Amber, Cody, Devin, Donny, Frankie, Joey, Nicole, and Paola, will be the first houseguests entering the house and competing in the first HoH competition. Rumors Persist! [June 8 2014] With only 17 days before the start of Big Brother 16, rumors about possible twists and themes continue to run rampant across the internet. The belief that BB16 is going to be a "blood" season with some former HGs and their relatives, mixed with newbies continues to be prevalent. Rachel Reilly-Villegas and her sister Elissa Slater are still rumored to be in the BB16 cast. To contradict the rumor, another site is claiming that there was a press day on Friday, and Rachel was a host to the media. We'll know the facts about this soon when Julie gives the ladies of The Talk a tour of the house and the press day pictures and interviews come out. A newer rumor is that on the first night Big Brother will call each HG into the DR where they’ll be paired with another HG. They'll be teamed-up by random draw for the duration of the game. Each pair will be told they're the only pair, and they must keep their partnership secret. If the partners make it to the end together, they’ll the prize money will increase, maybe even double. [June 5 2014] The new season of Big Brother, which premieres on June 25, will finally be broadcast in high definition. Big Brother was the only regularly scheduled primetime program still shown in standard definition. The hold-up for the change likely had to do with how the show is shot. “It’s not just about swapping out cameras,” co-executive producer Rich Meehan told Vulture. “Everything had to be changed … and we couldn’t do anything that would jeopardize production of the series.”
Changes to the show’s production infrastructure needed to make the leap were so complex, they had to be rolled out in waves. A new digital post-production system needed to be built, installed, and tested. Per Grodner, “14 miles of HD cables” had to replace the old wiring that had run through the house. And finally, in the last phase of the remodel, new cameras had to be installed and made to work with the new digital central nervous system of the house. “We only had six months at a time to do [the changes],” says Brother engineering-operations supervisor David Crivelli. “We had to do a heart transplant,” even as the “patient” — the Big Brother broadcasts each summer — continued to pump out new episodes. CBS also points out that there will now be 76 HD cameras and more than 100 microphones. The additional cameras this season will double the backyard coverage for viewers. Big Brother Winner Dick Donato to Appear on Couples Therapy Season 5 [May 30, 2014] by Carson Blackwelder @ wetpaint.com After competing twice on Big Brother, Dick “Evil Dick” Donato is going to take his wacky personality to another reality show. The Season 8 winner will be appearing on Season 5 of VH1’s hit series Couples Therapy when it premieres on September 10, 2014. Dick and his girlfriend, Stephanie Rogness-Fischer, will be seeking relationship advice from Dr. Jenn Berman during three weeks of intense therapy sessions. -Read More - New Live Feed Viewer Powers [May 30, 2014] This year the Big Brother live feed subscribers extra power over the fans who only watch on TV. As before, you'll get desktop, tablet, and mobile device, and 24/7 access, which comes with with an asterisk that says, "To preserve the integrity of Big Brother, the feeds may be edited, delayed and/or blacked out on occasion at CBS' sole discretion. But in return, we'll now get bonus features including online votes that will effect the houseguests and possibly the game. Of course CBS is hoping that this will increase subscriptions to the live feeds, but it's also long overdue reward for us hardcore fans, because we are the ones that really know what's going on in the house. [May 28, 2014] The Canadian web site, The Nilsen Report, wrote that there's a rumor going around BB newsgroups that BB producers are looking for four former BB stars to act as coaches to the HGs in BB16. "So far, only two unnamed past winners have basically shown great interest to reappear pending negotiations on certain “perks” that they are requesting. One such winner was last seen on ‘The Amazing Race’ not too long ago, and the other has a scheduling conflict with his college which may (or may not) be cleared in time before the June 25th premier."

Enlarge] Before the start of BB14, there were a series of tweets from someone purporting to work at CBS, calling himself "The Corner Office." About half of what was reported was true and were genuine scoops, the rest, not so accurate. So for a brief period the lights were back on in the corner office, or at least that's what we're being led to believe... So here goes, RUMOR #1: The prevailing rumor is that former HGs will be
teamed up with family members, like they did on Survivor.
There could be some truth to bringing back some former HGs as the casting deadline was moved back last month, which could indicate that CBS wasn't happy the cast, which is what happened in BB14, and CBS told the Big Brother producers to add some familiar faces to the cast. One name on the list that looks unlikely to me is Aaryn. I believe the CBS was pleased with the ratings brought last season's controversy, but if seems doubtful that Aaryn would want to return after the beating her reputation from last summer's appearance. RUMOR #2: "House of Winners" This sounds like a great idea, except it can't be done. First, as amazing as Eddie McGee is, I doubt he could compete in the new physical challenges that were added to the game after his win. Dr. Will Kirby says he's done with reality TV, he says enjoyed it, but "has moved on." BB4 winner, Jun Song now lives in Belgium. Evel Dick moved to Ireland, and BB9 winner, Adam Jasinski, is doing time for selling drugs. Mike "Boogie" Malin loves the game and may need money, but I think it would take a LOT of money to get him back. BTW: Evel Dick tweeted the disturbing picture shown at left, saying he didn't know how he got that way. RUMOR #2: Big Brother All-Stars. This rumor comes around every season, and might have been bolstered this year by the CBS have a poll on the BB page asking if you'd want an All-Star season. BTW, 48% said they'd tune in for that, which surprised me, I always want fresh HGs. And while I'm spouting off my opinions, why is it that they can use the
same casting director for BB Canada and two seasons in a row BB
Canada had good casts, and BB USA hasn't had a good house full of HGs in
years? They say there's something like 25,000 that try out for Big
Brother, and they can't find 14 that we'd want to watch?  Big Brother 16 Starts June 25th

February 13, 2014 According to multiple reports, Big Brother 16 will NOT be an All-Star edition. These "reports" on other web sites are not based on any official word from CBS, just an assumption that since Robyn Kass is auditioning new houseguests, there will not be any former HGs in the house. The assumption is very plausible as in the last few seasons there were very few "stars" that the viewers would want to see again, and favorites from early seasons, like Dr. Will have moved on. However, the final decision is made by CBS, and after BB14 was cast, CBS felt the cast needed for be fortified with some former "Stars." Last season had very good ratings despite (or perhaps because of) all the controversy, so you never know what they're doing until the show begins. This season's theme could be: "Boobs, Bigots and Bedlam." On Feb. 11, 2014, GinaMarie Zimmerman, who was the second-place winner on the CBS reality show, tweeted her feelings were hurt after viewing a Reality TV Awards YouTube video that appears to be mocking her adoration of ex-fellow house guest, Nick Uhas, who also appears in the clip. of her dad’s passing, The caption simply read: "This is the last picture I
have with my Dad. The greatest man I’ve ever known. Never take your family
for granted,” later Aaryn posted image featuring
"A Cowboy’s Prayer." Fellow Big Brother houseguests and and have tweeted
their condolences. No information is available about the cause of death or when exactly Aaryn Gries lost her father. Aaryn stirred up a lot of controversy, which she apologized for, but during Aaryn's stay in the Big Brother House she often spoke of the love and respect she has for her father, Fans have been very quick to send their love to the Big Brother 15 houseguest in the wake of her father's death. Despite all of the drama that surrounded Aaryn Gries during her season, it must be consoling to her to know she has so many fans showing her love and support in this difficult time. LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Reality stars from CBS’ “Big Brother,” “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race” will guest star on the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful” beginning Thursday, October 24. Reality stars taking part include “Big Brother” houseguests Howard Overby, Jeff Schroeder, Rachel Reilly, Brendon Villegas and Elissa Slater as well as “Survivor” contestant Malcolm Freberg. Villegas, Reilly and Schroeder have also been contestants on “Amazing Race.” Villegas, Schroeder, Freberg and Reilly previously made appearances on “B&B.” The five “Big Brother” houseguests will appear in scenes in the soap’s Bikini Bar with series regulars Kim Matula (Hope) and Darin Brooks (Wyatt) on Oct. 24 and 25. For those of you that expected a new casting director, get over it-- Apparently CBS has no intention of changing the lynch-pin in the machine that brought in such impressive ratings for BB15. Robyn Kass has been casting Big Brother since 2002, and last year she took on the added responsibility of casting Big Brother Canada. Robyn Kass announced on Twitter that open call casting event information would not be released until March of next year. However, hopefuls can go ahead and start applying online right now. So get to work future HGs! "If they really want to give themselves a moral boost, they will go out of their way and make it public through an apology," said Columbus native Nick Uhas. "Or they can own it and say, 'This is what I said, and it made such a huge commotion in the media, I can now say this is actually a problem in the United States.' Andy Herren won Big Brother 15 this summer, and that earned him a big, fat check. Now Herren has shared a picture of him with his check on Twitter, and got a few chuckles in the process. Several other "Big Brother" stars will drop in for the special episodes airing in late October. "This is so exciting! A blessing!" Overby told TV Guide. "I got a call out of the blue from 'The Bold and the Beautiful' asking if I'd like to appear on the show.
