Sunday, July 14, 2002: Sundays are Slow...
Day Seven:
There's been some plotting going on, but they've blocked most of it from the live feeds by switching to other cameras when the HGs start to reveal too much.   On the subject of sexy stuff, we learned today that Tonya's been part of a threesome (herself, another girl and a guy). Chiara had an affair with a married man, a very important, wealthy married man.  After telling the story, in code, BB started blocking the feeds when additional details were revealed.  Another HG apparently knows a BB producer, they're doing their best to block this info from us too.   The girls just adore Jason.  So it appears women want what they can't have too. Danielle auditioned for "Survivor," "Isn't that Jeff Probst a real cutie..."

After discovering a baby possum living under the hot tub, the girls started work on their latest BB project, making their own bikinis.  I missed BB giving out this assignment, but judging from the comments the girls have made, the guys also have to make their own swimsuits.  "Oh they're not going to do anything, they'll just stick a banana peel on their dicks and call it quits."

3:40AM BBT:  Go figure this: Lisa wins HoH and ends up sleeping on the floor while Eric and Tonya sleep in her bed.

Sexy stuff I missed:  I thought I wasn't missing much, but Kent Blackwelder from "Big Brother 2" has caught a few naughty tidbits I missed.  It's all detailed along with his opinions on "BB3" in this commentary written for RealityNewsOnline.com  Full Details

Saturday, July 13, 2002: A Luxury Challenge

Day Six:
After sunbathing topless, Tonya and  Chiara took a shower together making little shaving cream bikinis--  A a show for Eric, Roddy and Josh.  Oooh, Eric's bad, CBS won't be airing his comment on their #1 sponsor "That Citrona is garbage..."   For the last couple days Gerry has seemed obsessed with what he can swipe from the house to sell on eBay.

Searching for missing items in the luxury challenge.

2:30PM BBT: Six items have been removed from the house by Big Brother.  The guests were divided into two teams.  Each team took turns selecting a "detective" that will check out the house and try to determine what's missing.   The teams were Red Team: Lori, Roddy, Josh, Danielle, Jason, Chiara,  Blue Team: Marcellas, Tonya, Gerry, Eric, Amy,  Lisa. The winning team will get a Hawaiian luau while the losers are on lockdown and watch through the windows.   The blue team won by a score of 6 - 5. I couldn't keep track of who won the points for either team.  The Blue team can come in the house to use the bathroom but they can not bring food or drinks into the house.  They can not share with the Red Team.   Red Team must stay in the house and cannot put the shades down.  Any violation will be met with PB&J punishment based on the level of the infraction.  They got mangos in champagne, punch, pulled pork, steak, veal, lobster, and coconut cream cake for dessert.  The luau was followed by an LD.

Not much has happened today.  A plane, possibly with a banner, flew over the house today, but know one looked at it.  The guests have been a little disoriented since being in the the house without a clock.  Gerry was trying to make a crude sundial in the yard today, and that's about it so far.

Another Alliance:  The girls the that were part of Eric/ Roddy/Josh alliance realized that Josh's plans are to have all guys in the final four.   Chiara, Tonya, and Lisa have formed an underground all girl alliance, although catty, the girls do like each other as a group better than the guys get a long.

Friday, July 12, 2002: Veto Vote Will Rock the Boat
Day Five:

A discussion about Gerry coming out of the bathroom without washing his hands  turns into an all out screaming match between Danielle and Lori.

8:15PM BBT: It sounds like Gerry is having second thoughts about how he'll use his veto power.  "I can’t put out Marcellas that is just wrong"  To Danielle: "I have to walk out of here like a man.  I have too many gay friends--  They'll [the Josh crowd] deny it to their dying day but it is homophobic and racist and they don’t’ even know it---  And I battle that every day in the world I was raised in.  If it gets my ass kicked out of the house for it: so be it.  I’m richer for it."

2:45PM BBT: Gerry won the veto challenge.  The HGs feel that Gerry has a lot of power now.   As I understand it, at this point, Gerry's intention is to use his veto to save Lori, and it also appears that Marcellas knows this.  Trivia: Marcellas says he's a "top" never been bottomed (I knew you needed to know that).

The Veto Rules:
The person who wins the Veto Challenge will have the opportunity to remove one of the two nominated HGs from being voted on for eviction. In other words, the veto power gives a HG the ability to override the decision of the head of household. On the down side, the person who wins veto power will be ineligible for HoH, the following week.

If the person who wins the veto power decides to exercise that power and to remove one of the nominated HGs from the eviction vote, then the HoH will choose to nominate another person to replace the HG who has been removed from nomination. The HoH may not nominate the person who exercised the veto, and the HoH may not nominate, again, the person who has just been removed.

4:00AM BBT:  Everyone's finally asleep.  Josh had told Lisa not to hook up with Eric, because in the past (Will and Shannon), couples have become targets.  Lisa was offended that Josh wants to "edit" her behavior, but they pretty much agreed he was right (at least that's the impression they gave).  After the long talk, Eric and Lisa went to bed together in the HoH room (and Eric snores too).  While nothing was going on in there, Roddy and  Chiara were asleep in the same bed (spooning) in the HRD.  Looks like Josh made his address to the wrong couple. This could be important to you if you're playing FBB.

2:30AM BBT:  The Eric/ Roddy/Josh alliance was discussing the possibility of using the veto vote to to get rid of Gerry instead of Marcellas.  Josh better watch his back, because Eric told Chiara that  he wants himself, Chiara, Lisa, Roddy, Tonya, and maybe Josh to be in the final six.  Of course he could change this story when he talks to others.    One reason to get rid of Gerry is that he has a breathing problem and sleeps with a breathing mask causing his snoring to be amplified.  I've got to admit, I don't understand how this veto thing will work.  After listening to the HGs, I'm not sure they understand it.

Thursday, July 11, 2002: Nominations are In
Late Day Four:  The HGs were given an air cannon that fires balls like the kind used in arcades and  carnival games.  The HGs are to try to shoot the balls into PVC target containers.  They're told to practice, the skill might come in handy.

Day Four:  I haven't had to listen to the feeds and write these blurbs since September, I'm out of practice.  It sounds as if Lisa has selected Lori and Marcellas as her eviction nominations.  Marcellas doesn't seem to play well with others.  I can't tell if this is why they want him out, or he's not socializing because he unhappy about the nomination.  Jason and Lori consider Josh a threat, and they're right.

In Eggs Over Easy, house guests had to catch eggs to win food items.

Before entering the Big Brother house, Josh got drunk and called Mike "Boogie" from BB2 for advice. Josh sobered up before Mike returned the call and never talked to him.  Jason says he's read most of the Bible. Eric and Roddy explain to the ladies the male need for sexual release.  And it's apparent that boredom is setting in.

I see Eric and Roddy smoking cigars, and I  saw Lori and maybe one other girls with a cigarette.  This year they will not be allowed to get cigarettes from Big Brother like they did last year.  When they run out, they're out.  This could make things pretty edgy.  Lori brought 80 packs of cigarettes and some nicotine patches in case she does run out.

More Tidbits: Josh shaved his chest hair.  Jason is a virgin.  Amy's favorite movie is "Cat on Hot Tin Roof."  Chiara was once charged with a DWI.  Danielle hasn't had a bowel movement since she's been in the house. Gerry wrote a song called "Big Brother Blues" and CBS made him copyright it so they could use it on the show.   Marcellas wants Tonya and Lori out, Lori because she snores, and her fashion lack of sense.

The Twist: This year there will be a Veto Challenge contest.  The winner, gets the opportunity to veto a nomination.  The veto holder is very powerful "You can't be picked and the person you take off the block can't be picked again."  Of course this info is just pieced together from the feeds, and CBS cuts them so we don't know exactly how anything works.  It's possible that evicted guests don't get to go home, but are merely sequestered and can be brought back into the game at a later time.

Day Three:  A luxury challenge was held.  The prize: the key to the hot tub.  To win the key, the guests had to wear bathing suits provided by Big Brother.  The guests then had to jump into a tub of colored water and slime, then exchange suits.  Each guy to end up in a girl's bikini, each girl in one of the guy's suits.  They won.

Chiara did a good job giving Jason a haircut, so now we know who'll do their hair if Marcellas is voted out.

Thursday, July 11, 2002: Live Feeds Start at 1:00Am
The Live Feeds started at 1:00AM ET!  It's free for until Sunday, July 14th.
Wednesday, July 10, 2002: The Game Has Begun!
Day One:  The houseguests (HGs) were admitted to the house in three groups of four, as soon as they entered, they could  choose their beds.  One bedroom has some privacy (from the others, not us), and is nicer than the others, but there are only three beds, to four people.  The second bedroom has four beds, a glass wall, and is decorated like a child's room.  The last sleeping area has three army style cots and a hard wooden bench.

The first group in was  Eric, Lisa, Gerry and Amy.  They selected the kiddy style room.  The second group to enter were:  Roddy, Marcellas, Chiara and Lori.  They selected the "posh" room with Chiara and Lori sharing the large bed.  The last group in was Tonya, Jason, Josh,  and  Danielle.  Jason got stuck with the wooden bench.

The food challenge required  HGs to grab the week's food and take it to a nest, atop a faux tree.  Everyone accomplished the task within the time.   Once paired off, in the nests, they were told the last couple to leave the nest would win an extra $3,000 per week, for each week they remain in the house.  The nest sitting endurance test did not allow for bathroom breaks and Amy had a six-pack of beer in her grocery bag. Josh and  Lisa was the first out when Josh inadvertently left his leg out of the nest.  then Amy and Gerry, when then Amy needed a bathroom break.  Eric and Chiara gave up after two hours.   Marcellas and Danielle were out, then, after four hours in a tree Roddy stuck his leg out, leaving Jason and Lori the winners,  but...

Meanwhile, back in the house. Josh was plotting to have Marcellas kicked out during the eviction process.  Josh tried to get Amy, Gerry, Lisa, and Eric in an alliance against Marcellas.  We'll see.  If I was in that house, Josh would be the first out.  I also thought it was interesting that Josh lied while introducing himself to the others, he said he was a substitute teacher.

Day Two:  The Head of House (HoH) Competition was sort of a random popularity game, that ended with Lisa the first HoH.  As HoH, Lisa will have to nominate two HGs for eviction.  The other HGs will vote one of the two out.

Monday,  July 8, 2002: Banners Banned, Don't Look Up!
[NY Post, July 1, 2002] The producers of "Big Brother 3" will have several "plane-spotters" on staff this summer to keep an eye out for small airplanes dragging large banners with personal messages to the show's contestants.  "If we see a contestant looking up at one of those banners this season, it could end up getting them expelled from the house," "Big Brother 3" executive producer Arnold Shapiro told The Post. Monday,  July 8, 2002: Fantasy League Big Brother Starts Today
This year CBS has a new way to make us feel we're stuck in the house with these narcissistic nuts.  Play Fantasy League Big Brother. Registration begins later today.   Each week you will pick 4 Houseguests and depending on the events they do. They will earn you points for certain things. The events that can earn you points are: HoH,  Nomination, Food Challenge, Veto Challenge, Wearing Towel, Crying, Pointing Finger, Affection, Shares Bed.   You can trade your 4-team members to who you think will be better for you that week. This function will not be available during east and west coast airings of "Big Brother."  At the web site, you can see what houseguest is doing the best in regards to how many points they have gotten. This could help you when you're thinking of trading.
Sunday,  July 7, 2002:  The Houseguests Are Home!
The twelve houseguests moved into the "Big Brother" house yesterday and discovered their new home has a fireplace, and that two pairs of houseguests will have to share double beds.  We've discovered that Jason Guy has his own web site, no content yet, apparently he's waiting for fame, check it out at www.jasonguy.com.  On the first broadcast of "Big Brother" we'll catch up with "Big Brother 2" winner, the Evil Dr. Will Kirby.  He talks about him and Mike Boogie pitching a TV series concept and trying to sell a screenplay to Adam Sandler.
Saturday,  July 6, 2002: Guests will compete to win a "Veto Challenge"
The guests will try to win veto power over the nominations.  It's not "immunity," it's veto power  over a nomination, yours, or someone else's.
Friday,  July 5, 2002:  Twelve Players
We got our first look at the twelve players in "Big Brother 3."  And it looks like I was scammed, they bear no resemblance to the twelve people I had listed.  But that's OK,  gossip and rumor are all part of the game.  We'll just try to keep that out of the daily reports.

Just to clear up about the live video:  Some stories gave the impression that if you signed up for "Fantasy Big Brother," you wouldn't have to pay for streaming video.  This was just a matter of poor wording (glad I didn't write that one).  After the trial period, you'll need to fork over at least $9.95.

Thursday,  July 4, 2002:  Big Brother HG, Krista, Sues CBS
NEW ORLEANS [AP] (July 3, 2002 8:12 p.m. EDT) - A contestant who had a knife held to her throat on the TV reality series "Big Brother 2" is suing CBS, alleging the network never should have allowed the assailant on the show because of his past arrests.

During the show, fellow contestant Justin Sebik put a knife to Krista Stegall's throat while kissing her and asked if she would be mad if he killed her. Sebik maintained he was joking but was kicked off the show. Full Details

Wednesday, June 19, 2002:  Big Brother House Guests, Scoop or Scam
Is there a leak in the Big Brother office?  I don't know if the names and descriptions for the 2002 housemates are correct, but the info comes from a list being circulated on the net.

Friday,  May 31, 2002:  Applications are In

More than 5,000 people applied to have their every move televised, up from 3,500 last year!  Producer, Arnold Shapiro, is currently screening 50 semifinalists in L.A. before narrowing them down to the 12 housemates.
