Monday,
September 9, 2002: MARCELLAS
WINS THE GOLDEN POV!
Sunday's Golden POV
Challenge Continues... The challenge, was called the
"Laser Labyrinth," it started at 9:30PM last night, didn't
end until 12:45AM today. At 12:55 Lisa congratulated Marcellas
on his win. The last thing Danielle did before going to bed
was to say goodnight to Jason, "You're not going to put in me
are you?" Jason, "No, I don't see any reason
to."
1:30AM Dani is Still Up: She's chatting with
Marcellas, who is playing solitaire. From their talk, I gather
the challenge was both physical and mental and included trivia about
evicted guests and general trivia. One of the questions
involved past presidents, Danielle says she knows nothing about
political stuff and has never voted.
3:30AM Bedtime. 8:00AM Marcellas up doing
ADLs. 11:30AM Danielle is up- Marcellas tells
Danielle that he doesn't think he'll use the POV to remove himself
from the block. He feels that the target nominee is Amy, and
it would look like he's insecure if he takes himself off. I'm
not sure what Dani's thinking is today, originally, the target was
Marcellas, of course he didn't know that. Dani's told him
she'll protect him, could be a lie, or maybe she is going after Amy.
1:15PM BBT A Fire Near Studio City- Marcellas is
called to the DR to be told that there's a fire in the Verdugo
mountains several miles from the studio. The fire is located
near Brand Park in Glendale and is moving north, away from the BB
house. The fire is so far away it will not effect them,
however, the HGs could see the smoke, and BB felt they should be
informed. Later, Lisa and Marcellas discover a new microphone
in the bathroom area near the mirrors.
IMPORTANT INFO
6:45PM "We've Got Mail" And as Jason said those words
the feeds went to FotH. When we returned, Jason was reading a letter
from Big Brother: "Greetings houseguests: As promised,
here is some important information about how the final days of Big
Brother 3 will play out. During this Thursday's live show, you
will compete for the penultimate Head of House position. This
is a crucial Head of House competition, as the winner will be
eligible to compete in the final HoH competition, scheduled to take
place the following week. In other words, for the first time,
one of you could be HoH two weeks in a row. Between the live
veto meeting, the live voting, the live eviction, this Thursday
promises to be a very busy evening, so rest up and prepare
yourselves. To make matters more interesting, you will take
part in a luxury competition following the live show on Thursday
night. One week from Thursday, there will be another live
eviction, and the votes will be cast live." -- "And as
always, you should expect the unexpected. Big Brother will end on
September 25th, two weeks and two days from tonight. Thank you for
your continued support and excitement as we head to the final
days." They'll be performing these stunts on only
PB&J, as the food will not arrive until after the competitions
on Thursday the 12th. TWO WEEKS AND TWO DAYS TO GO!
Summer Camp Craft: Tonight's camp craft project is a soap
making kit.
Sunday,
September 8, 2002: GOLDEN
POV CHALLENGE BEGINS
Today is the
competition to see who will win the Golden Power of Veto, the last
POV of the game, and the POV that allows the winner to remove
him/herself from the block. to see what happens.
How do 25 year old virgins
keep their boyish looks? They shave their chest before every
competition.
In the Meantime: Why not enjoy this clip from last
night. I call it "Why I fell in love with Kiki, By Jason
Guy." They were sitting around and made reference to J's
interest in Chiara. I was amused by Jason's response, "I
had a crush on Kiki-- And so I got suckered into it at first.
And then it turned into she has a boyfriend in this house, and
it wasn't me..." I hope you like it too.
WHY I FELL IN LOVE WITH KIKI BY JASON GUY
10:00AM BBT Marcellas confronts Jason: As you may recall
from 8:15PM yesterday, Marcellas was angry
over Jason's nomination choices. So this morning, he asks
Jason "Why?" Jason tells him it was a tough
decision, he just needed someone to go on the block with Amy, and
picked Marcellas. Marcellas: "Did you just think that
putting me in harm's way was okay?" Jason: "Yes, I
thought it would be okay. I could have put Danielle up and she would
have been fine with it. And with the Golden Veto, either you or Amy
could save yourself. " Marcellas reminds Jason of how he
saved him, "I also talked Chiara and Roddy out of nominating
you. I wasn't going to put any of this on you, but Chiara and Roddy
didn't give a shit about you." The conversation
goes on, and on, Jason: "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have worried
about the repercussions and I should have put up Danielle or
Lisa." Jason says hopefully things will be redeemed with
the Golden Veto today. Marcellas asks him point blank,
"So you don't have a deal with Lisa?" Jason
hedges, "I think everyone in the house is an amazing
person and I think everyone should win." Marcellas:
"I asked you a direct question." Jason:
"No, I don't have a deal with Lisa. I'm friends with her. I
want to keep on good terms with her." In the end
Marcellas hugs him and says he doesn't have to worry about him
coming after him, he understands that he was in a tough spot.
2:00PM BBT Lockdown: The HGs are in LD, as BB
prepares the yard for the POV challenge. 4:45PM Update:
They're still in LD. IMHO, I think they're starting to get
sick. Lisa started coughing a couple nights ago, Jason's all
stuffed up, Marcellas and Danielle have been groggy, and Amy's
complaining she feels dizzy and shaky. It could just be the
PB&J diet and boredom. They've been playing cards for two
hours waiting for the POV challenge to begin. I know, I'm
bored, feeling groggy too. 6:00PM Update: Marathon LD
continues. 6:52PM Update: Jason was called to the DR,
BB just wanted to take videos of Jason's snapshots, we hoped it was
to start the POV challenge.
9:30PM
The Golden POV Challenge Has Begun! All feeds were FotH,
not even a teaser picture of the yard to let us know what took seven
and half hours to set up. At MIDNIGHT it was still going
on. What could it be? Jason was told that "this
on will really 'rock you.'" Some of the viewers on
the update boards thought they saw lasers and fog, and think it's a
dance marathon...
Saturday,
September 7, 2002: Amy
& Marcellas Are Up, It's Official!
Early AM: I
really like the the early AM chats. Tonight the girls start on
Chiara and how trashy she was. Jason leaves the conversation
and the girls comment that he (Jason) has no idea what Chiara's
really like. Then they start think about the final vote, and
the cast party that follows. Suddenly Danielle realizes she
doesn't have any one to vote for her. Earlier Amy and Marcellas give
Danielle the crudest re-cap of Tonya's life story to date. WHO
DID I TRASH IN THE DR? THE
MOST SCATHING RANT ON TONYA AND CHIARA TO DATE
2:30PM BBT Jason Takes the Keys off the Wall: It's time
for Jason to put the keys in the box. He's already told Amy
that she will be nominated, and word is, that Marcellas is
too. It'll all be official around 3:30PM. 4:00PM
It's official! Amy is up for her fifth nomination and Marcellas is
with her again too.
4:15PM BBT Marci is Mad About Noms: Marcellas just
did one of his long tirades to Danielle. He feels he was
nominated, yet again because he's friends with Amy. Although
he feels safe (and he's not), he resents that his association keeps
getting him put on the block. He does realize that if Amy wins
POV, she's off and he's out.
5:00PM BBT Household Comments: Lisa and Dani were
especially impressed with Jason's nomination speech. Lisa told
Marcellas what she'd do with the prize money, helping her parents,
family and friends, no mention of travel with what's-'is-name. Jason
wants to drive out to Vegas with Roddy to see Tonya. Amy says
she's ready to leave the house (again).
6:00PM BBT The Basketball Diaries: Danielle and
Marcellas retreat to the basketball court and talk about
"battening down the hatches" (making sure the game goes as
planned) and love in the Big Brother house. Marcellas
remembers when he fell in love with Roddy, and the five minutes
later when he realized he was being manipulated. DANI
& MARCI: CONVERSATION ON A BASKETBALL COURT
8:15PM BBT Marcellas Unhappy with
Jason's Nominations: Marcellas tells Amy that he can't
understand why Jason picked him. And now Marci is trying to
figure out if Danielle is behind it. "But why would he
want to help Danielle? She's never helped him." He
figures that Jason has a deal with either Lisa or Danielle.
Danielle has always told Marcellas that the final three would be
her, him, and Lisa. MARCELLAS
SMELLS A RAT AND STARTS TO ADD THINGS UP
All Tucked in: By 1:00AM the whole
house was sleeping. I think this is the earliest they've gone
to bed so far.
Friday,
September 6, 2002: Oh
No: "Expect the Unexpected"
Early AM: The
conversation always turns to sex after midnight. Lisa and Dani
talk about faking 'it,' Amy talks about her night in a cemetery,
then Lisa asks Jason if he's looking forward to his first
time. Jason talks about his brother, Josh, who also saved
himself for the wedding night. It wasn't very x-rated, more
like a lost episode of "Seinfeld." AFTER
MIDNIGHT IN A BIG BROTHER BEDROOM
9:30AM
Ominous Message: Jason's up early today, and the big
screen has the message "Expect the
Unexpected." Wow! NO NOMINATIONS TODAY
Jason explains the new twist: Jason: "We were told to
expect the unexpected. The game is changing one more time. This is
the 'Golden Veto,' it is our last veto of
the season. All the same rules
apply except one. This veto come with an additional power. If you
are nominated and win you can take yourself off the block. The
golden veto gives you the power to change some ones destiny, or your
own." Nominations will be announced on Saturday, so Jason will
have an extra day to consider the ramifications of the Golden Veto!
The veto meeting will be held during Thursday's live show. The final
veto competition will be held on Sunday.
Things to Look For: In the past, there has always
been a cash buy-out offered for anyone willing to quit the
game. There has always been an open vote, where they either
vote live, or are shown the votes from the DR. Since there
will not be any DR voting on Wednesday (they won't know who's up
until Thursday) they could vote live and open. Jason's two
nominations are expected to be Amy & Marcellas, at least
that's his plan today. Jason certainly got an exciting week to
be HoH.
Lunch- Today's lunch is brought to you by, Subway. 1:15PM
After lunch the HGs had a good time watching clips from the
"Freeze Frame" game.
4:00PM Here's the Strategy: Jason will put up either
Amy and Marcellas, and Danielle and Lisa will both vote out Marci.
Or: Jason will put up Danielle against Marcellas and Lisa votes to
send Marcellas out. If Amy votes to keep him, Jason
breaks tie and Marcellas is out. Or: Jason wins power of
veto and uses it Thursday to take Amy off the block and put Danielle
up against Marcellas. Got it? If they were allowed to write,
they should make us score cards.
4:30PM
Craft Time: To alleviate the boredom, or possibly as part
of a later challenge, BB has provided candle making supplies to the
HGs (and what did you do at summer camp?). Of course Marcellas is in
a pissy mood and doesn't want to participate. "It looks
like a nice candle set, but I doubt it for $14.95"
With Roddy's Departure, The odds have changed.
I have to say I really don't agree with these odds. Marcellas
and Danielle have little or no votes on the outside for the
final judgment.

8:45PM A Formal Dinner Food Competition-- Marcellas and
Jason were provided with tuxedos and they were told they have
fifteen minutes to dress for a formal dinner in the backyard,
"this is a food competition." Amy says Jason
looks like Elvis in his tux. Marcellas is complaining about
wearing cheap rented tuxes. When they went outside, there were
large candelabras, like from a haunted mansion. As Jason read
the rules, "Welcome to the diner party-" he was cut off by
an ominous voice continuing for
Jason hosts the dinner party
from hell.
The dinner guests await their
fate.
Amy has to get that taste out
of her mouth, but "the goblets are cool"
him- "from hell." They formed two teams, Danielle
& Marc and Amy & Lisa. The game was played in
three rounds. Each round will count for two days of the week
Round 1= Sat & Sun, Round 2= Mon & Tue, Round= Wed
& Thur. In each round they must eat all the food on their
plates in one minute. The team that wins the coin flip goes
first. The team may choose a player to eat it or pass to the other
team. If you accept, the item will be revealed. If team refuses, the
other team chooses a player to consume it. After the first food item
is accepted, the second item is shown and the other team must choose
someone to consume it. Is it better to choose the known item
or wait for something better, or worse? There were gross-out items
like, boiled pigs feet in sauerkraut, boiled sheep's stomach stuffed
with lamb's liver and oatmeal, and sushi with seaweed.
The backyard set looked really good, but between special effects
malfunctioning and planes flying over, there were many
re-takes. As I recall from the last time Jason was HoH,
during the competitions they had to edit a lot because he's always
stopping to ask questions. BB "Chris" directed this
one, and Jason asked a lot of questions. I thought it was cool
that, earlier in the day, before anything started, Chris
asked Jason if a satanic dinner party would be a problem,
religiously, for him.
Marcellas wanted to quit and just take the PB&J for the week,
Jason insisted they press on. Both teams ended up eating
PB&J for the week. At the end, it was suggested the as HoH
Jason should select one thing from the table in a chance to get his
own food for one day. Jason said he would even try a little of
everything on the table, but alas, he will eat PB&J for the week
also. Jason took loosing the food competition really hard.
It's the closest to an angry Jason that I've seen. Marcellas
skipped off to the DR and told them "I don't give a shit about
Jason. He can eat his luxury food and screw it."
Lisa's not feeling well, she has a cough and it sounds like she's
coming down with something.
Thursday,
September 5, 2002: Roddy
Out, Jason is HoH!
Tonight: Live Eviction, and the
Last Big Brother TV Show for a Whole Week!
9:15AM BBT: Wake-Up Call: Another One Bites the
Dust -- The HGs were wakened by Queen's
"Another One Bites the Dust." It doesn't look like
Marcellas is up yet, it was his first night to sleep alone
(without Amy) in the HoH room.
11:30AM BBT: Rehearsal for Live Show. The HGs were
outside for quite some time while the feeds were FotH. This is
usually for a run through of the HoH competition so the directors
can get an idea of the time it will take and so the HGs will know
where to stand. Tonight's game may be a little more complex
than the usual question and answer contests they usually have.
When the feeds returned, we saw that Amy was still in the
house. Some people thought she might have left the game, as
all last night she was bitching that she didn't want to be there
anymore.
2:15PM
BBT Marci and Amy are Friends Again-- Well, at least I
think so. She said "I love you" but ended it with
"that's why this is so hard." Meanwhile, Lisa and
Roddy are saying their goodbyes. I'm tellin' ya, these two got
awful close.... Eric might not be thinkin' Roddy's so
wonderful. By 3:00PM the producers might have to make some
changes to their plans. A light rain is falling with a
thunderstorm on it's way, this is what's left of Hurricane Hernan,
which has been downgraded to a tropical depression and is 900 miles
Southwest of LA.
Kiss it goodbye,
He's outa here!
"Freeze Frame" HoH
Competition.
5:45PM BBT We've Seen the End of Roddy-- Roddy was
evicted in a 3-0 vote. He was greeted by his father and
brother, who will no doubt, whisk him off to a steak house for a big
dinner. Before the vote totals were announced Julie
played an interview with Rod's parents. ROD'S
PARENTS COMMENT ON ROD AND CHIARA After Roddy's exit, as usual, there was an interview
with Julie. This one was pretty good. JULIE
INTERVIEWS RODDY MANCUSO ON HIS EVICTION 5:50PM Jason becomes the New HoH- Danielle's plan
to throw the HoH competition in the second round, failed, as Amy and
Lisa lost in the first round. The game was called "Freeze
Frame." The HGs were show a video clip of a Big Brother
event feature a HG making a memorable comment, and had to complete
the comment by selecting from a multiple choice question.
After the show, Jason and Danielle laughed at how their plan fell
apart. The contest was quick and even left Julie to fill some
time at the end of the show by talking to the HGs. Amy told
Julie she regretted not using the POV, even though it may have meant
her eviction.
7:45PM Lisa Knows She Was Played: I really like
Lisa. I was a little worried she wasn't smart enough to know
that Roddy's been working her for the last week. During one of
the many recaps that Dani and Marci keep giving, Lisa told them
about all the stuff Roddy had said to her in the past few days-- she
knew. There's so much talk between the HGs about "how you
play the game." They knew Roddy was never badmouthing
anyone because he wanted a clean record for the cash vote. If
Dani knows this, why is she trashing the jury? The evictees
have all said they wouldn't vote for her, and yet even the Vegas
odds calculator has her at 5/2.
Look at Jason's bulging
basket.
9:00PM Jason's HoH Room is Ready- Got pictures from his
brother's wedding, Doritos, Snickers, the "Moulin
Rouge!" CD he mentioned at the end of the show, a letter from
home, M&M's, Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream, a
necklace, and a block of cheese. He shared his edibles with
everyone. Marcellas was really pissed that Jason got such
better stuff than he did. "I had to beg for a lousy $3.25
bottle of lotion, and he gets two bottles of cologne. I'm
going to the DR right now!" Amy told him, "...you're
a bigger drama-queen than me!" Marcellas: "No you
don't understand. They do it because they know it gets to
me. They know I'm the star of the show, and this is just their
way of saying 'No you're not.' My feelings are hurt yet
again." "They're going to have to bring Arnold in
for this one... and Johnny Cochran" After a
marathon DR session, Marcellas came out and apologized to
Jason.
9:05PM Dinner Arrives- The HGs always get to order out on
Thursdays. Tonight's fare was Italian and came with wine.
Wednesday,
September 4, 2002: Voting
Day
Early AM: Most
of the HGs are asleep. Roddy's outside lounging in the hammock
when Lisa comes out to get the laundry. She joins him for a
cup of tea and they go inside. They talked about their families, and
Roddy hopes that his parents will be there Thursday if (when) he
gets evicted. They went to bed where they started what's
become a nightly ritual of signing and whispering to each other
under the covers.
9:45AM Wake Up Time-- Breakfast at 11:45, 12:15PM
Voting is complete--
12:30PM BBT: House In LD: The HGs were called
outside for a LD and Lisa does more laundry. Dani tells Jason
it was hard voting. When Jason starts to tell Danielle what he
said in the DR, the feeds switch to FotH. Could there be a
surprise on Thursday? I don't think so. It sounds as if
Roddy's parents will be present for his eviction. In Chiara's web
chat interview, she says her father and brother didn't come to
greet her at her eviction because they did not approve of the show.
2:30PM BBT: Amy, Not Happy Again-- First, Danielle and
Marci told her that her Elmo voice is annoying, then BB busted her
for writing a note with a mascara pencil in the HoH room. She was
scolded in the DR for the violation, and now (3:15PM) she's sulking
by herself. Later she's called back to the Dr told to stop
crying.
Slow News Day-- Since the feeds are dull right now, I
checked the Las Vegas odds by John Avello of Bally's Casino.

4:30PM BBT Indoor LD: Now the HGs are in another LD,
this time it's inside. 8:30PM BBT Amy and Marcellas Fight Again: Even the other HGs
aren't sure what the quarrel is about, but Amy has removed her
things from the HoH room. Marcellas: "I hope that my
public display did not make you guys unhappy but I'm tired of that
bitch and I am not gonna pretend I'm not." Between the
airplanes and FotH, no one is really sure what happened. Amy
even asked Marcellas at one point, "What happened between us
Marcellas?" Amy's been pretty calm through it all, and
went on to cut Roddy's hair (brave Roddy).
Danielle's New Plan: Her and Jason intend to throw
the HoH competition tomorrow night. So that Amy gets
HoH. This way she'll be forced to put up Marcellas.
They're pretty sure she won't put up Jason, because with Roddy gone,
she'll need a man to flirt with. This also works to their advantage,
because the next week she won't be eligible for HoH and they
can get rid of her. Even if they goof, and Lisa gets HoH,
she'll put up Marcellas, and that'll be another one down.
Danielle's got this thing thought out, except for one thing, so far
there are no evicted HGs that would vote for her to win in end,
however they all like Jason.
Tuesday,
September 3, 2002: Godzilla
and Rodan in Eviction Hearing
The great lizard trial of
2002
3:30PM BBT: Marcellas Wants to Evict the Lizards--
Marci has mentioned several times before they he hates sleeping in
the same room as lizards. Today he said he wants them evicted
from the house, and after one of them took a dump on Amy, he now has
additional support. The other HGs decided to put the lizards
on trial to decide if they stay or if they go. Although Amy
wanted the job, Jason acted ask the lizard's defense lawyer.
The jury consisted of photo's of the evicted HGs. At 4:15PM
the trial began. Throughout the trial the lizards (Godzilla
and Rodan) never answered a single question, which is acceptable, in
that our Fifth Amendment rights should be extended to
everyone. Marcellas read from Big Brother handbook: "
'Like any other pet they should provide entertainment and joy.' Up
until today they haven’t brought us any entertainment. 'Like any
other pet you must each act like responsible owners.' Big Brother
says that '...any harm put on these animals would be cause for
eviction from house.' These Lizards have not bothered to get to know
us. I don’t know them." In the end,
Marcellas decided that they didn't want to be known as the guests
that evicted the bearded dragons and they were saved for one more
week. Lisa remarked, "This is the most entertaining thing
we've done since we’ve been here." Amy: "I’m
disappointed. I wanted the damn things to go."
Immediately following the trial, the lizards were called to DR for
their first interview.
9:45AM Cards & Sex: A game of cards on the patio
turns into a conversation on the male physiology, covering
erections, masturbation, and circumcision (Dani's giggle is
great).. 11:45PM After Danielle goes to bed, Roddy gets
Amy alone in hammock and makes her cry again. Same old
lecture, just play one of the clips from yesterday, you can't tell
the difference. THE
PENIS DIALOGUES
