Roddy
Demands a Recount. I was looking through my hard
drive and saw a clip called "Al Gore." I couldn't
imagine why I'd have a clip of Al Gore, it wasn't Gore.
I had made this clip when they were re-counting the ballots
from the 2000 election. It just sounded appropriate for
Roddy's eviction, and it was really popular.

listed his occupation as "writer." But what
has he written? We'll I couldn't find anything, so I made up

Roddy's

August Roddy caught the cameraman off guard when he dropped

Although the clip is only 5 seconds long, everyone wanted to
see it.

Naked! Nudity sells. You barely get a glimpse of Amy

Saddam Sideline Big Brother 4? |
| Remember four people
forgotten in the Big Brother house when the terrorists
struck on September 11th 2001? With a war in Iraq
looming in the future, CBS may need to postpone Big
Brother 4. Big Brother 4 has the unique
distinction of being the only reality show that allows you
to watch live on the internet. Shows like "Survivor"
are taped weeks in advance. The outcome of the shows
are closely guarded secrets. Since Big Brother
wouldn't be the same without a live webcast, and no one
would want to watch a taped game/drama that already ended
and aired on the internet, the only option is
postponement.
Of course all of this depends on the state on world
events in late June. As it stands, CBS's official word
is that all systems are go for Big Brother 4. Pray for
peace, your TV viewing depends on it. |

February 21, 2003: Getting
Ready for 4 |
PRESS RELEASE: CBS
Greenlights Fourth Season of 'Big Brother'
CBS has given the go-ahead to a fourth season of the
voyeuristic reality TV hit "Big Brother," inking a
deal with Arnold Shapiro and Allison Grodner to stay on as
executive producers and show runners. Casting on
"Big Brother 4" will begin in mid-March, though
producers already have received roughly 2000 videotapes from
potential contestants.
The series, co-produced by Endemol USA, will air this
summer. CBS is still mulling how many times per week the
show will air and when it will debut. The deal with
Shapiro and Grodner locks them in for two more seasons,
though the second year is contingent on the series getting
renewed for summer 2004. "Early Show" co-anchor
Julie Chen is expected to return as host.
"('Big Brother') has become a huge franchise for
us," said CBS alternative programming guru Ghen
Maynard. "The show's a blast, and it's just so cool how
many twists and turns you can have on a show where things
happened just a day or two (before air time.)"
Shapiro said he and Grodner couldn't imagine not coming back
as producers of "Big Brother."
"We were honored that CBS asked us to do it," he
said. "And we will be coming up with new twists and
turns in the game to keep it fresh and exciting and
unpredictable." Grodner added that the basic
format of the show would remain the same -- a group of
strangers is confined to the inside of a house for a couple
of months, deprived of contact with the outside world, while
cameras and microphones record their every move 24 hours a
day.
Every week, a different "house guest" is kicked
out, with the last one left in the house winning a cash
jackpot. "It's not about messing with the
format," she said. "The challenge will be
mixing it up yet again with something that's unexpected.
It's a balancing act." "Big Brother"
has been one of CBS's chief summer tentpoles the past two
seasons, adding audience every year it's been on. The series
frequently won its time slot in the key demographic of
adults 18 to 49 last summer.
While this summer promises to be the most competitive
warm-weather season ever for broadcast TV -- with dozens of
new and returning reality formats set to bow --- Grodner
believes "BB4" will be able to compete.
"We had a steady audience that grew all last summer, so
I think people will be looking for it," she said.
Shapiro and Grodner have a busy development slate in the
works as well as two new reality shows set to premiere in
the coming weeks. "Family Business," which
follows a family-run adult-entertainment dynasty, premieres
Saturday night on Showtime before settling into its regular
Friday slot. And next month, the Shapiro/Grodner-produced
reality series "The Family" begins a multiweek run
on ABC, Tuesdays at 10 starting March 4. |

Auditions For TNN Reality Show |
| The
New TNN is looking for America's next breakthrough TV family
to star in a new comedy reality show. The network will host
an open casting call looking for a tri-state area family
this Sunday, December 15 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Shelter
Studios (939 8th Avenue, between 55th & 56th Streets) in
New York City.
The New TNN is looking for a local family to participate
in a new series tentatively titled "A Weekend Without
Mom." In the show, veteran improv comedienne Adrianne
Frost will join the family for the weekend and take
over running the household her way -- while the real
mom gets swept away for 48-hours of pampering and
well-deserved rest.

Pulls Together Celebrity Big Brother |
| CBS
couldn't pull it off in the USA, but Channel 4 in Britain
will begin their second edition of "Celebrity Big
Brother" starting on Wednesday. Their celebrities
aren't know to us in the states, but will include:
Gameshow host Les Dennis and Mark Owen, formerly of the
defunct boy band Take That. Just like the regular
version of the UK Big Brother, millions watch live on
television and over the Internet. |

Cancels Celebrity Big Brother |
| Yeah,
frankly I didn't think they could pull it off, they just
couldn't get any celebrities to do it.
Originally CBS thought they could get the likes of Ray
Romano on board. Then even "B" list
celebs, like Danny Bonaduce said they were tired of being
known for only doing "these types of shows." |

October 16, 2002: Chiara
Dumps Roddy for Mike Boogie |
In
Thursday's Star Magazine, the tabloid reports that Chiara
dumped Roddy for Mike "Boogie" Malin of "Big
Brother 2." Mike is friends with
Chiara's brother, although he never met her. Chiara
couldn't tell Mike she was selected for "Big Brother
3" before the show started, so they still hadn't
met. They met when Chiara's brother arranged to have
Mike drive Chiara to her DWI court case. By the time
of the wrap party, they were a couple.
BIG BRO 3 CONTESTANT LOSES GIRL TO
BROTHERLY LOVER
[Star Magazine] Boogie's no stranger to Big Brother
lovin'. He made fans gasp when he proposed to fellow BB2
contestant Krista Stegall on TV. The couple have since split
up.
Mancuso, meanwhile, was evicted from the show Sept. 5,
and immediately tried to track down Chiara. Of course,
Mancuso, a New Jersey-born writer who now lives in L.A.,
showed up at Belly. Harsh words were exchanged between him
and Boogie, and Mancuso was eventually kicked out of the
bar.

Other Big Brothers |
In
addition to the Hungarian Big Brother, that I wrote about here,
there's another BB show going on in South Africa.
There's only four HGs left in this game, in day 62 of 78,
it's in English, I think. I've heard they're having
sex, the feeds are free and use WindowsMedia Player. I
haven't seen the feeds, I've heard they're not reliable and
I've been unable to connect (maybe it's just their version
of FotH). You need to sign-up (free), and they'll email you
a a guide that tells what's been going on. CLICK
HERE
And
Wait, there's more! In Demark, Big Brother 4 is in
progress, day 32. No free feeds. Theirs
looks even sexier then the others. The site's in
Danish, and I assume the HGs aren't speaking English. After
you click on the live feed link, click on "GA NAAR LIVE
STREAMS".
And in Latvia, there's another Big Brother house, and I
can't figure out what's going on there. It looks like
the game is just starting, but I could be way off. The
feeds are free, also use WindowsMedia and I couldn't connect
there either. CLICK

September 27, 2002: Danielle
Answers Questions from EW |
EW: What was the
vibe like among the houseguests after the final taping?
Danielle: The vibe was very uncomfortable. What makes
me upset more than anything -- and I know this for a fact --
was that I wasn’t the only one who was brutal in the diary
room. I know I wasn’t, but they could be holding it
against me. I made it to the end and it could be jealousy, I
don’t know.

And EW also has a commentary titled: "Oh
Brother... Why the wrong person won the ''Big Brother''
dough -- If it wasn't Jason taking home the half mil, says
Dalton Ross, it should have been Danielle"

CBS
president Les Moonves announced there could be a celebrity
version of Big Brother as soon as October! They're in
the process of securing the talent for it, and promise these
will be real celebrities, and not the Danny Bonaduce-Barry

The

Danielle said her oldest daughter wasn't happy with her, but

Wins $500,000 on Big Brother! |
 |
|
Lisa Donahue, a 26
year old, single bartender from Los Angeles won the
Grand Prize of $500,000
on Wednesday, September 25, 2002
|
On Monday, September 23rd the evicted HGs taped a
group discussion and later asked Lisa and Danielle to defend
their actions and tell why they feel they should win. On
Tuesday the girls packed up their things and got ready for
their last night in the BB house. BB provided them
with a couple bottles of wine and played a clip reel of
challenge highlights for them. Today
started around 10:00AM for the girls with hangovers.
Over breakfast, Dani tells Lisa all about her freaky dream
with special guest star Michael J. Fox.
THE
LAST HUNG-OVER MORNING
At noon the evicted HGs rehearsed and took pictures in
front of the house. At 4:15PM Lisa's drinking a
Citrona while putting on her make-up, "I'm shaking so
bad I can't put on my eyeliner." Half hour to
showtime: Lisa: "I love you Danielle."
Danielle: "I love you Lisa. We just have to keep
loving each other a bit longer."
Lisa: "We're still in this together. We still have to
face them together." Danielle: "Yes we do."

It's Show Time! They started with the taped
meeting of evicted HGs. Tonya forgave Marcellas for
all the horrible things he said. On the other hand,
Chiara would not forgive Amy for her remarks. Josh
restated his admiration for the way Danielle played the
game. Chiara had a big problem with the way Dani spoke
of Roddy. Marcellas felt that Danielle worked people
on levels they shouldn't have been worked. Of course
her boy Jason stood up for her. Amy, as usual, had a good
line: "Liberace could never play the piano as well as
Danielle played all of us in that house. " And
she didn't say it as a compliment. Before the voting there
were DR style comments and opinions.
Eric questioned Lisa about why she didn't vote him back
into the house. She explained that she knew they
wouldn't let them both stay in the house, and she couldn't
stand to be pulled from him again. Lisa,
was asked by Gerry if she had made any mistakes. She
equated sitting next to Danielle as to sitting next to Will
from Big Brother 2. Marcellas had no questions, just
wanted to say he loved them both. Jason's message was
the same, only he did it with tears.
Lisa and Danielle made closing arguments. Danielle
said she's a good person outside the house, and hoped
everyone would forgive her for what she felt she needed to
do in the game. Eric told Julie that his opinion of
Lisa has only gotten better since leaving the house.
Roddy defended, once again, the way he played the
game.
The evicted HGs then put keys in the BB voting box to
cast their votes. They rang the doorbell and entered
the house to reveal their votes. Lisa answered the
door and were met by ten happy, laughing people. She
hugged Eric and he made everything all right, "I
couldn't be more sure your the one."

|
| My
Take on All This: |
| Why does everyone hate
Jason and Danielle? They came up with a plan, stuck to it
and made it to the end. Think back to Roddy in the DR
when he said "Jason isn't playing game, ...if
he's got something going, he's completely fooled me and
deserves to win the game." Well he did have
something going, and completely fooled you. Last year,
Will was far more evil than Danielle, and yet everyone voted
for Will to win, almost because he was evil. Oh sure,
he was funny and up against a bitch, but still, he was evil.
Danielle seems to have many virtues, she just didn't let
them stand in her way while playing the game. She's a
girl who gave her virginity to her virgin husband, how evil
can she be?
Now, what about all this talk about Jason not having any
balls? Oh sure, he's a virgin, doesn't even
masturbate, showers with his underwear on so no one will see
his goodies... but he did everything he needed to do to get
to the finals. He won competitions (won HoH and POV in
same week), and on live TV, cast the vote to evict
Marcellas, when it would have been so much easier to vote
Amy out. When he lost the first round of the HoH
competition, he directed Danielle to throw the second part--
Hardly the act of a "puppet" as so many call him.
He may not be Vin Diesel, but he had enough to to make it to
the end, and was smart enough to hide what he had.
When he was first introduced, I picked him and Marcellas to
be the first two evictees. When they showed the clip of him
in front of his church saying "I'm playing for a higher
power," I thought, "oh no, he's going to preach
and they'll kick him out." But he didn't
sermonize. He chose to preach his lifestyle by
example. I haven't entirely figured the kid out, but
I'm not going to dis' him because I don't get it all.
Now about Lisa: What a wonderful, yet naive
girl. In as much as I love her, wanted her to win, I
have to admit, she never could have done it on her
own. Danielle pulled her along, almost as much as she
did Jason. I find it funny that Eric doesn't like
Danielle. He should be kissing her butt, because it
was Dani that brought Lisa into the finals. Lisa trusted
everyone, and was shocked when she found out the others were
playing a game. You can't expect a girl who
never had barbecue before to be sly enough to play and win a
game like Big Brother. And Lisa, if you're out
there-- I love you, take this advice: Get out of
LA. You're just not ready for it. Go home to
Connecticut, date the fireman.
And what about the fireman: Eric's mistake was becoming a
couple, two ways. If they voted out Lisa instead of
him, he would have still been a couple (and a threat) with
Roddy. Now if they then voted out Roddy, Eric could
very well have won. Roddy warned him about becoming a
couple, then Roddy and Chiara became a couple. During
the first week, everyone in the house figured Eric would
win. He was the firefighter, young and
good-looking, but wait, when you see a winner that
early in the game, you've got eleven weeks to get rid of him
and make sure he doesn't win. He seems like a nice
guy, if he hooks up with Lisa, I hope he really is nice.
I'd really like to take a course from Roddy on
bullshitting. No, I really mean it. He was
fantastic. The only problem was, he had to do the same
enchantment over and over again. It's like watching a
magician that drops his pants, pulls the Queen Hearts out of
his butt and says "Is this your card?" Well
it's friggin' amazing, but if that's his only trick, he's in
big trouble. After the third or fourth time he pulls that
card out it's not amazing anymore, in fact it's not even
attractive. You can't tell me that if you could
perform Roddy's magic you wouldn't use it. Think of
the women you could get. You know that guy probably
never gets a ticket when a cop pulls him over, I can even
see them going for a beer afterwards. If you
hate Roddy, it could be that it's because you can't do what
he does.
Josh has led such a low life. As he said it in his
intro, he's all about getting money without working for
it. I think the jury that found his injuries to be
faked in an alleged tripping accident saw that too. I
hope he changes, Merritt seems like a nice girl that
deserves it.
And the rest: I don't need to say anything
about Amy and Marcellas, they speak for themselves, oh
brother do they speak. I would like to have seen more
of Lori. A little hyper, down-to-Earth, different from
the rest, but never stood a chance of winning. Tonya is
a reality show. I don't respect her, but I don't think
she deserves the bashing she took from Amy and
Marcellas. I haven't figured out Gerry. He seems
like someone that would never do a reality show, and yet he
acts, goes to nude beaches and was on "The
Chair." He's having fun with his life, so go
for it! Chiara's enjoying life, needs to stop going
for it.
Lastly, thank you houseguests. I spent the summer
with you, some days I was there for more than twelve hours
at a time. You opened up your lives for us to
see. I watched you laugh, cry, pop zits, eat chicken
livers, and at times deteriorate into Jerry Springer
guest-like behavior. You were great summer
houseguests, in 83 days you never spilled a drink on my
carpet, and that pretty cool. My best wishes to all.

Another Big Brother Going on Now |
| If you're having serious "Big
Brother" withdrawal, and can't wait for July 2003,
there's another "Big Brother" show, and
it's going on now! There are Big Brother houses in
Australia and in Europe. Currently, there's a Big
Brother contest going on in Hungary. The problem is
they speak Hungarian, and I don't.
Although we've never had confirmed sex in the US Big Brother
house, it's happened in the Big Brother houses in
Europe. The most recent display of sex caused
Hungary's media watchdog to slap an unprecedented fine on a
television station after a couple was shown having sex on a
September episode of "Big Brother." "Big
Brother," in Europe has shown explicit sex
scenes and coarse language, this is one of three reality
shows broadcast on Hungarian commercial television.
FREE LIVE FEEDS! The live feeds are free and use
Windows Media instead of RealPlayer. Of course it's
not in English, but it's "Big Brother" and
with sex! CLICK
