesickness.  The picture she got of Bob Saturday was one she provided to the producers, it wasn't  new.   The girls agree that Jun needs to win HoH so she can get some stuff from home.  Or....  Maybe she wants the others to let her win HoH, and then  get rid of Ali.  Are the tears fake?  I've been accused of giving the players too much credit so we'll just wait and see.

Eight Hours Later:  Jun, Jack, and Robert are up,  BB is letting the others sleep late.  There has been no wake-up call today.  Jack's sitting on the patio in his blue shirt and khaki pants looking like the corpse from "Weekend at Bernie's."  At 11:00AM Robert tries to wake his sleepy teammate.

Jack's Creepy Behavior: I received an email that may have a valid point (yeah, that's right, just one).  Brett says "Your BB4 update says 'Jun and Ali continue to find Jack's behavior creepy. Jun say's he asked if she washes her panties.' and a couple of other things like that.

Are you aware that the girls (Ali and Jun) said they were going to say stuff like that purposely? It's all a part of their game plan? They specifically said that they were going to say Jack was making sexual comments!"

I don't understand why Jun and Ali say these things to each other.  I could understand if they were saying these things to the guys.  The reason I believe what Brett says is that I've never heard Jack say these things.

Noon Outdoor LD. Robert suspects they're putting Amanda's picture back on the memory wall.   At 12:35PM LD is over, picture isn't back.  Chrissy wrote to tell me that one of the stools are missing from the bath area. Several people point out that there are seven dining area chairs and only six HGs.  BB hasn't been taking the chairs away one at a time, so I don't think it's a clue.  (OK, I get it, you're saying there were eight).

3:20PM Another LD Ali knows that things disappear during the LDs.  She told Erika not to tell the boys, "They know about some of the things."  Ali saw that the yellow bowl with the marbles are gone.   The LD is brief, the cameraman  hints to us viewers that the missing item is near the kitchen  island.  Robert and Ali check out the house.

Jee: "Ali may be in an alliance because that's the only way either of them can win"

5:00PM Dream Team Doesn't Trust Ali.    Jee and Robert talk about not being able to trust Ali.  Robert tells Jee to ask Jun to vote out Erika as a personal favor.  Robert says he'll  win HoH and put Jun and Ali on the block.  Robert wants to get out Ali because he doesn't trust her. Jee tells Robert that he believes Jun will vote to evict Erika.

Robert to Ali:  "So we're cool for tomorrow for the votes, you're still voting Erika, and we'll get out Jack next week."

Robert's so pleased that he snowed Jun.  When Jun noticed the stool missing, Robert told her that they complained that it was broken and that BB took it to repair it, "An' she totally bought it.  She doesn't have a clue that things are missing."

Jun has more than a clue,  she has a pretty complete list of items that she and Ali have memorized for whatever competition this info could be used for.  Next Robert tells Jee not to worry, he talked to Ali and she's voting out Erika.  Ha!

Ali feels that Julie has been unfair to her in the past when she referred to Nate as her "bedmate." Ali imagines what Julie will ask her in two weeks, "So Ali, who are you going to sleep with now that you voted all the men out,  you whore?"

10:45PM The Girls Are Nuts  Jee checks with Jun to see how she's voting, she asks how Robert's voting.  Robert tells her they're voting out Erika, don't tell her, she won't be able to take it.  Jun tells Jee that she's voting with the house,  and then she leaves.    "Don't even talk to Jun, that girl is fuckin' nuts.  She thinks she'll form an alliance with Ali..." Jee tells Robert.  "If Jun and Ali form an alliance with Jack we're screwed."  Later Jun tells Jee that Erika thinks she's staying because they've been nice to her all weeks.  Robert and Jee check with Ali (again) to make sure again that everyone's on track.  Ali says, "Oh yeah, I think it's better if it's unanimous."  Jun tells Jee in private, she wants to keep Erika, because "Erika doesn't want Robert to even smell that money."  Jee asks, "If you win HoH next week who are you putting up.....   Just tell me real fast."  Jun answers, "You and Robert, and Robert goes. "  Jun tells Jee Jack is going, and "Don't you fuckin' tell Robert.  I'm going to make it happen."  Jee:  "How are you going to make it happen?" Jun: "I am, with Ali, don't you fuckin' worry."

It looks like the Jun-Jee alliance is alive and well, because Jee didn't tell Robert.  Jee tells Robert she'll vote with the house.  Robert's cool with that, but Jee warns him, "Yeah, but you never know, nothings a hundred percent."   Later in the HoH room, Jee gave what I think was a stellar performance with Rob, making it look like Jun and Ali's coming after them.  I never heard Jee tell Rob, but he says, "If Erika stays I'm fucked.  The fuckin' snakes."

So, let me try to review:  It looks like Ali is sincere with her goal of an all girl final three.  Robert thinks Jee has his back, but Jee's with Jun on getting Rob out next week.  Jee will need to pretend to be surprised when Jack's evicted, in reality, everyone in the house except Jack and Rob knows Erika's staying.   Erika has told the girls that Rob comes from money, he doesn't need the prize, she on board with screwing him.  After Jun uses Ali to get rid of Jack and Robert, she might turn on Ali to make the final three Jun, Jee, and Erika.  And as much as it pains me to admit it, Jack's not faking it, he really isn't very sharp.

Sunday, August 24, 2003:  PoV Not Used (Well Duh...)
9:30AM BBT  It's day 51 in the BB house.  Sundays are supposed to be the day the nominees plead their cases for an acquittal and the PoV holder announces their intention.  This week Jee bought the PoV for the purpose of keeping his two nominations on the block, and it's doubtful that anything will change.

So far the only news in the house is that Jack made weak coffee today, and Jun's doing laundry.  We've learned that the house doctor is Dr. Horowitz, and Robert has had two sessions with Dr. Zachary, the house shrink.

11:22AM Robert, who won the PoV twice, explains to Jee what he'll have to do as far as getting the box from the storage room, the speech, asking the nominees to speak, etc..  Meanwhile, Jun suggests that her and Ali streak through the CBS parking lot, oh my.

12:30PM A Quick PoV Meeting.  It's over and everything remains the same.  Jee didn't use the PoV.  McDonalds food will arrive at 2:00PM, Jee's guest for lunch today is Ali.

The haunted portrait.

1:15PM Mysterious Outdoor LD  It's not odd that there was a LD without a reason given to the HGs or an impending event.  Sometimes BB just needs to change a light, or make an adjustment to the equipment,  so this LD was not out of the ordinary.  What made is mysterious is that when it was over, Amanda's picture had been removed from the memory wall, even Scott's photo remains, but Amanda's is gone.  Robert went to the DR and asked why it was taken down,  BB's response, "Nice try buddy."  All the HGs have wild ideas of why the change was made, Ali's totally freaked, but Rob's guess is the the wildest, "They probably broke it when they were moving something and they're fixing it."

Jack:  "I can't get a reading on them.  All I know is that one of us is going out this week."
Erika: "Oh, Jack, you're such an investigator."

Wrap-Up:  Ali got her period.  Jun got Pamprin.  Ali thinks Jack hates her.  Robert and Jee think that except for Erika, they could have slept with any girl in the house.  Jun and Ali continue to find Jack's behavior creepy.  Jun say's he asked if she washes her panties.  The girls are still planning to surprise the dream team by evicting Jack on Wednesday. The night wrapped up with an exciting game of Old Maid.  While the HGs played cards, Jee studied the BB rule book.

There are more items missing from the house other than Amanda's picture.  These were spotted by my readers (none by me, but I was never able to find Waldo either):  Ugly Starburst kitchen clock.  The living room shelf that had the chrome "X" on it.  A sea shell filled with scrubby poofs by the bathtub.   Let me know if you spot anything else missing or moved.

Useless Facts:   Jun weighs 126, she once weighed 195.  Ali had an eating disorder and only weighed 106, she now weighs 127.  Robert weighs 132 and says he's never weighed more than 140.   Jack's checking in at 172.   All About Ali:   Ali is the only person this season to be saved by the PoV.  Ali had a nose-job, it cost $4000.  Ali's hero is Britney Spears because she's rich, young and hot. Her father is a lawyer who has helped women get out of abusive relationships,  Ali was once in such a relationship.   Ali has raised thousands of dollars, and recruited many corporate sponsors for her local woman's center.   Her mother made her take dance, skating, baton and soccer,  she like dance and skating, hated soccer and baton.

Saturday, August 23, 2003: The BB Boutique Opens Today

Campaigning and Plotting:  Ali tells Jee that Jack and Jun are going to form an alliance after Erika leaves.  In truth, there's been no formal agreement between Jack and Jun, in reality,  Jack trusts Ali more than Jun.  Robert and Jee finally realize that Ali currently holds all the power in the house.  This revelation came at a perfect time, just before Jack speaks to them about Jee using his PoV to save him and put up Ali in his place.  Meanwhile, Ali is working on her other alliance, and telling Jun and Erika that it will be an all girl final three.  To insure Ali's success, before she goes to bed, she does some last minute campaigning against Jack.  When Robert and Jee are alone, they consider the possibilities, and that being with Jack could be a good thing.  Jee: "If Ali gets HoH, she puts us both up, and Jack bumps one of us out....I'm not saying we betray her right away, but..."

Jun has been caught playing both sides, but her DR sessions and her actions in the house confirm that she is trying to make good on the promise she made to Jee's family to take care of him. Jun has gone so far as to tell Jee that she's expendable, as long as she takes the heat off of him.  But these past actions do not seem to have any bearing on Jee's decision making process.  He's basing his decisions on Justin's advice to not trust her.  Jun is oblivious to this.  I think she feels the game, history and ethnic bond  transcends the ex factor, and even though that she thinks he's a putz,  it's her goal to help him win.  Jun: "If I was at home and I saw three short dorky guys calling themselves 'The Dream Team', I would be thinking, 'what the fuck.'."

Early AM:  The hamsters are all tucked in their beds while visions of the BB Boutique shopping spree dance in their heads.  9:20AM Jack & Jun First Up for PB&J.

11:15AM The HGs have been in Outdoor LD for a while now.  They assume the house is being transformed into the BB Boutique.

Don't You Wish:  Don't you wish the HGs could hear us when we yell at them? The message I would like to get to them today is for Erika.  I'd tell her that we know she's PMSing, but cool it.  She cried when Jee traded their food away, pouted when Jee won the food contest, bitched about the costumes for the luxury challenge, "I am so not in the mood for this." And she didn't like her McDonald's breakfast this morning.  The powers- that-be have not made up their mind on who to evict.  This attitude will not help her stay in the house.  On the other hand, Ali's been extremely helpful and cheerful as of late. Had she continued to be a "drama queen," I don't think she would have lasted this long.

The girls check out their prizes.

11:57AM The LD continues,  Jun and Ali have to pee.  BB has given Jee the instructions to practice reading.  12:30PM The Shopping in the BB Boutique Starts! [7 minutes] image   I'm not sure how much time they got for their shopping spree, but the preview of the merchandise and the spree was about five minutes total.  Everyone was really thrilled with the stuff they got.  It sounds like there were keyrings and necklaces with photos of loved ones.  Robert got one of his daughter, and Ali got Donny. Jack got more than one Hawaiian shirt, I mean he picked it out, deliberately.  He said one's for his son, who is a surfer. Sacrifice & boutique from broadcast [8 minutes] image

The Broadcast:  Right off the bat we learned that the PoV for PB&J twist that played out on Thursday, was the "first in a series of twists and surprises,"  that's cool, we know there's more to come.  Next we saw Jee get his HoH room [8 minutes] image, and Julie warn them to "expect the unexpected.   A DR scene shows Ali wishing for that all girl final three, Jun trying to rally support to evict Ali, and all this was just in the first fifteen minutes.  The second quarter brought us a short piece on Robert's nose, and Jack's take on JFK.  A segment on privacy in a glass house was followed by Erika and  Jack talking to Jee about possible nomination scenarios.  Jack made a tactical blunder by suggesting to Jee that maybe he should think about loosing Robert.  Thursday started off with the closing of the oasis room, and got twisted when Julie Chen made the HGs an offer Jee couldn't refuse (see Thursday, 6:15PM for details).  The second half showed the DR scenes [8 minutes] image that comprised the wicked PoV challenge.  The third quarter showed the fallout [8 minutes] image. Robert's reaction was priceless, he was furious, but didn't know it was his teammate that screwed him.

6:30PM Jun Invents a New Non-Food  After verifying with BB that bullion is a condiment,  Jun invents ghetto chicken soup by adding parsley and herbs. The household is very impressed.  Jee only ate the broth despite Jun's urging that his food will only spoil and go to waste.  By 7:00PM Gandhi had changed his mind.
9:25PM Jee smokes his last cigarette.

7:15PM Jun and Ali Confer.   Ali verifies that the DT (dream team or delusional thinkers) are under the impression that Erika is leaving, but the girls will vote out Jack.  Ali's plan is to then go after Robert and Jee, but she shouldn't trust Jun and Erika to stick to that.  9:20PM Jun and Ali decide not to tell Robert and Jee in advance, they'll be surprised when Jack goes and Erika stays.  Ali and Jun have commented many times that Jack makes inappropriate sexual comments.  There's speculation that he stalked his wife.

Friday, August 22, 2003: It's the Revenge of the Gnomes!
2:30AM BBT Erika concocts a crazy scheme.  What if they go to Jee and talk him into using the PoV himself, to put Ali on the block?  Less than three hours without food and she's crumbling.  Jack thinks it won't work, but will try it.  The conversation continues for about 45 minutes and they recall all that they've been through together.  It's sad because they know their era is winding down, and that only one of them will be playing the game next week.  It's really the same melancholy the stooges felt last week.  Jack should have a pretty good idea that as things stand, he's staying.

10:17AM Wake Up Call  As usual, Jack and Jun are the first up.  You can hear some kind of construction going on outside of the house.  Ali gets up at 10:35AM, with Robert close behind.  Jee's up by 10:45, sometime before 11:00 Erika got up.

The Las Vegas odds for this week were not updated this week. Maybe they lost interest.

At 11:15 BB tells them a luxury challenge will begin in one hour.  OK, maybe it's a food comp, and a luxury tonight, I don't know.  I really just make up half this crap.  Revenge of the Gnomes  Coming Soon!  While waiting for the clothes for the gnome challenge, Erika tells about her friend Marci, and a Super Bowl party with Troy Aikman [9 minutes] image

At 1:08PM The HGs get coveralls for the Revenge of the Gnomes food competition.  We got a sneak preview of the yard during camera rehearsal [1 minute] image

1:45PM The HGs go outside to find the gnomes are back and they are madder than hell, and who is the host of this mayhem?  None other than the star of Big Brother 3, Marcellas Reynolds (we know he was the star because he said so).  The HGs must break open the gnomes to find gold tickets, be the first to collect three and win food from McDonalds for yourself and a guest.  Jee won the five meal prize.  This time Robert's mad, not at Jee directly, but for not thinking that Jee should of sat the competition out.  Jee, as you may recall, was not on the PB&J restriction that he put the rest of the house on.  If Jee had not tried to win, there would have been three people in the house eating instead of two.  Highlights from Revenge of the Gnomes w/ Marcellas intro [9 minutes] image  Gnomes from broadcast  [7 minutes] image

After the contest, Jee is mad at Erika for being a sore loser.  He said the black smoke that came from her gnome was her bad karma for being a bitch over having to eat PB&J.   Jack had trouble getting the gold glitter from the gnome contest off of him.

This week's eviction will only have three voters, Jun, Ali, and Robert.  Jun and Ali are considering keeping Erika because they don't want to be the only two girls in the house.  The conversation ended when Erika entered the room.

4:00PM  Jun tells Jee that if he wins the luxury competition tonight she'll marry him, "Jee I think your luck is changing since we dated."   Jee has divvied up his guest meals with everyone.  Jack will with eat with him tonight, Jee says, "We'll make it like a date." Jun kids Jack that he should wear his gold-dust glitter for his date with Jee.  Robert asks Jun, "If they offered you two days to go home and be with Bob, but you'd have to stay in the house three extra weeks, would you take it?"  Jun says she would.  After the indoor LD, Jee goes outside for a cigarette, just four more to go, then Jee will without smokes for the remainder of the game.

5:00PM Jack and Jee are called the DR together to talk about their "dinner date."

6:00PM McDonald's Dinner arrives for Jee and Jack.  Jun is very excited, he found games on the McDonald's placemats.  Jack gets chicken and salad, with a strawberry sundae for desert. Jack has just 30 minutes to eat, then what food is left must be taken away.  Rather than look at the food, Robert goes outside and plays basketball until BB asks him to put up the protective window screens.

6:30PM Jee tells Robert he had to win the food challenge to keep Jack and Erika weak so they won't win the HoH contest next week.  He fears that Jack's goal would be to split Robert and Jee up.   Robert, "Oh definitely, I know. They should be kissing your ass for this.  If I won, I don't know if I'd share with everyone."

7:30PM Luxury Challenge  Jee gives the HGs costumes to wear for the luxury challenge.  They're skimpy little things like something out of a cheap Tarzan movie.  They don war paint and draw ping pong balls to determine the order they'll participate in the challenge.  The last thing they need to do before going outside is they must bring a certain item of clothing;  Jun's fishnet top, Jack's black polyester jogging pants, Erika's pink hat, Ali's white short-shorts, Robert's red tank top given to him by Justin, and Jee's orange shorts.

Tonight the HGs will make a sacrifice to the gods of fashion.  Going in the order determined by the balls, each HG may select another HGs item to be sacrificed in a pit of burning fire (a 55 gallon drum with a cool pyro device in it).   If all the HGs allow their items to be sacrificed, they will be rewarded by a shopping spree in the Big Brother Boutique.  This traditional event always means a lot to the HGs, a year later Marcellas is still talking about the Diesel jeans he got at the BB Boutique.

The items that were torched were selected by the  DR remarks about the tacky things worn by their fellow housemates.  They all participated so there will be a timed shopping spree tomorrow.  Sacrifice to the fashion gods [26 minutes] image

Thursday, August 21, 2003: Jee Screws House & Nominates Jack & Erika
Scheduled From what Julie told us, the HGs will be effected by the twist today.  It's also closing day for the oasis room.  This means two more HGs will be evicted today, Cuff and Link, the Sulcata tortoises will be leaving the house.

9:00AM First Wake-Up Call   Only Jack and Jun obeyed, the nasty "Get up for the day" announced followed at 9:12AM

No one lives here anymore

9:45AM The Oasis Room is Closed.
Jack has moved into the blue room, and took Justin's bed.  Justin had left playing cards forming the letters "DT" for "Dream Team"  on the bed spread.  Erika moved into the HRD.

11:00AM Nothings Going On!  It's a cloudy day in Studio City, somewhat cooler than usual.  Ali and Erika are taking a naps, the boys are on the patio swapping stories about hernia operations and kidney stones.  There was no food challenge, and nothing's been set up for an afternoon contest.  Everyone is nervous because the usual DR calls prior to nominations haven't been made.

The HGs, feeling no obligation to entertain me,  went back to bed.  By 12:45PM Jack and Jee were on the patio reminiscing about the game, and talking about how unsettling it is to know that something's coming, and not know what it is.  The conversation once again returns to Jack's investigation of the J. F. K. assassination.  Jack says that he knows that Oswald acted alone and feels that Oliver Stone only got two facts right in his move: The date of the assassination, and the name of the victim.  "His theories aren't worth the price of admission.  Don't even bother to rent it."

2:49PM Outdoor LD  I hope this means something's happening.  The HGs can hear BB working inside the house, music in the DR, noise in the kitchen.

4:45PM It's been FotH for about an hour. 6:00PM Still FotH.  I watched The Amazing Race, and I still think the clowns can win.

6:01PM Right after I posted the feeds returned.  Erika was crying, Jee was standing off by himself.  The HGs are all unanimous, they hate Jee.  He made an agreement with Julie that sentences the HGs to PB&J for a week.

6:15PM  HERE'S THE TWIST:  As I predicted, the HGs were made an offer by Julie for a personal gain, in return for screwing the other HGs.  Jee took the PoV, in return for the houseguest's food. Each guest was called into the DR and offered the PoV.  Julie said to them, "In front of you is the golden veto.  It can be yours if your willing to put your fellow HGs on PB&J for the rest of the game."  When they turned down the offer, the fee was lowered to "PB&J until the end of the month," then, her final offer, "PB&J for one week."  Julie taunted the HGs, "Go ahead, pick it up, feel the power..."  The twist DR scenes [8 minutes] image

Jee took the PoV to insure his nominations in exchange for the HGs being forced to eat PB&J for one week.   Jee is saying he's sorry to his fellow HGs, and will eat PB&J with them, even though he's allowed to eat regular food (I'll be watching).

Not only was Jee stupid enough to buy the PoV, he bid one week, which was the lowest amount, so he knew no one bid less.  If Jee hadn't bid, there wouldn't have been no PoV holder this week.  Everyone in the house thought the offer was so lame that no one would take it.  The HGs even suggested that if Erika or Jack took the offer they could understand, they could use it to save themselves, but Jee gave up so much, for so little.

Robert's not as mad at Jee as the others, Rob blames the producers.  Rob's not known for his strength, we'll see if Rob still feels that way after five days of PB&J.  Erika feels she just pulled a "Marcellas," by turning down the PoV, but rationalizes by saying that everyone would hate her for doing it and she'd be out the next week anyway.  Rob suggests that they put up Jun with Erika, Erika's the target, they just want to irritate Jun.  Jun's PMS also begins this week.

6:45PM The nomination meeting hasn't taken place yet.  Jack tells Erika that the two stooges haven't decided, "they keep going back and forth on the issue."  Jack may not know that Ali is consulted on these matters, and Jack has been approached by Rob about joining their side.

7:10PM Ali's thinks nominations will be tomorrow.  Ali may be to pull off another twist...  She really wants Jun out of the house, if Jack and Ali vote Jun, Erika could be saved.  This would be the second time Jee's pawn would be evicted.  Remember the look on his face when Julie announce that Michelle was voted out?

7:24PM It's cool in Studio City tonight, the HGs cover-up for an outdoor LD.  It's assumed this is the pre-nomination LD. 8:30PM LD Over.  Erika complains that it was all too predictable.  It appears that Jack and Erika were nominated after all, and Jee has the PoV, so that'll stick.

Amusing Aside:  Ali's been chuckling over the fact that Justin took a handful of condoms with him when he made his exit Wednesday.  No big deal, except that she's found numerous reasons to bring the subject up.  She always laughs about it, but she's thinking about more than a detached person would.

8:45PM Jun's Preparing the Last Supper.  There's just three hours and 15 minutes of food left, then it's PB&J for a week.  It's going to be one miserable house as Erika announces that she too is PMSing.  Jee tries to boost his approval rating by sharing his HoH snacks (Ferrero Rocher chocolates) with the girls. His ploy seems to be working, for the moment.

Wednesday, August 20, 2003:  Justin Evicted - Jee is HoH

Maybe it's just me, but this scene always cracks me up.  This is three stooge's little beds, all in a row, with three little stooges hiding under the covers after wake-up call.  That's Justin in the back, Jee in the middle, and the lump in the front is Robert.  One of this group will be evicted tonight and this scene will never be repeated again.

9:39AM Wake-Up Call. Repeated at 9:43AM  BB's trying to get them up a little early today.

10:00AM the HGs go out to the BY for an outdoor LD and even the stooges had to get out of bed.  Once outside they found the Bocci ball game wasn't the same as it was last night, it's two lanes now.  Last night's practice [1 minute] image LD over at 10:15, back to breakfast.

12:36PM Jack and Erika are playing the "what-if game"  They remember back to the beginning when Ali had a meltdown finding out that Justin was in the house.  Jack wondered what kind of a monster Justin was to evoke such a response.  Now that Jack knows Justin he regrets that pack, and wishes his team had  been, Erika, Dave, and Justin instead of Nate.

Tonight's Broadcast:  The usual review preceded Julie chatting with the HGs.  Julie surprised me by showing taped votes, rather than live, first up was Jack, voting to evict Justin. The second quarter showed Robert's ex, Natasha, the mother of his little girl, Elena. In the private chat with the HoH, Julie asked Erika if she threw any of the previous HoH challenges, and she said she didn't, but indicated it wasn't a priority until she felt targeted.  Next, Jee voted to evict Robert.  The second half was a tribute to "The Dream Team," AKA "The Three Stooges."  Ali and Jun voted next, they both voted Justin, but that wasn't revealed.  They showed the sequester house, and Dana's lament that she's lonely, then Nate arrived.  Sequester House [3 minutes] imageThey showed them getting along well, but Dana's still passionate about the game.  Julie announced the vote:  3 to 1.  Justin is evicted [5 minutes] imageJulie asked if the relationship with Dana will pick-up where it left off, he said it would.  Whether they continue their relationship outside the sequester house remains to be seen.  As always, the last quarter is the HoH competition. From the DR comments, we see that Ali is not going to try to win.  The game wasn't really Bocci Ball, and nothing like Skee Ball.  Ali went first, her score was poor, Jee did better, then Robert, but he left Jee in the lead.  Jun went fourth, but failed to beat Jee, Jack went last, but Jee remained the victor. HoH Contest [6 minutes] image Julie's last word was a warning to the HGs that things are about to be shaken up again. She didn't reveal just what the twist is, but told the HGs it would start tomorrow.  We'll be told about the twist on Saturday's show, I'm hoping we get it live before then.

BB provided the HGs with a complete dinner

Afterwards:  Jee and Robert were in the BY, gloating already.  Ali's in the kitchen wondering about the twist.  For those of you wondering---  I don't think Jack threw it.  He's either a great actor, or he's really despondent about letting down Erika.

Maybe a Clue:  Julie said the twist will effect the HGs tomorrow, and we'd see it on Saturday.  Nominations and Food Challenges are on Thursday, and shown on Saturdays. The twist will test the HGs character, which may not sound like it would relate to a food challenge.  Also remember, each year they offered the HGs money to screw the other HGs, last year it involved a phone call home (everyone took the money but Lisa), and Julie appeared on an extra day.  That certainly was a character test.  With this test, Julie says, "...a twist that could change the game."  Rather than her usual reminder about the PoV on Tuesday's show, she said, "See how the surprise twist plays out." Julie's Clues [2 minutes] image

8:55PM Jee Gets His Room  He got snacks, cookie dough ice cream (seems like they all get that),  Mountain Dew, a picture of Carmen, something from Starbucks, and a Richard Marx CD.

Who's Up?  Robert told Erika a couple days ago, that if he won HoH, he'd have to put her up because she's such a phenomenal player.  Robert consults with Jee.  He explains that up until last week he was thinking about evicting Jack, but since he performs so poorly, they'll keep Jack, evict Erika. Jee agrees, Ali's OK with it too. They don't want to tell her until later because they don't think she'll take it well.  Robert tells Jack not to worry, they have plans for him, "don't tell Erika."

When Jun is told that the planned nominees are Jack and Erika, she suggests that Jee change one them to Ali.  Jun agrees to vote our Erika, and if she gets the PoV to not use it.  Jee also warns her that she is not safe and might be put up if Jack or Erika win the veto.

Jun tells  Erika and Jack that she told Jee she wouldn't use the veto but said she and has no problem with not keeping her word on that, however she doesn't let them know that Erika's the target, not Jack. They tell her she must win PoV, that she's their only hope. She lets them know if either of them win it that she will go up and not Ali.

When Jack and Erika are alone, Erika lets him know she has a bad feeling that Robert will convince Jee to put Jun up if the veto is used. Erika says that they probably put up Jack as a pawn to get her out.

Tuesday, August 19, 2003:  Breaking News: Justin Washes Shorts
9:30AM Erika, Jack, Ali and their cook, Jun are up and about.

11:00AM Ali and Jun have tormented Justin and Jee to get them out of bed, and it wasn't easy. Justin says,  "I can't vote, I can't eat, why do they want me up? I'm not good entertainment right now."  He finally stumbles out of bed and starts his laundry.  Moments later he's in the kitchen fixing a PB&J sandwich,  while Jun makes herself a mayo sandwich.  This is the last day for PB&J this week.

1:45PM  Curl Up & Dye  Jun talked Ali into some red highlights.  Although Ali says she'd never cry over bad hair, she seems really apprehensive about the change.  June whips out the Revlon and the project begins.  Sections of Ali's hair were coated with dye and wrapped in foil.  After some waiting and heat from the dryer, Ali's ready to be rinsed out, but while outside asking Robert a question, Jun asks Jack and Jee,  "Would you let anyone who doesn't like you color your hair?"   After the rinse Ali was pleased, I see no difference.

Tonight's Broadcast:  Started with the aftermath of the nomination ceremony.  Jun tried to explain why she traded her loyalty to the stooges for her safety, showing why most of the house hates her.  The heartache and loneness of being a floater, and then the HT see the America's Choice question of the week.  Then Jee misunderstands that he agreed not to use the PoV.  The PoV challenge image started the second half of the show and we got to see Jack's time of 18:49,  and that Ali threw the competition.  Robert got his letter image from his daughter is was very emotional of course.  There was more emotion when Erika and Robert talked through the differences in their history. American History Ex imageMost of tonight's broadcast was from events that happened on Saturday, like Ali and Jun forming an alliance with each other.  The last quarter of the show, as always,  showed some pre-meeting plotting and  the PoV meeting image, in which Jun did not use the veto.

Bocci Ball Practice

6:20PM Seven HGs with no N-R-G are in the LR playing cards.  Jee wants to go the bed because he's all tired out from a gin rummy game he played earlier.  The prospect of food arriving at midnight will keep them going.

7:00PM HoH Competition Rehearsals.  BB let the HGs practice Bocci ball tonight.  The game will be used in the HoH competition during tomorrow's live show.  Usually BB also has them practice during the day on Wednesday. It's expected that each HG will get just one roll.  Jun wanted to know what she should wear for the game, and the guys worried the game would ruin their manicures.

Midnight: Let the grilling begin.  A hungry house as made it through another day of PB&J.  Tonight there will be thick juicy burgers and turkey dogs on the grill.
