Saturday, June 18, 2016  New Production Talent From BB Canada
I've been told, but unable to confirm, that a competition producer from Big Brother Canada will be contributing to this season of Brother Brother USA. Trevor Boris has been responsible for some of the creative design of the competitions on BB Canada and is the alter-ego of Marsha the Moose, Canada's answer to the Zinbot 3000.  When not thinking up ways to torture BB houseguests, Boris performs stand-up comedy, and had his very own Comedy Now! standup special air on CTV and The Comedy Network, was the runner-up in the 2006 Great Canadian Laugh Off.

This is one rumor (or "rumour" as the spell it in Canada) that I hope is true; I'm a big fan of his work.

Thursday, June 16, 2016  See the Big Brother 18 House!

Houseguests Will Live in a House That Celebrates Travel and the Best Summer Vacation Destinations

Features Include Exotically Themed Bedrooms and Living Areas, Plus a Completely Redesigned Backyard With a New Pool, Hot Tub and Gym Equipment

New Weekly Competition to Be Unveiled During the June 26 Episode and Robyn Kass says it's not a BoB!

Big Brother 18  announced that the theme of this season's house is "summer vacation," showcasing design elements and decor that celebrate travel and the best summer vacation destinations. The house features exotically themed bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, plus a completely redesigned backyard with a new pool, hot tub and gym equipment. Big Brother 18 debuts with a two-night premiere event, Wednesday, June 22 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), and Thursday, June 23 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. In addition to twists being revealed during the two-night premiere, a new weekly competition will be unveiled in the first Sunday episode, June 26 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).

"We are loving how the house theme plays into the twists and turns that the Big Brother 18 Houseguests will face this summer," said Allison Grodner, Executive Producer, Big Brother 18. "I don't want to give too much away, but there are quite a few things in the house that are more than just decorations."

"This season we're creating the craziest summer vacation ever inside the Big Brother 18 house," added Rich Meehan, Executive Producer. "It's going to be 99 days of twists and turns, with a few secrets along the way. But we're most looking forward to those moments that even surprise us...because it wouldn't be Big Brother 18 without unexpected 'showmances,' meltdowns and blindsides."

As with any great vacation, the Houseguests will start their summer of fun in an ultra-modern air terminal/living room where a "Departures" sign lists the exotic destinations featured throughout the house. The air travel theme continues in the kitchen, with an island built from the cowling of a 727 jet engine, and souvenir-themed plates, glasses and snow globes. In an African safari-themed room, Houseguests can lounge inside a "glamping tent," then "travel" to the bustling Shibuya section of Tokyo with its pop-art graphic mural and neon signs, and to London with its cobblestone floor and Union Jack fabric in the bedrooms. A bright yellow and red phone booth serves as a passageway between the Tokyo and London rooms and has a working phone that connects callers to the Head of Household suite. The patterned textures and bright colors of the Caribbean-inspired bathroom brings the beach indoors for the Houseguests.

Upstairs, the HOH suite is themed Honolulu, Hawaii, with a laser-cut hibiscus room divider, Tiki pilasters and a headboard built from a massive saltwater aquarium, with seven tropical fish, one for each of the seven seas. Also, this season's chess set is custom built with 3D-printed scale replicas of famous landmarks in Chicago and New York City.

Finally, a redesigned backyard celebrates U.S. national parks and features a new pool, a hot tub and gym equipment.

Following the two-night premiere, Big Brother 18 will air Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), beginning June 26; Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), beginning June 29; and Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) beginning June 30, featuring the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen.

There are more pictures from the house, and you and post your comments, in this post in the forums.

Friday, June 10, 2016  Big Brother 18: A Coached Season
The website reality blurred's Andy Dehnart has confirmed the rumored Big Brother 18 casting twist— the return of coaches— and has new additional information about it, along with details about another casting-related twist.

First, the information that has been revealed so far, by the spoiler known as Corner Office (and reported without attribution elsewhere), is as follows:
A cast of 10 new players, four returnees, and two others the returnees are two men, two women, the returnees come from seasons 14, 16, and 17 the other two cast members “share a distinct secret.”

Dehnart added the following: the identity of the four returnees, and also the secret shared by two of the players.

First, of the non-returnee contestants, all 12 are new to the game, but two will have a connection. They will not be twins, however. Instead, reality blurred reports that they’re siblings, most likely of former players (and perhaps of the coaches, although this has not been confirmed). Whether they are each other’s sibling or just each happen to be related to a previous houseguest also is not yet clear.

The four coaches who will return this season:

Audrey Middleton, Big Brother 17, 14th place
Derrick Levasseur, Big Brother 16 winner
Vanessa Rousso, Big Brother 17, third place
Ian Terry, Big Brother 14 winner

The coach twist was first introduced in Big Brother 14 four years ago, and included the predictable turn of having the coaches enter the game, though in true Big Brother fashion, it was done in the most unfair way possible. The season recovered from that, however, and had a satisfying conclusion.

How exactly the coach twist will be framed this season—it may be called something else—and whether or not the players will enter the game now or in the future, is not yet known. But with a cast of just 12, and a season that lasts until mid-September, it would make sense for the four coaches to enter and/or be playing the game.

Dehnart further reported that earlier this week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the future houseguests were “surprised” with their keys in their hometowns. They should be in Los Angeles by today.

Thursday, June 9, 2016  Calling All Live Feed Viewers!
Morty Wants You!  With each new season of Big Brother, the number of live feed updaters seems to decrease.  As most of our readers know, I am no longer to able to devote the time required to cover the live feeds, and the updates you read here are written by volunteers.

Here's how it works: Fans (that's you), watch the live feeds, you write down what you've seen, in a message thread in the TVFanForums.net, and then I copy and paste it onto this page, while making some spelling and grammar corrections. You don't need to transcribe conversations, but you can watch, then write about what you've seen, like you were telling a friend about what they missed.

Easy, right?  To post in the forums, you need to register.  It's one of the easiest sign-ups on the web, and I don't give your email address to spammers.  The forum is set up so I can send out a newsletter, but in 10 years I've never gotten around to it. So click here to register.

Then there's a second tier to our coverage, Facebook and Twitter.  We keep Twitter and Facebook updated using our own special web page interface, that posts to both sights. The crew that does that are called TFU (Twitter/Facebook Updaters); we need a bunch of volunteers to do that too. Our Social Media Director, Fuskie, is in charge of the scheduling and and orientation the TFU crew. For more information on that aspect, please click here.

One frequently asked question is: "Do I need to buy the feeds to update?" A: "Yes." I do not provide the feeds, nor do I pay for them.  Anyone that wants a front row seat to watch what really happens in the BB house, needs a CBS All Access account. Of course you are welcome to post live feed updates in the forum by watching Big Brother After Dark, which airs on Pop TV.

Wednesday, June 1 2016  Sneak Peek Pictures Leak!
Today, ET host, Kevin Frazier, posted a gallery of pictures from the Big Brother 18 house, on his Facebook page. This must have been a mistake, because the were hastily removed, but not before all the Big Brother fan sites re-posted the pictures.

Click any thumbnail for a slideshow.

The theme of the house is world travel, as it was in BB15.  The airplane wallpaper looks familiar, but the real beach sand floor in the bathroom is completely new and one of the silliest ideas ever.  The backyard has new artificial turf, and a new pool/hot-tub combo.

What Next?

On Tuesday, May 24th, past houseguests Britney Godwin, James Huling, Will Kirby, Janelle Pierzina, Rachel Reilley, Da'Vonne Rogers, Jeffrey Schroeder and Ian Terry were featured along with television host Julie Chen in a special "Big Brother"-themed episode.

March 28, 2016 - Right now I'm covering Big Brother Canada, and as usual, it's a hoot, I just wanted to remind Big Brother USA fans that there's still time to audition at an Open Casting Call

Speaking of Big Brother Canada... Are you following it?  It's easier than ever to watch it in the USA, and not just the TV broadcasts, you can easily watch the free live feeds too. Details are here.

Big Brother 18 starts with a two hour premiere on Wednesday, June 22nd. The next episode featuring a live eviction follows on Thursday June 23rd.

It's Thursday, September 24, and The Talk is Live. Highlights for today's show are shown. The hosts names and pictures are shown, and then they come on stage to sit at the brown table.

Julie Chen welcomes everyone to The Talk. She starts with Blake Shelton speaking out for the first time with his divorce from Miranda. She says, Blake said it happened so fast in Oklahoma that it was over in 9 – 10 days. She says, Blake said they are still friends and buddies. Julie asks if you can still be buddies with someone while divorcing them. Sharon Osborne says, she doesn't think she could, be she knows there are people that are and she admires them.

Sharon applauds that they can make it. Aisha Tyler says, they don't have children to worry about. Sara Gilbert says, 99% of the people go through the trenches and if they weren't they wouldn't be breaking up. She says, once everything goes away they can become friends. Sheryl Underwood says, some couple end up being better as friends. She jokes about different types of buddies, Nutty Buddies and Bosom Buddies. Everyone laughs.

Julie says, she believes that they are buddies because they had everything spelled out and they didn't have to drag it out in court. Aisha says, they were only married for four years and they still have their whole lives ahead of them. Sheryl says, you get the truck and I get the dog.

Julie talks about Sarah Jessica Parker having controversy over needing a tread mill to use before shooting a movie several years ago. Julie asks, "Have you ever been insulted by a gift?" Sara says, when I got cheese and sausage I was offended. Sheryl says, she wouldn't have signed for it, but if I knew it was a treadmill with a gift receipt, I would have taken it back where it was purchased.

Julie says, when Peter Dinklage heard his name called for winning the Emmy for Game Of Thrones he spit his gum in his wife's mouth. They show the video clips and he admits to have been chewing gum. Julie asks if you would chew your partners gum? Sharon says, she's chewed so many body parts. Aisha says, gum is the least disgusting part you've chewed on.

Julie says, some people use gum to clean out their mouths. She says, if you take their gum, you're taking a ball of bacteria and plaque. Aisha says, when you kiss you're doing the same thing. Aisha says, his wife took one for the team. Julie says, he did. Sara says, she's charmed by it. Sheryl says, she hasn't chewed gum since the eighth grade. Julie says, "We'll be back."

Julie comes back from the break and talks about a Period Doll causing controversy because it comes with it's own feminine napkins. It's supposed to be a fun way to explain the period cycle for kids. It comes with underwear, a calendar and 18 stickers that look like pads. She says, it's supposed to be a fun way to teach kids about the menstrual cycle.

Julie asks, "Do you think the period cycle is a good idea?" Sharon says, she wants to throw up from her reading that. Sharon says, she wants to call the period police and she thinks it's disgusting. Aisha says, she totally disagrees and they have other stuff to teach girls. She says, some girls start to get their periods around 10 years old. She says, they should have boys play with it for 28 days, and then not for three days, so they know how real life works.

Sharon says, then they will have to come up with a G.I. Joe doll that masturbates, because that's what boys' do. The audience goes crazy. Aisha says, wait a minute, it's not the same thing. Sheryl says, "Mrs. O, you'd have to make a Sheryl doll, because I do that to." The audience cheers, claps and laughs some more. All of the hosts are laughing as well.

Aisha says, menstruation is not sex. Sara says, the doll looks like a lesbian, and she almost wore that shirt. Aisha says, you can teach girls a lot from this girl. Antigoni weighs in from home, saying that girls don't need this, and what's next a boy with condoms? Sheryl says, there used to be a doll to pour the water in for it to pee, so what do we pour in this one? Aisha says, Baby Alive has had everything.

Julie says, "Call me crazy, but happened to just talking to your daughter?" She tells everyone to follow them on Twitter, and says, "We'll be right back."

Julie says, they are laughing at their seven foot stage manager. She says, think about leaving a bad Yelp review or you may have to pay up. One woman left scathing reviews calling a company owner a liar and a scammer. She put that the owner destroys your property. Julie says, the owner of the company took her to court for Libel, and he won. She now has to pay $1,000 because her words crossed the line.

Julie says, the woman said that people leave reviews all the time and they should be able to say what they want. Sharon says, especially in this county, you have freedom of speech. Aisha says, everyone knows what Yelp is, and you should take everything with a grain of salt. Sara says, she agrees, but what if he didn't do something wrong and she could be costing him business. Aisha says, they should look at all of the reviews, not just one.

Sharon says, there was someone that charged her three times the amount it was supposed to be for electrical work. Sharon says, people need to do their research because he was a scammer. Julie tells everyone to remember to set their DVRs so they don't miss their show. She says, "We'll be right back."

We see highlights from Steve Moses winning Big Brother 17 last night. Julie says, that was the biggest moment of Big Brother 17 last night. Julie welcomes Steve, after being in the house for 98 days. Sharon congratulates him on winning $500,000. Sharon asks him what he's going to do with the money? Steve says, "Winning wasn't part of the equation, so I have no idea."

He says, "He'll be careful and not spend it all." Sara asks him if being a BB super fan helped him win? Steve says, "Definitely, it helped me get through the game." He says, "Vanessa can talk her way into anything." He says, it really did help him.

Julie says, he made the ultimate decision to evict Vanessa and asks if he asked her why she voted for Liz? Julie says, he won 6 – 3. Steve says, he would have voted for her 100%, and they can separate their personal feelings from the game. Sheryl asks him what he missed most from home being their 98 days? Steve says, when you're at home you have people that support you, and in the house he only communicated with people in the house that wanted him to fail. he missed his family, because they are the most important to him is harder than he thought it would ever be.

Julie congratulates him and tells him to enjoy spending the money, and to pay his taxes. Up next is Pauley Perrette from NCIS. We go to commercial.

Sharon says, this week more than 18 million people tuned into this week's Season Premier of NCIS. She says, it's still the number one show. We see highlights from the Season Premier. Sharon welcomes Pauley Parrette and Sean Murray. The audience claps to the NCIS theme song music as they hug all the hosts and sit down at the table.

They both say hello to everyone. Sheryl says, you and Pauley are very good friends off camera as well. She asks what the special gift is that she gave her. Sheryl says, it was alive. Sean says, Pauley is the animal rescue queen. Pauley talks about a cat she found and now there is another one he named Abby, and she with white, tan and black. Pauley says, they are following her around and he's rescuing them. Sharon talks about Pauley and her wonderful fiancé Thomas.

Sharon asks when he wedding invitation is going to arrive? Pauley says, she's been marching for years for Civil Rights. She says, when that day happened, she just sat still for hours. She says, she spoke at a rally for marriage equality rights. She says, she got a quote from someone at the rally that, "Just because we can doesn't mean we have to."

Sara says, you don't want to mess things up. Aisha brings up Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Julie asks how the show has evolved over 12 seasons? Sean says, there are always ups and downs. Pauley says, they aren't boyfriend and girlfriend anymore, and they helped each other. Sean says, they give advice to each other on the show for their current relationships.

Pauley says, she has great relationships with her ex's and she thinks you should. Pauley says, they broke up on the show and are good friends. Julie says, "Like Blake and Miranda." Pauley compliments Sheryl's hair and outfit. Pauley says, she has known John Crier for years, and how he always says, NCIS is such a great show. Pauley says, "True," and he plays Dr. Taft on the show. She says, he's their biggest fan boy.

Julie highlights Pauley's new cookbook, "Donna Bell's Bake Shop." Julie says, it's recipes from her mom. She thanks them for being there, and says, "We'll be back."

We come back with The Talk Tailgate. Julie says, tonight on NFL Football on CBS we will enjoy football. She introduces Celebrity Chef, Danny Boome. He is making Sausage and Pepper Popovers and Mac and Cheese Bacon Cups. Sheryl and Julia are helping to make tonight's comfort food dishes. Both dishes are a hit with the hosts, and the audience seems to like what they saw being made. Julie says, they will be back with a new take on S'mores.

We return with a spot to order tickets for the show, telling us to go to TheTalk.com. Julie says, there will be football on tonight on CBS and NFL Network. Stegall was arrested in Louisiana on Wednesday afternoon when cops spotted her and realized there was a warrant out for her in a neighboring town. Law enforcement sources tell us she allegedly filed a false police report against her ex-husband, claiming his house was unfit for their children. We're told her ex's pad was fine when cops checked, and that's when the warrant was issued. Police booked Stegall for criminal mischief and unlawful entry -- she allegedly tried to get into his crib at some point.

Back in Season 2 of 'BB' ... Krista got wasted and made out with housemate Justin, who then held a knife to her throat, and got booted from the show. Good times.

Thanks to all of my updaters, the people that really wrote this page: 6Borders, aarongru85, aggie2145, App, BBLuver, BBLurkerPlus, BBPixxilate, BigMDGirl, CaliforniaCowgirl, Cassondra0222, Cathy, Chipmonk220,  Cotizzle, Dade, DRG, daviesallison1, Drummer1, DYates, EmilyCaitlin, Fuskie, GeorgeCTV, Goldylucks, Granny, Grant1v, GwennyLou, Indymom78, JEDI, Jinx, JLIDIBBFAN, Kekila, kitten_200, kuzma, Machvail, Monadyan, NiteSlacker, Phortune, Pierceka, RosiesMom, Sassy2565, Sayre, SeaLilly, Theena, and Yaya64.

Every name on that list is a valuable cog in the wheel and if I left your name off, it was completely by accident, send me a PM and I'll add it.

Help Wanted:  Big Brother 4 Canada begins in February,  It's like BB USA, only with better houseguests. We had a lot of fun watching and covering the first three seasons of BB Canada, but many of our updaters are from the lower 48, we need updaters, some people to help with Tweeting, and so much more. If you live in Canada, or get Slice TV on your cable system, please let me know

There's another list of important people who's names are not mentioned.  They are the generous people that donate money to cover expenses. THANK YOU!   If you haven't donated, and maybe you're low on cash,  just come back for BB Canada or BB18 and help with the updates. If you do have a few bucks you can spare, here's how to donate.
