Help with Media Files
I regret that due to the large volume of mail I receive, I can not answer individual questions regarding problems you may have using this site.  New links and functions are tested and worked when they were added to the site.   If the link is to an outside site, I can't make any promises.  If you think there's a problem, please write.  Every attempt is made to correct errors, and support issues will be answered here when warranted.

Why won't the media files play?   [TOP]

Make sure you have version 9 or higher.

First, Windows Media PlayerTM is required to play the files on this site.  If you do not have it installed, click here to get it.  The most common problem with clips (audio or movies) is that Real Player has tried to take over the task of playing Windows Media.  The audio and video on this site is set-up for these files to be played with the Windows Media PlayerTM. So here's what to do:  Open Media Player, click on "Tools" and select "Options," and then the tab "File Types." You'll get this menu:

The formats: "Windows Media file (asf)," "Windows Media file (wma)," and "Windows Media file (wmv)" must be checked, and the background of the check box white, not shaded (shaded indicates another program is also available to play this type of  file).

Reviewers have compared RealPlayerTM to a virus that attempts to take over all media formats when it is installed or upgraded, this is usually the source of your problems

From the file menu, select "Open URL"

If you still have problems (like the wrong player opens) when you click on the link, you can manually paste the links into Windows Media Player.   Right click on the link you want to play.  Select "Copy Shortcut" from the menu.  Open Windows Media Player, click on "File" select "Open URL" place the cursor in the box and press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste the link into the box.

Click "OK" and the video or audio clip should begin to play in a few seconds.

Paste the URL into the box by pressing "Crtl" and "V," then click "OK."

On this web site, movie clips have this icon image  Clips that are only audio, have this icon in the link .  Audio clips have no picture, there's nothing wrong with your player.

Videos Look Crappy   [TOP]
They look bad because they are.  Videos are not cleared by CBS and are presented under the "fair use" provision of the copyright law.  This basically means, the video looks so bad, CBS doesn't care.  It also saves a ton of bandwidth.   To get the best picture, your player should be set to 100%.  Most of the videos are encoded to 160 by 120 pixels.  The blue box to the right is 160 by 120.  If you are playing the videos back larger than that, they'll look really, really awful.

The Sex Video Won't Play   [TOP]
Let me answer a couple questions here:  My ISP has very strict rules about sex content.  Language is not a problem.  Last year we just squeaked by with Amy's boob and Rod's butt.  This is why I'm only providing a link to the other site (which is very good).

If you have trouble downloading the file, try this direct link to the file, it's in Demark.  If the Dane site isn't available, try this site in the USA.

To play the movie:  The movie is an .AVI in a .ZIP.  Most windows computers already have software on them to open a .ZIP.  If you need help with your zipper, go here

Now that you have the .AVI file, your Windows Media player should be able to open it and play it.  If you get sound, but no picture, you need to upgrade your codec.  Download this.  This software is the divx media encoding software.  It's new.  When you upgrade your system by running the install, it will ask you if you want to install the player.  If you're happy with what you've got, don't install it.  Your old players should work with the new codec.

All this should be completely safe, but any changes you make to play these files is strictly at your own risk.

RealPlayer Issues?   [TOP]
I don't support RealPlayer and I don't like it.  The most common questions are: "How can I capture images?" and "The feeds are choppy and keep buffering."

Screen Captures:  To capture video you need a graphics program or capture software like Gadwin PrintScreen Version 2.0.  It's Freeware, you can download it from here.  Another more sophisticated method is a program called Snag-It from TechSmith you can download Snag-It here.  TechSmith also makes Camtasia  and Dubit, really good tools for capturing and editing.  Snag-It has a 30 day free trial, and is $39.95 after that.  Snag-It will allow you to capture motion from the streaming video and save it as an AVI.  Once you have the software,  open your  RealPlayer, click on "Tools," then on "Preferences," then on  "Hardware" Uncheck Video Optimized.  In some versions of the player you'll see a slide bar, slide it all the way over to the left, "Most Reliable."  You'll need to close and re-start RealPlayer.

Smooth Choppiness:  If you see this:  or   a lot, and the feed is constantly  breaking up --you can cut the speed down to solve this. Click on "Tools,"  select "Preferences" from the menu, select "Network Transport" and click to manually configure settings.  For both RSTP and PNA, uncheck everything except 'attempt to use http for all content.'

Link Does Nothing - Pop-Up Issues   [TOP]
This site uses small windows commonly pop-ups to display some content.  If you are using software that blocks pop-up advertising, you may be missing some of the content on our site.  If your software allows you to select sites that are safe to allow pop-ups, add "mortystv.com"  this site does not use pop-up advertising.

Flash Graphic Plug-In   [TOP]
This site uses graphics created for macromedia Flash.  You can download the player by clicking here.

Shockwave Graphic Plug-In   [TOP]
Frankly, I'm not sure if there's any Shockwave stuff here.  It's popular format and the plug-in is a quick and easy install.  Click Here

Where Can I Download a Show I missed?   [TOP]
The BBBBQ web site has links and instructions for downloading recent episodes using  a BitTorrent client and instructions for downloadinf older episodes and other shows using mIRC  Click Here for their web site, links and instructions.
