If you have not seen tonight's season finale of Homeland, stop reading here, this story contains major spoilers.
The third season finale of Homeland left fans stunned as Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), was hanged for the assassination of an Iranian general.
So is Homeland over? The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that season four of Homeland is already being planned -- which means the show will go on, but without without Brody and without a few other cast regulars.
"Morena Baccarin (Jessica) and Morgan Saylor (Dana) will not return to the Emmy-winning drama as series regulars for the its fourth season," The Hollywood Reporter confirmed ahead of the finale. According to sources, the door is open for both actresses to return on a guest-star basis, the same way ex-full-timer Diego Klattenhoff (Mike) did this season.
It's hard to imagine the Homeland without Brody, but the show will continue, and with many changes.
Saul (Mandy Patinkin) isn't out of the running, and with Carrie having Brody's baby and taking on a new job (in Istanbul) there will be a lot of curious fans tuning in next fall.
