Nicole Gets Her Banner |
Nicole said she'd leave
if she didn't get a banner from her husband Jeff. She
came up with the secret code of the name of the company that
remodeled her kitchen. Today a banner flew over the
house: YOU N STAY TORMENT W FOR ME
CSI+ CSI is the cabinet maker that did
their kitchen, Nicole knew it was from Jeff. She spent
about fifteen minutes talking to the cameras in the diary
room, hoping that Jeff will see/hear it. There's
not much conversation going on, no one really likes each
other enough for chit-chat.
Nicole: [to Will] "Am I bothering you?"
Will: "No, not at all."
Nicole: "What a shame."
Quote of the Day: Will
on the subject of his last girlfriend:
"She dumped me. She said I didn't pay enough attention
to her, something like that.. I didn't really hear
because I wasn't paying attention." |

House Guests Get Company |
The
"Survivor" cast members, Jeff Varner, Alicia
Calaway, Sue "Trucker" Hawk and Gervase
Peterson were brought into the house today for a slumber
party to be aired Wednesday, September 5th at 8pm. The
Big Brother guests do not know how long they will be
staying. Hardy is very suspicious. He questions them
about why they brought only one bag and why they have so few
clothes. Gervase says they have other stuff and they were
told to reserve one week out of their time. Nicole
cooked a chicken dinner for all the guests and made
sangria. Will invited the guests to the hot
tub. Sue: "No thanks, I'm warm and dry and it
feels good." Hardy traded his waterbed to Jeff
for two cigarettes. Hardy asked the Survivors
how he should go about getting an agent. Alicia signed
with same agency as Tiger Woods. Gervase: "What
are you going to do when you get out?" Nicole:
"Fuck my husband!"
Jeff works for a TV station in LA
where he reports on Big Brother and interviews evicted
houseguests. Jeff always broadcasts his BB segments from The
Belly Lounge (Boogie's Bar). He's good friends with Boogie
and Shannon. He's also doing lots of one on one
time, and asking questions, especially of Monica, as
if he's gathering information for his show. Jeff
sent out a message to Bunky saying "Hi Bunky, I'm sorry
your not here. I was hoping to meet you. I saw
the weight lose it was great, you should have really shaved
your back." Will asks Jeff if he has met his
brother and Jeff says he has. Will is really thrilled by
it. Will says "So Shannon and my brother are
cool?" And then Gervase says "The last time I saw
them, Shannon and your brother were REAL cool."
Will is pondering this information.
Nicole asks Jeff if he's watched much of the
show, Jeff says "I've seen it all."
Jeff says, "When you get away from here Nicole,
you'll probably name your first child Will."
Nicole says, " I'm not having a first child. I'm
a person with feelings and compassion and he's an
android" Her face is stiff with contained
rage. "I wouldn't name my toe nail clippings after
him."
Frankly, the Big Brother gang were not very
good hosts. They were, at times, rude and
impolite. When Jeff said he had a waterbed when he was
a kid, and would like to sleep in one again, Nicole said
"You've got money, buy one
motherfucker." Hardy also made crude jokes
and comments that generated awkward silences. These
people have very few social skills. At one point
Nicole tells Jeff that she hopes to get her own cooking show
and Gervase warns her that she better start watching her
language if she wants her own show.
The Big Brother guests traded some clothes
and pictures with the Survivor guests. Sue offers
Nicole her hat. Nicole: "I don't want that!
Don't you have a shirt or something?" Sue offers her a
Tommy Boy muscle shirt and Nicole gives Sue a Hollywood
Harley shirt. Nicole wants Gervase's
shorts. Gervase offered her the shorts and then
decided against giving them to her. She jokingly
yelled at him. He threw her a t-shirt and she jumped on his
back and gave him a big hug. Will gave Jeff a picture
to give to Shannon of him and Bunky.
Monica: "The next three weeks are going
to be interesting."
Sue: "You think you going to be here?"
Monica: [Nods her head and quietly says] "Yeah!"
Quote of the Day: Nicole:
"I require a lot of physical contact. I'm afraid to
have sex when I get out of here, I haven't gone this long
without sex since I was 17"

Alone Again, Naturally and Then it Snows |
The
"Survivor" guests departed today at 11:30
(BBT). Hardy: "Are you showered and
fresh?" Jeff: "No, I didn't
shower." Hardy: "This is not Survivor,
we do have a shower here." Jeff: "I
don't take my clothes off for anyone's camera! I'm leaving
in an hour to go move so it doesn't matter."
Will: "One time we had to go in and operate to
get a vibrator out of dude's asses, it's nasty.... one time
it was a mag flashlight, we pulled it out and it was
on." Jeff: " Wait a minute, I missed
something here. You had to operate on someone to remove a
vibrator from his ass?" Alicia: "What's it
called when you put a gerbil in your ass? There's a name for
it?"
Hardy: "Fucked up?" The
scariest piece of information given to the houseguests was
from Jeff. He told them they're all being portrayed on
TV exactly as they are. I don't think Hardy and Nicole
were happy to hear that. Each Survivor was paid
$8,000 for staying in the house overnight. Hardy
discovered that Jeff hid his toothbrush. They all
hugged before leaving, Hardy: "It's still hard for us
to believe we are on a TV show." Sue: "It
was dropped long ago."
After the cast from Survivor left, the
HGs got their "America's Choice" prize today, a
snow storm in the backyard. The HGs had fun playing in
the snow for a few hours. |

Will Votes Out Hardy |
As
seen on live TV, Will voted Hardy out of the Big Brother
house, leaving himself, Monica and Nicole as the final
three. The final Head-of-House competition is in three
parts. Part one was shown on the live broadcast and
ended with Will winning, there are two more parts,
that will determine who will be the final HoH. This
HoH will select the housemate he, or she, wants sitting
beside them for the final vote by the evicted guests the
will determine the Grand Prize winner of the $500,000. |

Food Challenge & More |
 |
Disco
Inferno Enters the Ring
|
Last night the guests were trying to stump Big Brother
(John) with TV and movie trivia. John's pretty good,
he could start a web site...
While the guests prepare for their latest food
challenge--
I saw something I thought was interesting. Before
Nicole married Jeff, she went with WCW pro wrestler Disco
Inferno.
The challenge: The girls are excited, it's a
shopping theme! Will read directions: They each
get 2 baskets and get to fill 1 food basket, 1 luxury
basket. Then when their baskets are filled, they have to
hold the baskets out to the sides, and then keep it between
the height of their hips and their waists for 90
seconds.
If they hold the baskets
for 30 seconds longer, they get 1 more item for each basket.
Included are luxury prizes which are wrapped - some good
some bad. They all did very well, although
Monica didn't even try to win the extra item. They
took turns unwrapping. Nicole got a wallet, a
shirt, a mouse in a box puppet, something from
DiscoverKids, lava lamp-ish, a picture frame (she thought it
was the DVD player), the game "Whiplash" and a
large gold necklace, a bracelet, Monika got N'sync earrings,
semi-precious jewelry kit (ages 8+), a bracelet, a
party purse, a personal spa kit (lotions, candles, soap,
etc.), an electronic voice changer and a Palm
Pilot. Will got a glass ball with rocks or
something in it, a mini metal detector, Diva soap (he
thought it was going to be a digital camera "I already
got a metal detector, what else could a boy ask
for."), a stuffed Polar Bear ("this is for
all ages") and a toy car just like the one Kent won.
. He says the cash value of all his prizes so far is
$4.00. Will's last prize is something good, Nicole
attacks him, it's the DVD player. he is thrilled now.
Big Brother (Bill)
says "Congratulations guys, We had as much fun watching
you open the presents as you did opening them."
Nicole: "I never win anything on this fucking
show. Oops I swore. I'm such a loser. I need a Xanax."
After the challenge, a
banner flew over the house: "N2 WIN IF GOODY 2
SHOES/NO CUSS/4GIVE W" |
Sunday,
September 9, 2001:
A Quiet Day |
Although Nicole is still
unhappy, everything's calm today, not much happened.
Nicole went to the diary room where Big Brother (John) told
her to quit complaining, and she thinks that she doesn’t
complain much. This goes on, and Will finally says
that he hopes she realizes how fortunate she is to be on the
show. He says that they can stretch and hang out
today, and she can use his metal detector if she wants.
Monica and Will hang out in the backyard while Nicole
mopes in bed. They seem genuinely happy for each
other. When they finish a game of Backgammon, Will
goes to lay out. Monica is having a blast with her voice
changer. Later they made jewelry from the kit
Monica won in yesterday's luxury challenge. Will made
a bracelet for Big Brother (John).
Some banners:
“HAPPY N = WINNER / NO COMPLAINTS / CUSS”
“N CHILL OUT & WIN / STOP CUSSING”
“N HAVE MANY FANS – SMILE”
Nicole says that she has so many fans,
but they should quit wasting their money. Will says,
“Now that’s a nice banner.” |

Still Quiet, Dull Even... |
Everyone's
just hanging out, chillin'. Will's still talking
about him and Shannon getting married, I have no idea
whether there's any truth to it. Nicole is still
complaining about just about everything. Part of
the competition was completed today, what it was, and the
results are not being revealed. Live feeds only had
audio, that indicated it was a race, scavenger hunt / eat a
PB&J sandwich, etc.. It does appear that Monica
didn't do well. Keep in mind, it's a three part
contest, and she may have only lost the second part,
we'll know a lot more tomorrow. The winner of the HoH
gets to select who he/she wants with them for the final vote
by the evicted contestants. So there's no clear
winner, but Will's been heard whistling "Leaving, on a
Jet Plane." Part 3 of the HoH competition on
Thursday's show. Nicole's mod improved when they got
their supplies and she found Pam cooking spray, lighters,
whitening toothpaste, and red wine that she's exchanging for
white. "I don't drink white wine, you think they'd know
that by now. I don't get it." Will found
expensive hair conditioner (Aveda Cherry Almond Bark) he
says is $17 a bottle. |

Remember This Date? |
Big
Brother told the guests about today's news and treated them
to lunch from a sandwich shop. Monica was told that her
family is apparently fine, although a cousin was hurt and
taken to a hospital. Krista was in-route to the Latin
Grammys in LA when her plane was re-routed to Baton
Rouge.
"I have a bunch of close friends in New York,"
says Will. "Now it would be nice to send a 60-second
message home."
Nicole seems to be the least fazed by the day's events,
pausing long enough from complaining about how the onions on
her sandwich were cut too thick to offer the summation,
"That's just stupid ... We're the United
States."
CBS has not returned calls as to how the news will affect
the remainder of the game, which is scheduled to end on
Thursday, Sept. 20, although tonight's broadcast will not be
shown. |

No One Cares About BB on Day After |
Instead
of a daily re-cap, I've posted an interview with Nicole's
husband, Jeff. Click
Here. Monica was called to the diary
room. They have no news, but they wanted to let her know
that they are in touch with her family. They told her that
her well-being is more important than the game. (Monica's
cousin, Tam, is among this missing in New York). Will
says that they need some information on how to handle
themselves Thursday. They don’t want to talk about having
fun in light of the tragedy. Nicole says that she feels
disrespectful. She would be glued to the TV and
morning. |

September 13, 2001:
Still In Limbo After 9-11 |
Will was
asked to make a statement about the terrorist attacks and
was told Monica and Nicole would be asked to do the same.
"I've been told people out there are concerned we
haven't been told about these events. We've been told some
things; though not the complete story. We want to send our
prayers and love out to the families of the victims."
Will then told Nicole and Monica that they could watch a
bunch of DVDs and they could pick as many as they want and
they'd be able to watch them whenever they asked.
Will also said Big Brother told him tomorrow would be
a "Day of Remembrance." He said something like,
"I'm not sure how we are supposed to remember something
we don't really know much about but tomorrow's a 'Day of
Remembrance.'"
Nicole came out from her DR statement session. Will asked,
"How'd it go Nicole? Weird huh?"
Nicole responded, "I don't know just my usual five
minutes of rambling."
What's to become of the
Big Brother contestants?
Will was called into the diary room
and told that there may be no show on Thursday, and if there
is, the evicted houseguest would most likely not have family
members present. Nicole was quite upset at the
pre-emption, remarking that the terrorism will hurt their
ratings.
Meanwhile, CBS is contemplating ending
the game, taping it's conclusion for broadcast later.
My Take on This:
Viewers are writing a lot of really nasty stuff about CBS,
and the lack of details given to the houseguests. In
addition to my vast knowledge of television, I know a bit
about psychology too. To be held captive in the Big
Brother house, and have full details of the terrorism
committed in New York and at the Pentagon, would be
devastating to these people. Those of us with the
freedom to come and go as we please, watch the events of the
day, feel helpless. I know many people are out
jogging, walking, even shopping, right now just to
work off the mental strain of the images we've seen.
To give the people in the Big Brother house, the information
we have, without giving them the outlets we have, and
the comfort we get from our family and loved ones, could be
very damaging. I almost feel the houseguests having
been given a gift by being shielded from this grim
reality. CBS is doing the right thing.
Should the Game Continue?
Yes. President Bush has asked the nation to continue
with our lives. Not giving the terrorists the
satisfaction of taking away the normalcy of our daily
lives. After 36 hours of continuous
coverage, I feel I know everything I can about what
happened. I would appreciate seeing the return of
regular broadcasting, letting me know that life will return
to normal. The grieving will continue, this is
something we may never get over, but life, and even TV will
continue. |

Getting Ready for a Live Show |
As of
8:01 BBT, Big Brother (Tracey) told Nicole they were
good to go for the live show. They have been told that
there might not be family members there. Will says
that he can’t imagine doing an HoH competition and
pretending that it’s fun. (I don't see why not, they
pretend it's fun every other week). They are going to
rehearse at 2:00pm. The house guests have been
given some new games, and they've been playing Monopoly most
of the day. |

Big Brother Back On TV |
As you
can see, there's been a few days without updates, because
nothing is going on in the house. Will and Nicole have
been watching DVDs, Will's been playing with Legos®
and Tinker Toys®, so what
could CBS put on TV? They did, what I think, was a
great show with interviews with all the evicted house
guests. There were tid-bits in there that even I
didn't know. It's been easy to keep track of Bunky,
Kent and Sheryl, they done several live chats on www.elitestv.com,
but the others... The feeds were turned off when
Monica was evicted, so seeing the way Monica took it was
great, she has a lot more class than I gave her credit
for.
Now that
you've seen the interviews with the evicted house guests, do
you think Will will still win? I do. CBS has
done a good job of building suspense in a game where we've
got the spoilers from the live feeds. But Morty's money is
still on Will. |

Will Wins The Big Prize |
