Monday,
September 23, 2002: Evicted
Houseguests Get Their Chance
to
Confront the Winners, Winners Answer Questions!
Something is
supposed to happen that will keep the HGs busy. This is good
because the conversation hasn't been exactly sparkling:
Lisa: "I think I might take a nap."
Dani: "Are you tired?"
Lisa: "I don't know."
9:00AM BBT: The Girls are Up Just doing ADLs,
nothing happening. 12:15PM: The girls are dressed
up and waiting for BB to begin something. They are nervous and
there have been sporadic and brief FotHs caused by singing and I
think they've received some instructions from BB. Dani's made
numerous trips to the bathroom, and Lisa has warned her to calm down
before BB has to bring in the shrink for her.
1:00PM BBT About to be questioned by Evicted Houseguests. The
evicted HGs completed a group discussion and later will ask Lisa and
Danielle to defend their actions and why they feel they should
win. The live feeds will not show the questioning, but I'm
hoping we'll be able to paste it together from their discussions
afterwards. At 1:10PM an extended FotH began and it's
assumed the interrogation has started. At 3:00PM it was still
going on. 4:00PM, still going on... 5:00PM,
still going on... 6:00PM, still going on...
Dani's slumped over the table
after eating the post-interrogation dinner
At 6:30PM we rejoin Lisa and Danielle. Dani's
wearing her pink bath robe and she's at the table playing cards with
Lisa. She seems uncharacteristically quiet and maybe a little
depressed. She mentions that it's better on "Survivor"
because the voting is done on the island without the voters seeing
tapes of things they didn't know about. Food (burgers and
fries) arrive and we're back to FotH, for a
moment. This the most quiet these two have ever been (a
problem exasperated by the fact BB has the wrong mics picking up the
sound). Lisa says Marcellas was happy and bubbling.
Lisa's happy that Eric still thinks she's beautiful. I think
things were rough on Dani, she's still hardly talking. Lisa
makes comments trying to be humorous, and there's very little
reaction from Dani. Danielle: "The person I really
want to talk to now is my father, 'cause he's the man. The man
with the wisdom." More FotH.
7:45PM They Corrected The Sound Problem-- We now join Dani
and Lisa in the tiki room. Lisa is still concerned about
Eric. She feels he'd never go out with a girl that made him
look like a chump, didn't vote him back into the house, and won, and
he didn't (win). Dani disagrees and thinks that Eric isn't the
type to care what other people think. We also learn that the
evicted HGs voted today, only the results will be read live on
Wednesday. The girls bemoan the fact they're stuck in the
house for another 48 hours, when the game is over.
By 2:00AM they called it a night. I didn't make it
that far. Without exaggeration, I watched the live feeds 14
hours today, and at least 12 of those hours was FotH with that music
that sounds like someone sawing through a violin.
Sunday,
September 22, 2002: Nothing
to Do
As you'll note on
the schedule, key members of the BB staff have the day off.
Therefore, there will be very little (if anything) to report
today. Be sure to check back on Monday, BB says it will be a
busy day.
So with nothing to do, the winning women of BB
House got up around 11:00AM. Made coffee and other ADLs like
feeding the lizards. They got more beer from BB, laid in
the sun through it all they talked talked talked talked. It's
mostly Dani, and mostly about the game, which as you can see is
over, or is it? As you may recall, we were told at the start,
there might be a twist in the voting process.
Not the final final veto? OK, this is pure
speculation, rumor and hearsay, but I feel I'd be remiss if I didn't
report it. As I reported yesterday, Lisa and Danielle were
told that Monday would be a busy day in the BB house. Now what
could they have to do? The game is over. As I've also
said, we were told there might be one more twist. Now lets
look at this: The voting process has the jury of evicted HGs
watching Lisa and Danielle on monitors, but they do not get to see
the jury. Each evictee gets a set amount of time to question
Lisa and Dani, and they get to reply. Now here's the important
part: Last year each HG got to veto one vote. Kind of a
silly process, as they each just cancel out an even amount. So
I'm wondering if this year, they aren't coming up with some kind of
"Platinum" Veto challenge, where the winner get to take
off certain votes. Pure speculation, may not even make a
difference, but still an interesting consideration.
Tonya and Boyfriend Split: Norm Clark of the Las
Vegas Review-Journal reports that Tonya, "the much-dissed
Las Vegas party girl/dedicated mom, and her boyfriend David Lee have
split since her eviction from "Big Brother 3." Too
many arguments over her tawdry tell-all behavior on the CBS
show."
Saturday,
September 21, 2002: Lisa
Evicts Jason!
Lisa
& Danielle are The Final Two!
Tonight the
three part HoH challenge will conclude. The winner will select
the person they want to be with them in the final two. The HG
not selected, is evicted. It all happens live tonight on Big
Brother, 8:00PM ET.
Noonish:
The HGs got up early, but ended up in an outdoor LD until
noon. They played cards while BB worked in the house.
When the LD was over they got showered and dressed for tonight's
show. At 1:45 Danielle said it best, "There's a whole lot
of nothin' goin' on." Yeah, but it's going to be a hell
of a night!
2:00PM BBT: I've got to tell
you, these people must be going through hell, because I'm tense just
watching them. They're making small talk, playing cards and
chomping at the bit. The tension is so thick you can cut it
with a knife. Lisa says "It's like watching a pot of
boiling water." I'm not sure I get her simile, but it's
tough.
Jason Guy, the 25 year old, single
videographer from Mobile, Alabama came in third place, taking
home only the memories of 79 days in the Big Brother house
5:20PM BBT Julie Tells Jason He Won Round Two: Danielle
says she didn't throw it.
8:30PM BBT Lisa Wins Round Three! The
challenge had Lisa and Jason guess which evicted HG's remarks were
said about which of the three remaining HGs. Julie:
"Let's begin. Lori said of the three of you: One of you
is mysterious, one of you is funny and one of you is
polite. Who did she say was funny? Answers.
The answer is Danielle. You both get a point.
Next question: Amy said of the three of
you, one of you is precious, one of you is fertile, and one of you
is sweet. Who did she say is sweet?
I need your answer. The correct answer is Lisa. Lisa is ahead
by one point at this point in the game.
Chiara said of the three of you, one of you
is insecure, one of you is strong and one of you is
perfect. Who did she say is insecure? The correct answer
is Lisa. Lisa's in the lead by two.
Next
question: Roddy said of the three of you, one of you is soulless,
one of you is inexperienced, and one of you is uncertain. Who did he
say is soul-less? The correct answer is Danielle. You
both get a point.
Next question: Marcellas said of the three
of you, one of you is instinctive, one of you is attractive,
and one of you is guarded. Who did he say is attractive? The correct
answer is Jason. Lisa gets another point, taking a bigger
lead.
Next Tonya said, of the you, one of you is
conniving, one of you is sexy and one of you is fake. Who did Tonya
say is sexy? The correct answer is Jason. You both
got it right. You you've both got another point.
Next question: Gerry said of the three of
you, one of you is lucky, one of you is energetic, and one of you is
earnest. Who did Gerry say is lucky? Answer is Lisa. You
both get another point.
Josh said of the three of you, one of you
is overconfident, one of you is spineless, and one of you is
child-like. Who did Josh say is spineless? The correct answer
is Jason. Neither of you get a point.
Next question: Eric said of the three of
you, one of you is spontaneous, one of you I a pushover, and one of
you is beautiful. Who did he say is spontaneous? The
correct answer is Danielle. Congratulations, Lisa, you are in
the final two and most powerful HoH."
Lisa Evicts Jason-- Lisa told
Julie she at the top that she had made her decision. When she
won the challenge, Julie asked for her decision, and a teary-eyed
Lisa said Jason. Jason knew he was leaving, and wasn't the
least bit upset. He's said all along that it's more important
that Danielle win. Jason's mother and father were there to
greet him. Jason's mother cried the most at the sight of her
oldest son. Note: All three families were there, even Eric in case
Lisa got evicted.
After the Show Dani and Lisa were in
outdoor LD while the props from the HoH competition were taken
down. They talked, and Danielle told Lisa about the deals and
scheming she did to make it to the end. She sobbed when she
spoke of Jason and what he did for her. Lisa knew that Dani
had been plotting, and questioned her on how much she had been told
was truth, and what were lies. Lisa feels good that what she
suspected was really going on. She said that in the DR she
told them her suspicions and said, "you may think I'm crazy and
need to be in a straightjacket, but this is what I think is going
on..."
Reality Sinks In Lisa just realized
she'll be getting the HoH room and a goodie basket. Danielle
just realized she's stuck feeding the lizards now that Jason's
gone.
Lisa listens as Danielle sobs that her boy
Jason won't win. BTW: Look at that face, she's not
only beautiful, but come Wednesday, she'll be wealthy too!
Lisa asks Danielle-- "If
things had worked out different, who would you have picked, me, or
Jason?" Danielle: "Jason." Lisa still seems a
little intimidated by Danielle, even though Dani keeps breaking down
and crying that her boy Jason won't win the game.
Danielle tells Lisa of the day, shortly
after Josh was evicted, that someone on the outside yelled over the
Big Brother compound wall "Don't trust Dani." Roddy
heard it and told her, we heard it on the live feeds too. Dani
also told Lisa that now that they're winners, they don't get the
stipend money for being on the show, they only get the prize
money. Lisa notes that she won the first HoH and the last!
Jason said he'd leave Danielle his hat, Danielle thought he forgot,
but she found he had put it in her bag.
Danielle: "Lisa, did you ever
have an idea of who you'd want to to be with you if you made it to
the end?" Lisa: "Yep.. it's really gonna freak you
out." Danielle: "Oh my God then don't tell
me.. alright tell me..." Lisa: "It was
you." Danielle: "At what point did you decide
that?" Lisa: "Before we walked into the
house."
8:15PM BBT Dinner is Served:
Lisa doesn't get HoH goodies because her term is less than a week,
but they both get a special dinner. They got steak and
lobster, Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and a six pack of
beer. Hmmm, that's a lot of libation, there may be something
to report tonight after all.
10:00PM BBT Lisa's been in the DR
for a long time. While Lisa's in the DR Dani starts to
decorate the memory wall with things in the house that represent the
evicted HGs. She talks to the pictures as she hangs items from
the hooks that once held their keys. Her kind words seem to be
sincere, and yet it could just be campaigning for votes, or maybe
she's cracking up under the stress. When Lisa returns, Dani
once again re-hashes all her alliances and plotting during the game.
Danielle asks Lisa if she's following it, and Lisa tells her,
"Yeah, I know all this, I'm just letting you talk. You
just need to relax. Take your fifty grand and go on
vacation."
"I'm dreading seeing Eric...
It's that whole flirting thing, I don't know how he'll feel about
that."
Friday,
September 20, 2002: HoH
Competition
Round 2
Lisa won round one last
night.
Today's Winner Will be Revealed on Saturday's Live Show!
Early AM: So how's Jason Feel That Danielle is Pledged to
Lisa? Oh, he's fine with it. I think Danielle was
sincerely upset that she sold him out, but Jason's fine with it
because he wants her to win, and understands the pain of the
challenge that caused her to break. Jason's still hopeful that
he'll win the rest of the challenges and be able to be in the final
two with Danielle. So what's Danielle told Lisa about Jason?
Oh, nothing at all. Jason's still hopeful that he'll win the
rest of the challenges and be able to be in the final two with
Danielle. You can't tell from the clip that both of them were
crying through most of the conversation. And what caused Jason to
screw up in the first round? He saw something in the sky, well
they all saw it. He said it looked like missile being
launched, it was like nothing they've ever seen before. JASON
AND DANIELLE LAY IT ON THE LINE
11:00AM BBT The Kids are Up-- BB won't say when round two
will be, only not too late, not very early. I'm thinking
around 1:00PM BBT, but my record on guessing these things isn't very
good. Danielle's still planning on throwing the contest today
so that Jason will win, but she's not feeling well from last night,
so if it's a physical challenge she may not have to fake it.
1:00PM BBT HoH Round Two! The feeds have been FotH
since 11:15AM. I doubt they'll show the event, but I'll post the
results as soon as they're in. 2:30PM It's Over!
The feeds returned at 2:30PM and we're waiting for a HG to
comment... Lisa and Danielle are selecting their libations for
the evening, they selected beer. Jason's feeding Godzilla and
Rodan. The challenge was, at least in part, based on HG
trivia, memory and speed. Jason was called to the DR and asked
BB to take Danielle instead, BB complied, leaving Jason and Lisa
alone. It was an odd scene. Neither were talking much, the
both seemed nervous and uneasy. They talked about tomorrow's
live eviction, and Jason said he'd have to get his bag from the
storage room to pack. OK Gang, Here's What Happened:
They competed in a timed contest. Each guest competed alone,
and apart from each other. So when the contest was over, we
didn't know, and the guests didn't know who won. We'll all be
told at the same time, Saturday at 8:00PM ET, 5:00PM PT.
Danielle and Jason compete
in a contest of household events and chores
Arrange the
pictures
Make and eat a
PB&J sandwich
Do the laundry
Find the pictures
in the pool
Arrange them in
order
They had a total of six tasks that we had to complete within
seven minutes. First they had to go to the memory wall, and put each
evicted houseguest in chronological order in which they were
evicted. The second task was to a piece of laundry, then make and
eat a PB&J. Next go to station four and it was put in
chronological order, the houseguests that received the power
of veto. From there you had to collect the pictures from the bottom
of the pool and place them in the correct chronological
order of who held the house of household. Within the
seven minutes, Danielle successfully completed three
tasks. And Jason, completed four tasks in the same
amount of time, which means that on Saturday, Jason, will
compete against Lisa for the final H.O.H.
3:00PM Say Goodbye: As Jason was about to go to the
DR, Danielle told him, "You better take some tissue when you go
in there." Jason: "Why?" Danielle:
"Because they'll ask you to record your goodbyes."
This was the first confirmation they received that it'll be their
last night (all three) in the house together. While Jason was
in the DR, Lisa grilled Danielle on the contest, trying to get a
bead on who won. Danielle gave her no false hopes that she
won, nor did she indicate that she didn't do well. At this
point, Danielle really doesn't know if she gave Jason enough of a
break. We do know it wasn't a tie, BB told them in the event
of a tie, the challenge would have to be repeated.
Tomorrow's Challenge: BB has instructed the HGs not
to move the furniture. This is an indication that the last
part of the HoH challenge will be indoors.
End of the Day: They eat dinner, the girls drank
some wine. They sat in the hot tub and chatted about their
hopes and dreams for the future, all the people they miss, the
cast party, and checking out the web sites to see what we've
written. It's somewhat melancholy, in the house, the planning
and scheming is over, these three people really like each other, and
tomorrow one of them will be leaving. It's been both a
mentally and physically challenging two days and they're planning to
go to bed soon.
Thursday,
September 19, 2002: Amy's
Live Eviction & HoH Competition
THIS IS
BIG!: Tonight's show is a pivotal point in the Big Brother
game. The winner of tonight's HoH competition will choose the
person to sit beside him/her as the final two. There may be
surprise tonight, there's a rumor the competition will be in stages,
and not end tonight. All we can do is watch, and expect the
unexpected.
Miscellany: Jason got a camcorder to play with in the
Big Brother house. Dani's key is missing from the wall
today. As HoH, Danielle get laundry service, and the service
lost her laundry. During last night's video, Lisa saw Eric
kissing Tonya, she's still talking about it today. Amy got up around
12:30PM and Jason started video taping her. She told him she
didn't want him to tape her because she didn't have make-up on.
So what about the 50,000 people with live feeds? By 4:00PM the
HGs had picked out their clothes for tonight show, and are all primped
and ready to go.
6:45PM BBT: Amy is Evicted (Again)-- Jason cast
the single vote that took Amy out of the game. my was greeted by her
mother and her dog Bucky, who promptly peed on the floor at the sight
of Amy. AMY'S
EVICTION
HoH
Competition: This will be a three stage HoH
competition. Part one is called "HoH Lifeboat"
they took their keys and got into lifeboats (rafts). They
paddled to a nomination box in the center of the pool, inserted their
keys, and told not to let go. This is an endurance test.
The last guest hanging on to their key, wins this first part of the
HoH competition. Julie: "It's just a matter of days before
we crown the winner of big brother three. Join us for a special live
edition this Saturday at 8:00 Eastern, 7:00 Central to find out
who wins this pivotal head of household competition. That person
will immediately evict one of their housemates and the final three
will become the final two." What the HGs don't know,
is that BB has rain jets over the pool, and at 7:00PM BB turned the
water on. Jason yelled "Oh that is sooo cold" when the rain,
thunder and lightning started. The HGs have cups in their rafts
to bail the water out. And guess what, they blocked out the
feeds! The feeds returned and at 7:20PM the rain turned into a
monsoon.
7:45PM
BBT Jason's Out! Jason got out of the pool. They blocked the
feeds for a couple minutes, so we didn't see what happened, but after
a warm shower he was heard to remark, "I can't believe I took my
hand off that key." At 8:10 the girls were still hanging on
and Danielle announced to world, "Well I just peed, I'm peeing on
CBS." That's a keeper, I think it's a better slogan than
"Welcome Home." Jason heated some soup and went out by
the pool to keep the girls company. BB continued alternating
between rain, monsoon and no-rain. By 9:00PM you could see that
the girls were cold and tired. 9:30PM BBT, Still in the pool.
After a 30 minute storm, Jason came out again to see how they
were doing. "Great," answered Dani. I don't
think the girls appreciated Jason's words of encouragement, as he
stood by the pool, warm, in dry clothes, slurping up hot soup.
Keep your eye on the prize and
your hand on the key.
I Think Lisa Knows-- She's never been sure where she stands
with Danielle in terms of the final two, I think she knows now.
If it was Dani's intention to be in the final two with her, they could
have made a deal to get out of the pool, but they didn't. As the
rains poured down again, the girls bailed out their little rafts with
measuring cups. There was hardly any conversation between the
girls as of 10:00PM. By 10:15 the temperature was down to 65°,
and they started talking about Jason being in the house, rested (for
tomorrow's challenge) and warm. At 10:20 BB turned on the wind
machines and more rain. Jason lit a fire on the patio grill and
ate chicken while he watched his soggy housemates. At 10:45PM
Dani asked BB Chris what would happen if they both took their hands
off at the same time, there was no response. Lisa tells Danielle
she's been thinking about her and Dani in the final two ever since she
found out about Chiara voting against her. It would be her and
Dani, because she's never talked to Jason about the game. So she
doesn't know?
11:15PM: LISA WINS ROUND ONE! Lisa promises Dani she
will take her into the final round, Danielle gives up challenge.
Big Brother hasn't told us or the HGs when round two will begin
tomorrow.
They had interviews with four of the evicted house guests:
Lori: Lori was surprised that Eric voted her out.
Tonya: On the subject of Dani, "She had to be the most
conniving and deceitful person. "
Eric: He was happy to see his family again. Was
suspended for two weeks.
Roddy: Really has issues with Danielle. EVICTEE'S
INTERVIEWS
In Reality News Today:
E! Online Reports that ABC is going to a new
reality series, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! It's
very much like "Big Brother." The
15-episode series, which might as well be called "Who Wants
to Torture a Washed-Up Celebrity," will pit stars against
the elements in a remote location, feed them meager daily
rations and tape it for star-struck viewers to enjoy.

Wednesday,
September 18, 2002: Tonight
on Big Brother
Tonight at 8:00PM ET: Tonight
on Big Brother: See the "Surfs Up Luxury Challenge,"
Jason and Amy go on their cruise, and Lisa Wins America's Choice and
chats with Eric and her fans. And be sure to watch Amy's
eviction, and the new HoH challenge on Thursday at 9:00PM ET, a Live
Broadcast.
Noble Jason & Danielle: Jason says that if Lisa wins
HoH he is voluntarily exiting so Danielle can get in the final two.
Dani says "no," she wants Jason and Lisa in the
final two. Dani says she brought Lisa along because she can live
with Jason or her in the finals. "Plan 'A' is you and me in the
finals. There is no plan 'B.'" They say that the only
option is for them to get to the finals together. They will try
their hardest to win HoH.
4:00PM The Great Cake Experiment: The house guests donned
their blue aprons and attempted to bake a cake from the ingredients
they have in the house and NO recipe. This wasn't a BB challenge,
just something they wanted to see if they could do. They used
butter, oil, sugar, eggs, flour, oatmeal, apples, pancake mix and
milk. Having more batter than pan, they also used a cupcake
pan. As it baked, Danielle noted that it smells like cake, in
fact they all remarked how good it smelled. Tonight is their
catered Japanese dinner, this will be dessert. If it fails,
perhaps they could leave their hand and footprints in it and use it
as part of the backyard patio. By 4:45PM the muffin cakes were
out of the oven. The verdict: Yummy.
The HGs watch themselves, and
those departed in various competitions.
Dinner at 7:00PM: The Japanese dinner arrived at
7:00PM. At 7:45 BB told the HGs more about their video for the
evening (the home viewers got more FotH) and the HGs popped cord for
the event. They got a highlight reel of their competitions in
Big Brother. They saw the slime tank, Hawaiian Luau, the
brownie eating contest, human bowling, the Sheryl Crow
concert (almost in it's entirety) and other magic
moments. They laughed their asses off at the antics of
themselves and HGs evicted so long ago.
Big Brother Rocks in
Nielsen Ratings! Big Brother is
having it's best ever season on CBS. CBS was a strong second
place for the week in adults 18-49 and edged out ABC for the
lead in adults 25-54, boosted by best-yet numbers for "Big
Brother 3," two episodes of "CSI"
and a substantial turnout for the encore telecast of its
"9/11" documentary. CBS won the
Saturday night 8:00PM ratings with its best Saturday numbers
yet, 7.34 million viewers, 2.8/10. On Thursday "Big
Brother 3" hit a new high with 10.62 million viewers,
5.1/15 rating in the valuable 18-49 age group.
Tuesday,
September 17, 2002: Nothing
Scheduled Today
Early AM: The HGs are
all asleep after another busy day. Just when things started to
get dull last night, BB gave the kids some wine and got things going
again. Teetotaler Jason was a good sport to the girls sex talk
and cries for attention. When I tuned in to the live
feeds, Jason was tossing and turning in bed. I wonder what's
making the 25 year old virgin so restless?
HGs
Sleep Late: No wake up call from BB today, and Dani was
the first up at 11:40AM, the others are still sleeping. Lisa's next,
then Jason. The Southern Belle didn't get out of bed 'til
1:15PM, but she wasn't feeling well. This is to be a day of
relaxing, tanning and mental prep for the big HoH competition on
Thursday. After a day in the sun, Jason used up the rest of the film
in his camera given to him for Sunday's cruise. Dinner
tonight was surf-and-turf, and another bottle of wine.
Something to Do on Wednesday: Tomorrow the HGs get
to watch some video, they're hoping for a movie and popcorn, but
they will get an Ericson cell phone and a free year of service.
